catalytic converter replaced on her *** Nissan Murano. We completed the repair.She returned April 13, (with an additional miles on the car) stating that she heard a whistling sound when she drove the car. Upon test driving the car, we were able to hear the whistling sound. After inspecting the car, with the engine running, we observed the flex pipe separating when the accelerator was pressed. Given the mileage on the *** (112,000) and the age, this is not unusual. We did not damage this when we replaced the catalytic converter.With the age and mileage on the car, it is not unusual for this part to require replacement. The catalytic converter replaced is still performing correctly, and we did not damage the flex pipe. We do not intend to reimburse the customer for our successful completed catalytic converter replacement.*** *** & Automotive Repair strives to treat all customers with utmost respect; and gladly transports them to and from work or home, as needed.
