Review: Masseys solicited me for credit with a pre-approved catalog. I ordered an item paid on time, ordered another item a month or two later and paid it on time. They sent the second item to the wrong address so I didn't know it was delivered. When I received a lackluster response to non-delivery and how I had to fill out a form before issuing credit, I asked them to take me off their mailing list. Then they sent pre-approved catalogs under different merchant names: K. Jordan and Stoneberry. Tried to order through the latter first with an order close to 260.00. They confirmed the order but never sent me information on it so when I checked online, it had not shipped. I emailed them and they said they want a 50% deposit. Now I can see this if I had no credit history, but that is outrageous. So I placed a second order for half the amount- same lack of response and requesting half down- what? I have a good payment history- does not warrant it. So I order the same item through their other merchant. This time they did not approve the order and same conduct- confirmed, not delivered no communication. So it looks like their is one credit department and they are not approving the orders because I won't send them a deposit which I feel is unwarranted given my good payment history with them. I never received any information about a credit line. Highly unprofessional, unethical and inconsisting credit practices! This appears to be a bait and switch scheme.Desired Settlement: Approve and send my orders with K Jordan and Stoneberry as you solicited me for a pre-approved account.

Review: A few months ago, I was receiving calls from this company repeatedly, sometimes I would come home to multiple missed calls/ voicemails from them. On more than one occasion, I was home to answer the phone and told the person calling that they had the wrong number. We got this phone number in June and I guess it belonged to someone who has an account in arrears with this company. Twice I was told they would stop calling me. Today I received another phone call asking for someone I don't know and told them they do not live here and to please take me off this list. The person rudely responded "well this isn't a list". I blocked the number but I don't want to be harassed for someone else's credit problems anymore. When it's confirmed that the person you are looking for is no longer at that number, you should stop calling.Desired Settlement: Stop calling phone numbers when it's been confirmed (3 times) that the person you are looking for is NOT at that number.

Review: I have been a faithful, loyal customer of Masseys since 2010. I have had a few pairs of defective shoes from them, but they unraveled soon after purchase, so I was within their 120 day policy. What about a shoes that falls apart shortly after the 120 day mark, like 20 days after? Is that SHOE DEFECTIVE--yes it is. Should that company take resposibility for their quality of products YES they should. Any normal company like Nordstrom or Macys would have easily taken back something if it was their fault, no matter how long it was.

I had 2 pairs of Jake Oxford, and when I told the girl (after wearing them only 3 times or so) that the seam on a wide shoe just came aloose on the bottom (ihave narrow feet!) she robotically replied, but its past our 120 day. I thought the first pair was a fluke....................when I accidently examined the 2nd pair of shoes in exactly the same style, the snake skin was peeling off. Ihad worn these even less---Nordstrom would have grabbed those shoes so fast, and apoligized, and refunded my money. NOT MASSEYs, they promised me they would accept these back by email, and refund me as a 1 time courteys. After I packed them up and sent them I waited. Today Thursday the 5th they returned them back to me.

This company DOES NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR MISTAKES, I PRAY THEY CHANGE OR GET OUT OF THE RETAIL BUSINESS. ..Desired Settlement: IF THEY EVEN VOLUNTEERED TO SEW THEM UP OR REPAIR THEM, AT LEAST THEY TRIED TO MAKE IT RIGHT--BUT THEY DIDNT OFFER ANYTHING----

I JUST HAVE TO EAT THE COST OF 98.00 X 2!!! ON TOP OF THAT THESE SHOES WERE SO SLIPPERY ON THE BOTTOMS THAT I HAD TO LIGHT SCORED WITH A BUTTER KNIFE , SO THAT I WOULD NOT FALL AND BREAK A HIP!..............MANY REVIEWERS CLAIMED THAT THESE "JAKE OXFORDS" WERE SLIPPERY, AND THEY HAD TO SEND THEM BACK---

THEY ACCUSED ME OF SCUFFING THEM UP ON THE BOTTOM, WHEN I CLEARLY EXPLAIN WHY---DONT SELL SHOES THAT PEOPLE CANNOT WALK IN SAFELY, AND I WONT HAVE TO SCORE THEM ONT HE BOTTOM--PROBLEM SOLVED.

FACE YOUR UNFAIR POLICIES AND CHANGE OR GO OUT OF BUSINESS--YOU DONT DESERVE CUSTOMERS

Response:

Regarding case [redacted] for [redacted] zip code [redacted].

The complaint states having received defective merchandise and our return policy is unfair.

I checked the order [redacted] which was placed on 3-14-2013.

There is a note that MS. [redacted] called on 1-08-2014 stating the stitching was unraveling. At that time the customer service rep said the shoes are over the 120 return policy and we would not accept them back. Actually they were 10 months old at that time which was 7 months past the return policy.

Under desired settlement there was mention of having them sewn up and repaired.

If MS. [redacted] wants to have them repaired locally we will allow up to $20.00 each to have them repaired.

That said we will credit a total of no more than $40.00 upon receiving a receipt for the repair to be sent to me at

Review: I ordered two pairs of shoes from Mason Easy Pay, a brand for Mason Companies, Inc. When I ordered these shoes online, the return policy stated that if I was not satisfied for any reason, to use the return label to return the shoes and that I would only be responsible for the $7.95 return fee. When the shoes arrived, they did not fit correctly even though I ordered them in my usual size. I placed the return label on the box and mailed them back to Mason Easy Pay in December of 2015. I received an invoice for entire purchase price of the two pairs of shoes in January of 2016 and called Mason Easy Pay as I had returned these items. The representative acknowledged the return of both pairs of shoes and stated that they would issue the appropriate credit to the account and that I would receive an updated invoice in February of 2016 for the $7.95 return fee. I received the updated invoice today and it was for $32.10. I called Mason Easy Pay and spoke with both a supervisor and manager who advised that I was responsible for not only the $7.95 return fee but the $22.95 in shipping costs to mail the order to me in December of 2015. I stated several times that their return policy NEVER indicated that I would be responsible for the original shipping cost of $22.95. Both individuals stated that if I did not pay the $22.95, that I would be forwarded to collections and the account would be reported negatively to my credit report. My account number at Mason Easy Pay is 054849137-02.Desired Settlement: At this time, I would like my credit account closed and I would like the entire balance of $32.10 credited to my account. Given the difficulty that I have encountered with Mason Easy Pay's representatives and their questionable business practices, I no longer feel that I owe this company anything.
