On April 19, 2016, the Base Manager of our Waikoloa Operations called the guest's cell phone and left a message as the guest was travelling The guest was refunded the full tour amount and offered a complimentary tour [redacted] and [redacted] ***

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because, I don't feel it's adequatethey wasted a phenomenal amount of my timeduring and afterbecause they didnt inform me tht I couldn't take my ***, my reason for flying was made redundantmy appointment afterward was cancelled because they didn't honor the timelinesi would have to pay a lot of money to get that day backa day of lost wages, another day at the hotel, flight chargesit's horrible that they think that changing the flight plans right before, during and after are acceptableI want them to also pay for my lost time! I find it horrible that they bullied me into signing a waiver as the helicoptor was loadingThey owe me for my lost day!

In response to personal video equipment or cameras not being allowed on board, these types of equipment are permittedAs a courtesy to all guests, we do not allow tablet PCs for use as photographic devices as they can impede the view of other passengersSmartphones may be used as a camera, but
must be in airplane mode during the flight We verified that the guests did have Smartphones with them for picture taking and video. We deeply apologize that there was a problem with the inflight video and we would like to send a complimentary ‘*** ** ***’ DVD featuring the best Hawaiian music of today and the finest aerial highlights of each of the major Hawaiian islandsAlso, if their travels bring them again to our beautiful Hawaiian Islands we would like to extend our local resident’s rate of 25% off a tour of their choice at any of our five locations in the State of Hawaii They may contact me directly to assist with reservations at ***. A voicemail was left for Mr*** by our Assistant Base Manager of Oahu Operations however they did not receive a return call Our Base Manager then reached out via email at which point they did connect and he was able to apologize for any inconvenience. Subject: [redacted]Importance: HighAloha Lorie,Below is Blue Hawaiian Helicopters’ response to the customer complaint below. Seat assignments are not guaranteed as we follow FAA regulations.  Seats are assigned only after all guests have been weighed on our FAA-approved scale at check-in....

 We then take those actual weights and use our FAA-approved computer software to generate a certified weight and balance. This method is the safest way to assign seating and is directly related to our safety standards.  Our helicopters have a 180-degree view and you are able to see no matter where you sit. Our ECO-star aircraft has theater style first-class seating so the back seat is slightly higher for an excellent view. Our standard is to guarantee at least one person per couple a window seat. Mahalo,Nadine
