My apologies in the last message. I meant to write Mrs. [redacted], not Ms. [redacted]. We are extremely busy, so, just seeing this new message, I will respond for the final time regarding this matter. Libel – defamation, is exactly what has transpired here, across several social media platforms. The responsibility, again, for this transaction lies on Mrs. [redacted]. Again, and I do NOT see her addressing this fact – that she was advised IN PERSON that we probably would not be donating the tables and, IF we did, we would forward a donation slip to her. Second, she did NOT enter into a legal agreement with Marva’s. She cancelled that arrangement (i.e. consignment). Third, Mrs. [redacted] accepted cash for her pieces. There is no further response warranted on this manner.
I am rejecting this response because:
I am curious to know if it seems reasonable I would just give away my mother's furniture without the assurance it would be donated and we would receive a necessary receipt or consign? If the items were in fact going to be listed for sale, wouldn't the reasonable thing to do would be to contact the customer and consign with their consent? I did not donate to Marva's Place (for them to list and profit from), I donated with the assurance it would go to a charitable place that would provide a receipt. Libel = a published false statement that is damaging to a person's reputation. All of my published words are factual.
I am rejecting this response because: Several calls were made to Marva's place prior to the contract expiration. This company rarely answer their phone or return voice messages. The few times that I was actually able to reach someone, I was told that my items had not sold and I would be notified if they did. I did not receive any communication from them. The last time I called I was told that I no longer have any furniture. That is not true. They have either sold my furniture and refused to tell me so(and thus have not paid me) or they still have in their possession my items. Either way, I want to be paid for my items or have my items returned. These items were in excellent condition when they left my house (pictures of proof are available). I expect my furniture to be returned in the same condition. Their "contract" was not explained to me in full. I was unaware that after 7 days of the expiration that they would claim ownership of my items. Instead, I was told, by Marva herself, that if the items hadn't sold by the expiration, that we could extend / renew the consignment term. I had no idea that they wouldn't contact me to extend / renew the consignment agreement. This company and it's employees are scam artist looking to take advantage of their unsuspecting customers with unethical business operations. [redacted]
