Mary's Handyman Services Reviews (2)

To: [redacted] Cc: info <[email protected]>; [redacted] Sent: Thu, Jul 9, 2015 11:20 pm Subject: I really don't understand You called me Friday last week and made a huge deal about how pleased you were with the work and that we were finally done....

You loved the floor, you loved the paint. I really don't understand why you would file a complaint with the Revdex.com at this point. I was never told you were not happy with the paint finish or stair nose Gregg installed Monday. You told me you were extremely happy and now this out of the clear blue. I am so disappointed at this point that you don't appreciate the expense and time I have evolved in dealing with this. because you have been such a loyal customer I wanted very much to retain you as a customer. You took full advantage of this situation and now I am feeling like you will never be satisfied no matter what we do. You have been deceptive with me about your appreciation of the work we did. I can't believe you would do this after all we have done to get your home back to BETTER THAN BEFORE (your words.)  I know the schedule was not kept every time but you have to understand that your repairs were not on our schedule and we had to work you into a very full schedule and we did so as we could, you were always a priority and we tried so hard to satisfy you and accommodate your schedule.   I have cc the Revdex.com and will deal with them on this complaint I do not wish to EVER speak to or hear from you again.   I am sick over this I guess this is what you get for doing the right thing.       Mary R[redacted] Mary's Handymen LLC

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.

Gregg was supposed to come last Thursday, never showed up, never called. Then we spoke Thursday night and you told me that he would be there between 8-9am on Monday. They show up at 11.   The punch list was to include: 1) A "custom" chair step that Greg himself told me he would make and stain to match the floor. (All he did was bring another piece of the same wood that did not work before. It did not work, and has already come off) 2) Final touch up painting. I pointed out to him the continued sloppy paint job (which I paid for) and the areas that needed to be addressed   He made an appointment on Tuesday, never showed up AGAIN. This is repetitive behavior on his part and I continued to let you know. It is not like I have not communicated with you.   He did not even have the supplies to do the touchup painting and this is why someone is going to have to return. There are areas that the tape and float did not work and he said he just missed them.   You are right, I am very happy with the floor and the paint color. If you remember, you tried to sell me on a cheap substitute that did not match the thickness of the original floor.   Shocked? How many time have I called you on this project with errors. An example, it took 2 painters to get the ceiling right and it still needs touch up.   I am furious and my patience with your company h come to an end. A 2 week project is in its 9th week and it is still no done.   I have NO regrets of reporting this to the Revdex.com.   As another note, this is the 3rd project that you have had to send multiple people to get it right in the past year:       1) Rotten wood replacement and painting. This had to be totally redone by another worker     2) Roof repair-a second person had to be sent out to get it right     3) Patched floor that you repaired- had to be completely redone because of the terrible job.   And 4th, that I did mention-the exterior painting of the house. I paid $2,000 to have the house scraped prior to painting. I pointed out an area in the entrance to the house where it was not even touched, just painted over. You said that was OK. You even commented it is expensive to "scrape" a house. Well, what did I pay $2000.00 for?   This 4th point, I did not even mention in the complaint, but should have.   Complete photos are available and documentation of visits, late arrivals and no shows is available. I also have photo documentation of the entire 9 week process.   My patience ran out. You acted concerned when I contacted you, but it did not eliminate the poor performance and habits of your workers.   I completely stand by my report to the Revdex.com.   [redacted]
