Martin's Trash Service

Refuses to reimburse for property taken by mistake
On ***, I took my personal smoker to work with me at the *** in ***. I used the smoker on ***. I left it plugged in sitting next to the building that night. When I work up on ***, the smoker was gone. I contacted Martin's Trash Service. Mr. stated that he would have the driver check when he dumped his load to see if he had taken the smoker. I called Mr. back and he stated that the driver thought that the smoker was trash and put it in the garage truck. Mr. stated that the smoker was smashed. Mr. said that it was an honest mistake. However, I pointed out that the smoker was still pulled in when the trash guy took it. Mr. stated that "maybe your employer will reimburse you." I asked *** to reimburse me the cost of the smoker which was valued at $***. Mr. stated that he would not reimburse me. Mr. further stated that maybe his employee who had taken the smoker by "mistake" would reimburse me. As of today, I have not heard anything else from Mr.
