Our response to complaint # *** is as follows: The customer came to us to inquire about leasing a New Dodge Challenger. She negotiated a new lease on the vehicle. During the process, she presented to us that she had a leased vehicle that she obtained from another dealer that
she had (three) payments remaining on and those payments had to be part of the deal on the new car. That was calculated into the transaction and agreed to and the deal was consummated and delivery took place. Our dealership made the payment amount that was provided, $to the lease company, as this was the information that was provided to us. I am not exactly sure of when it happened or who notified whom, but at some point, it was learned that the customer had (nine) payments remaining, not as she insisted. It is important to know that this lease did not originate with our dealership, we had no information other than what the customer provided to us and the payment information and account number she provided. We presented a document to her that we use for ALL lease end customers that clearly defines and spells out what our obligations are and what we agree to and this customer signed this document. This customer also was presented a “We Owe” also showing that nothing additional was owed other than a Sunroof, which has been done. I have attached copies of these documents for your review, as well as the copy of the check we sent to the lease company for the payment remittal In closing, our dealership did exactly what we had agreed to and provided the service that was expected of us.
