To Whom it May Concern, I would like to respond to the complaint as follows, keeping in mind that, as an attorney representing a client, much of the case information is confidential and I cannot discuss it My former associate, Mr [redacted] was handling this matter as primary attorneyIn February, 2016, he had to move out of state for family reasonsAt such time, our office was also relocating its primary office from Waterloo, NY to Penn Yan, NYDue to these reasons, there was some delay in the completion of this matter Upon taking over the case, there was some information needed from the client that the court requires to issue the final judgment in the matterI and my staff made several attempts to get the information needed from the client and had to wait a signifigant amount of time to receive the information from the clientI attempted to gain some of the information directly from the Family Court in the County for which the case is being handledThe Court would not release the information to me, as I had not been attorney of record on the previous proceedings I requested that my client give the Court permission to release the records or to send me copies of the paperworkTo date, neither has been doneI have followed up with written requests I have always attempted to return phone calls to the clientI am seldom able to reach him on the number he provides and leave a message requesting a return callIt is often days or weeks before he calls backOn one occassion he attempted to have a 3rd party get information from meDue to confidentiality rules, I cannot discuss case specifics with someone else, especially as I had no permission from my client to do so While I acknowledge some responsibility for the delay in finishing the case, there has been delay caused by my client as well Despite this, I am happy to work with him and finish the case, if he would provide me with the information the court requires for the final judgment I hope this is of assistance.David GMashewskeMASHEWSKE LAW OFFICE, PLLCMain St., P.OBox 175Penn Yan, NY

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me However, I finally recieved a letter in the mail regarding the information on custody needed I have not recieved any phone calls or messages from office Custody papers should have been one of the first things acquired if needed for finalization not the last thing The whold process has been very timely and completely unorganized It will take me a little time to obtain a copy of custody papers since I can not locate the most recent in my personal files and the office requires me to personally go with ID to pick the papers up I have my own construction business and can not drop everything to drive a half an hour away to obtain these files but as soon as I am able I will be sure to do so and drop off at the law office After the law office recieves this information I'm hoping there will be no more delays for which there has already been more than what ever should have beenRegards, [redacted] ***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  However, I finally recieved a letter in the mail regarding the information on custody needed.  I have not recieved any phone calls or messages from office.  Custody papers should have been one of the first things acquired if needed for finalization not the last thing.  The whold process has been very timely and completely unorganized.  It will take me a little time to obtain a copy of custody papers since I can not locate the most recent in my personal files and the office requires me to personally go with ID to pick the papers up.  I have my own construction business and can not drop everything to drive a half an hour away to obtain these files but as soon as I am able I will be sure to do so and drop off at the law office.  After the law office recieves this information I'm hoping there will be no more delays for which there has already been more than what ever should have been. To Whom it May Concern,  I would like to respond to the complaint as follows, keeping in mind that, as an attorney representing a client, much of the case information is confidential and I cannot discuss it.  My former associate, Mr. [redacted] was handling this matter as primary attorney. In...

February, 2016, he had to move out of state for family reasons. At such time, our office was also relocating its primary office from Waterloo, NY to Penn Yan, NY. Due to these reasons, there was some delay in the completion of this matter.   Upon taking over the case, there was some information needed from the client that the court requires to issue the final judgment in the matter. I and my staff made several attempts to get the information needed from the client and had to wait a signifigant amount of time to receive the information from the client. I attempted to gain some of the information directly from the Family Court in the County for which the case is being handled. The Court would not release the information to me, as I had not been attorney of record on the previous proceedings.   I requested that my client give the Court permission to release the records or to send me copies of the paperwork. To date, neither has been done. I have followed up with written requests.   I have always attempted to return phone calls to the client. I am seldom able to reach him on the number he provides and leave a message requesting a return call. It is often days or weeks before he calls back. On one occassion he attempted to have a 3rd party get information from me. Due to confidentiality rules, I cannot discuss case specifics with someone else, especially as I had no permission from my client to do so.  While I acknowledge some responsibility for the delay in finishing the case, there has been delay caused by my client as well.   Despite this, I am happy to work with him and finish the case, if he would provide me with the information the court requires for the final judgment.   I hope this is of assistance.David G.
