Marvel Movers

Review: Hired "[redacted]" aka marvel movers to move some furniture into my brand new townhouse. The day of the move they texted me two hours before they were supposed to arrive to inform me that they were stuck at a job and they were going to send their "[redacted]" over to do the move. I tried to call them back because I had expressed concern when first speaking to "[redacted]" on whether the move would be a problem for them seeing as though the furniture was large and heavy and the stairs would be a challenge to navigate. He assured me had had many years of experience and that the move would be no problem. However he did not answer my phone call or call me back. His "[redacted]" then contacted me and said they would arrive soon. Upon arrival they began moving my futniture and it was immediately obvious to me that this move was way over their head. The two men struggled and argued with each other the entire move. Upon completion the furniture did make it into my bedroom, but not without damage done to my brand new walls, railing, stair moldings and wood floor. I have made several attempts to arrange for "[redacted]" aka Marvel movers to compensate me for the cost of fixing the damage to my home. At first I was assured through text that they would "make it right" and pay for the damage. Then I was directed to someone in their sister company to have him take care of the damage. Dealing with him was nothing short of a nightmare so I once again contacted "marvel movers". I have not only sent them pictures of the damage, I also gave them the opportunity to come and see the damage themselves. They never made an attempt to see the damage and at this point I have had all the damage fixed at a cost of $200.00 to me. Now it's at the point where they have stopped responding to me all together.They never should have sent people that A)were not capable of moving the furniture without damaging my home and B)are a different company from the one we hired.Desired Settlement: Want to be reimbursed for the $200.00 we spent to fix the damage that the movers they sent did to our home.
