Mr. [redacted] came in to Martin's Auto Repair and Sales, LLC with a 2004 Isuzu Axiom which wasshaking. The computer screen indicated a misfire problem and was diagnosed with a low enginecompression on one of the cylinders. The following were needed to fix the problem: 1 fuel injectorreplaced,...

timing belt replaced, water pumped replaced, engine head bolts, valves replaced, headresurface, head gasket replaced, and head threads repaired, etc.Once all of the work was completed, he took the car and drove off. We did not hear from Mr. [redacted]until three days later with another apparent problem. We checked over all of our work from the firstvisit to ensure it was all done correctly, and it was. However, Mr. [redacted] was not satisfied. We worked with him to ensure our 'work guaranty' andcustomer service by agreeing to take his vehicle to Firestone so they could do a second diagnostic. Wedecided to do this so we could assure Mr. [redacted] that we were not misleading him. The paperworkcame back saying it was a problem with the engine computer- which is different than the low enginecompression on one of the cylinders.Mr. [redacted] was not happy because the agreement between us was if the second reading done byFirestone was related to the initial issue he came to us with, we would pay the fee and fix all of thework. However, if the second reading was completely non- relatable, he would need to pay the fee andfigure out what his future decisions would be regarding this issue.Mr. [redacted] clearly was not happy. He took the paperwork that indicated the issue with the enginecomputer and left Firestone. That put us in the position to pay the diagnostic fee which was not uponour initial agreement. Due to this, we are not willing to do any further work with him.Martin's Auto

Review: I had paid almost $1,700 work done on my car, have taken it back to them numerous times because the car is still not fixed. I have tried to talk and work with them and they have told me they have done what they could. If I knew that was the case I could have just bought a new car with the amount they have charged me. They could have even offered me a trade if my car was in that type of "condition" (as they are a car dealer as well" but they didn't. They even went to the extent to replace things in my car that had no reason to be replaced. I brought that to their attention and because I did, they null and voided the guarantee of any work done on the car. I have tried to get some type of refund or even just work redone or fixed because after all the work they did, my car is now worse then when I took it to them and can't even sell. Even after the work was done they still had the audacity to tell me they do not have the proper equipment to work on my car! They couldn't tell me this before the $1,700 I spent!! Worse ever please read and investigate your mechanics and/or dealers before hand before this happens to you!!Desired Settlement: I would like my money back because my car is now worse then when I first took it to them for repairs, and all I get is excuses from them when I tried to work with them.
