Review: The movers arrived late. They claimed to bring their own equipment, but brought nothing with them and used my personal dolly, then left it in my neighbor's trash area. They bent a foot stand for my new bowflex treadclimber by being careless. They also pulled the truck's ramp off of its track and I had to return to the truck rental agency to have it repaired before I could continue with my move; this delayed my move by a day and forced me to have to reschedule all of the moving plans to adjust for the delay. When I tried to get the issue resolved, and requested funds to replace the foot on the Bowflex ($20 including shipping and tax), the representative lied about their arrival time, claimed that they brought their own equipment - which is absolutely false, and claimed to have attempted to reach me multiple times by phone - which is also false. I simply want others to be warned as their excuses and denials show that they have no intentions of preventing these issues from happening again in the future.Desired Settlement: It would be nice to receive the $20 for replacing the damaged bowflex foot and an apology for the excuses, falsehoods, etc that they posted on the [redacted].com web site in response to my review and complaint. However, I do not foresee that happening, so I would just like others to be able to view an honest review of their work.

To whom it may concern,

We are responding to the complaint about our Company. I would like to start with the date, customer stated that the service was on the 3rd of July and it was on the 9th of July. Also the customer didn’t complain to us until the 13th of July. Here is a copy of complaints and responds.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The company initially responded by disputing the date of service; to clarify, on the complaint form, I was asked to provide the date of payment, which was 07/03/2013 (please see attached receipt). The move and issues did occur on 07/09/2013. Additionally, the company claims that I did not complain to them until 07/13/2013, which is false. I first lodged a complaint on 07/09/2013 and I am attaching a copy of that here. I gave the company a few days following my complaint to call me, or attempt to address the issue in any way, and instead, they responded with false statements to my complaint online, but did not attempt to contact me directly. Once I determined that they would not address the issue, I formally filed the complaint with www.[redacted].com. In addition, none of that (the dates of complaint, etc.) address the issue. Even if I had waited, how does that negate the fact that the mover was neglectful, made excuses for poor performance, and repeatedly makes denials rather than investigating the issue further?

Regards,

Review: I wish I would have read the previous Revdex.com complaint before I hired Martin Movers it would have saved a lot of time. I used a service that rented moving help. I used this service to hire moving help in the past. This time I wanted the company to unload an ABF truck , drive my belongs to my new home and unload the items. I would not be there but my older Dad would be there, we did this before with no issues.... I knew it was going to take several hours however I did assume...A moving company (5star rated) would have their own supplies. I explained the ENTIRE situation several times before the move and I was assured everything would go smoothly in my absence. Not only did they go wrong , the job was incomplete. They were 45 min to an hour late ( it was time stamped at the dock), they used the wrong truck to transport my items off the ABF so they had to re unload some of my items and then charged us an additional 300 dollars for overtime when they were late all day ( we have text, pictures and etc.) I paid per the original agreement but a new contract was made and signed by my 80 year DAD. Yes I was mad but when you still had to take a 47 inch Tv,computer sytstem, 12 big boxes ,6 bins, a scooter, 1 garment big box and metal frames off a truck that you just paid over 600 dollars for someone else to do...I think you would be tooDesired Settlement: I would like part of the 300 dollars for the overtime pay back because services were not completed. I already notified uhaul.com. I'm not sure this will happen but I want to try

Review: I hired Martin a movers on 8/29/15 to assist with a move. In the process, one of their movers broke the glass inserts for our coffee table. It has been impossible to get a hold of someone who will take responsibility and actually replace our glass. I've tried contacting the manager/owner, [redacted], and he left me a voicemail to call him back at a number that does not accept incoming calls. Every single person that I've talked to from this company refuses to acknowledge the wrong doings and points the finger to the owner, [redacted]. Yet I can't get a hold of him and his workers just point me in circles.Desired Settlement: I expect my glass to be replaced as promised by your worker. I expect your employees to be professional. A man named Anthony said he was going to deliver some glass to me but never showed up at his appointment time and then continued to berate me because he stated he was only doing Martin Movers a favor and doesn't represent them. Who is going to actually take responsibility for this???? Who is actually going to help me get my glass repaired???
