I am rejecting this response because: I am curious to know if it seems reasonable I would just give away my mother's furniture without the assurance it would be donated and we would receive a necessary receipt or consign? If the items were in fact going to be listed for sale, wouldn't the reasonable thing to do would be to contact the customer and consign with their consent? I did not donate to Marva's Place (for them to list and profit from), I donated with the assurance it would go to a charitable place that would provide a receiptLibel = a published statement that is damaging to a person's reputationAll of my published words are factual

To Whom It May Concern,All Consignment customers are provided with a copy of the Consignment contractPer the customer's own admission [two times within their complaint], it was their responsibility to keep track of their contract datesUnlike most Consignment businesses, we allow a seven (7)-day
grace period for Consignors to pick up their belongingsNot only did this customer not pick up their items within the time allotted, they waited numerous months "past" their expiration date to make contact. In regards to items not selling, the items provided to us by this Consignor were not desirable to our clienteleWe make no sales guarantees within our contracts. This is a simple matter of a customer not being responsible for their obligations and passing undue blameI trust my response clarifies our stance and resolves this issue permanently. Sincerely,Dwayne T***Business Director, Marva's Place

I am rejecting this response because: Several calls were made to Marva's place prior to the contract expirationThis company rarely answer their phone or return voice messages The few times that I was actually able to reach someone, I was told that my items had not sold and I would be notified if they did I did not receive any communication from them The last time I called I was told that I no longer have any furniture That is not true They have either sold my furniture and refused to tell me so(and thus have not paid me) or they still have in their possession my items Either way, I want to be paid for my items or have my items returned These items were in excellent condition when they left my house (pictures of proof are available) I expect my furniture to be returned in the same condition. Their "contract" was not explained to me in full I was unaware that after days of the expiration that they would claim ownership of my items Instead, I was told, by Marva herself, that if the items hadn't sold by the expiration, that we could extend / renew the consignment term I had no idea that they wouldn't contact me to extend / renew the consignment agreement This company and it's employees are scam artist looking to take advantage of their unsuspecting customers with unethical business operations. ***

The pieces mentioned were placed with Marva’s Place LLC, not MarvaAnd “someone” did not come to Ms***’s homeThis was a “scheduled” pickup performed by three employees from Marva’s Place LLC - myself being among the threeAnd Ms*** understands her pieces were relocated from her home
to our showroom in Plymouth, MN Per our Consignment Agreement (page 2), which Ms*** signed and has in her possession, Consignors are responsible for keeping track of their Consignment datesAt the end of her Consignment period, Ms*** had seven (7) days to pick up her pieces or make the necessary arrangements to extend her contractWe did not hear back from Ms*** until months “after” her Consignment Contract expired In addition, we were not “confrontational” with Ms***Rather, I was cursed out by her and hung up onA fact Ms*** knows too wellHowever, that is even irrelevant at this pointMarva’s Place LLC cannot allow customers to pass their responsibilities onto usOur showrooms and warehouses are not storage facilities and we very much do expect our Consignors to abide by the agreements they enteredThis is the reason EACH Consignor receives a complete copy of their Contract at pickup Lastly, also mentioned on page two (2) of the Contract, Marva’s Place LLC does not guarantee the sale of any itemThus, the reason we make provisions in our Agreements FOR our ConsignorsIt is unfortunate Ms***’s items did not sell, and even more that she failed to be responsible in extending her contract Sincerely, Dwayne *** Business Director, Marva’s Place LLC

I am rejecting this response because:1) Marva never sent a contract update when we brought our additional items, which were the most valuable items we had. I emailed her and asked for an update with the new items listed, and she sent a listing in an email, with no contract copy. Those items were not given the full day showing as they were brought weeks after the first delivery. Those items were also the most precious to our family, and we feel like she absconded with them and the money they brought her.2) Marva's refusal to speak with me, after several attempts with phone messages and emails and a written letter, would seem to be very unprofessional and rude.3) The fact that she never verbally informed us (with two separate deliveries to her shop by different family members) that it was our responsibility to contact her at the end of the days is also highly unprofessional and poor customer service.4) The fact that all unsold items (she only sold item out of 21) were hers to sell at 100% profit when we did not contact her is surely a good impetus for her to not inform us verbally. She never even had to pay the 5% buyout of unsold items since we planned to pick out items up.5) Our items were in Marva's StPaul showroom. She evidently closed that down and moved everything to her other location and didn't inform us of that move.5) I'm submitting the Revdex.com complaint not because I expect Marva will compensate us in any way, but because we feel she was highly unprofessional and uncaring toward us as clients, displaying a lack of integrity in her business dealings
