Hi! I'm writing this review on Big K Kans! And the owner of this company, a Mr. [redacted].
I contacted the office about having a port-a-potty delivered to my home for the following Saterday for my daughters birthday party. We were having a water slide, pool louo and having a mess of soaking wet kids in and out of my home just is not an option. It's been raining alot here so already the ground is nasty and a bit muddy here and there.
So the following Monday morning I received a call from their delivery guy about when he would be making the delivery later that day. I expressed to the man that it is suppose to be delivered Thursday. And that it was not the best day to have it delived due to us arranging our yard around to accommodate all the equipment and things for the party. If he brought it that day I wouldn't even know were to put it. So he said well the lady at the office mixed up the days of delivery when she spoke to you this past Friday. He began explaining that he made the deliveries for this area on Mondays and not Thursdays. So I then told him that it wouldn't work because if he brought it and we ended up needing that area for the other equipment then we would have to try and move this big port-a-potty.
So he ends the call by telling me yes ma'am I'll work something out to deliver it at the end of the day late Thursday and pick it up the following Monday, like it was ordered to begin with. It's already Wednesday, party is Saterday. I just received a call from the office. When I answered the phone she begins to tell me who she was and that she was just the messenger. That to have the port-a-potty delivered like planned and ordered that I would have to pay a extra $30.00 delivery fee. I told her that I wasn't onay with that. And that they should have mentioned something Monday about charging me a delivery fee. I would have had time to look for another company around the same original price of $60.00
So she asks " well I'm so sorry about that, I don't blame you for being upset at all. But do you still want it were I can put u on the schedual for tomorrow?" I could t believe this. They waited til the last minute to call me. And I was already suppose to be on the scheduled delivery anyway. And I expressed all of this to her. I even wanted to speak to someone else above her about it. But they called at 4:58pm . THEY CLOSE AT 5PM. SO EVERYONE WAS GONE. So I had to tell her no I don't want it of I've got to lay $30 extra dollars. And all I could get out of her was the owners name to be able to rectify the situation. Not a phone # or a time he would be I the office, just his name.
And now I'm sitting here with no place for 20-25 people, most being children to be able to use the bathroom without destroying my brand new carpet and floors in my home. This is not alright for business owners to conduct business in such a way. I will be calling them back in the morning and trying to find the phone # to Mr. [redacted] of Big K Kans in Lake Arthur, Louisiana! I would like to note also that I live Mayne 35 minutes from this fella's business. Not like I'm thay far any way to put a $30 delivery fee on me anyways. I'm not the one who mixed up the delivery guys days, they did.
