Review: I sled and hit my 2010 Honda Civic to the curb on Jan 10th and brought the car to Greenwich Honda for repair.I dropped my car on Jan 21st and after initial review it was promised to be done in a week. But due to snow storm they said that they will receive the parts late and they will get it done on Jan 29th, Wednesday. They delayed to delivery and I had to pick up the car on Jan 31st, Friday almost two weeks after. When we picked up:-Car was still vibrating-When you brake, steering wheel was shaking-Steering wheel was tilted to the right. I am sure if a mechanic would have taken the car for a test drive properly, they should have figure out the problem before they gave it back to me.I brought the car back one day later on Feb 1st for another review. Service manager apologized that they didnt take the car for test drive properly and diagnosed the problems. They solved the vibration problem during the braking by removing material from brake discs and said that they found out the vibration actually caused by front right axle. They ordered the parts and told me to plan to replace it on Feb 2-3rd. They offered free rental (that never happened) and replace the axle in 1-2 days since this is their fault. They called back on Feb 7th Friday to let me know that they received the axle.I called the service department on Feb 12th to schedule the repair but the service said that they can replace the axle on Saturday without any rental offering. I had to drive another two more days in the same conditions. After repair on Feb14, they changed the axle and redone the alignment. After a quick test drive, steering wheel was still tilted and vibration was still exist as same as before. When I heard that they didnt take the car for a test drive after the first repair, its a huge disappointment for me. It gives me an impression that before they deliver the car back to customer, they dont know the condition of the car. When I picked up the car and found out that car is still the same, I was pretty upset.Desired Settlement: I am pretty upset and I demand to get my repair done properly.

Just an update the Service Manager is meeting with the customer tomorrow.

Review: I decided on not getting a lease after putting down a quasi-good faith deposit. It was very unofficial. I was asked to submit 1 or 2 hundred dollars to get the process rolling, but never signed anything. I put down $650 on Wednesday, June 24th, and cancelled the lease and was told I could have my refund no problem on Friday, June 26th. It is now July 9th, and I still have not seen any money back from my refund. I call every day, and every day get a different response.

Hoping to speed up the process, I went down in person and swiped my card Thursday, July 2nd. I still have not received any notice or refund. Upon calling today I was informed that it's "out of their hands" as they have already processed the transaction on their end. Upon inquiring if I could contact whomever is responsible, I was literally told "no" that they will do it, as they have the account. Obviously, I have not been contacted back. Again, I asked for the refund and provided card info 15 days ago, swiped my card in person 7 days ago, and still have not received my refund for $650. I am told it's "out of their hands" and I have no option but to simply wait for my money? Wait how long? Incredibly unprofessional and disorganizedDesired Settlement: I want my $650 back that was promised to me almost 2 weeks ago.

Response:

Hello, I submitted a complaint yesterday, ID# [redacted]. I would like to close the dispute because, although incredibly late and requiring endless calls, I have been paid my money, and the issue is adequately resolved. I could not find an option online to close the dispute, so I am emailing you to let you know. Thank you, [redacted]

Review: January 26, 2014, I visited the Honda Dealer in Greenwich CT. I brought and ad from the [redacted] where they offered a lease on a Honda Accord 2014 ($2000 down, $159x36 months, $13800 residual value. + taxes, fees...)I sat with sales persons [redacted] and [redacted]. Taking as a base the month's special offer then adding fees and taxes, we negotiated a final price. We reached an agreement on the down payment and monthly payments and then shook hands. When completing the paperwork I realized that Mr. [redacted] added 3 extra months to the term of the lease WITHOUT DISCLOSING it during the negotiations. Also the residual value of the car was raised in $1000. I found Mr. [redacted]'s tactics to be very deceptive. Hiding facts and taking advantage of my good faith. I am very disappointed with my experience. I felt cheated and fooled, like being in a game of three-card monte rather than at a respectable car dealership. Is this is the way Honda does business in CT?Desired Settlement: We want the dealer to make good on his offer for the month of February and adjust the numbers of the lease to the advertised offer for that month ($2000 down, $159x36 months, $13800 residual value. + Taxes, fees...). In short, we want the dealer to honor his word.

To whom it

may concern,

I have spoken to everyone in the

dealership who was involved in this deal and have found the following information.

The customer came in on an advertisement which I have attached. The advertisement

reads $159.00 per month plus tax with $1999.00 cash down plus, $557.91 sales

tax, plus $179.00 conveyance fee plus, $269.00 etching plus, $595.00 bank fee

plus $180.00 new plates and a first payment of $159.00 for a total of $3938.91.

He did not want to put the $3938.91 out of pocket but the money must go

somewhere. He put down is $2730.00 so $1208.91 went into the lease. By putting

the $1208.91 into the lease his 36 month payment would have been $193.00.

Instead [redacted] extended the term 3 months. If you take the $1208.91 and divide

by 39 months that equals $31.00 per month. Adding $39.00 to his payment of $159.00

equaling $190.00. His current payment is $186.08 so I believe [redacted] did the

right thing for the customer. He worked numbers with [redacted] and [redacted] that

changed the advertised lease to fit his financial needs. He signed the buyer’s

order that discloses $2730.00 Total out of pocket, 32,499 miles in the lease

and a term of 39 months. He then went in to the finance office to sign the

lease. He again questioned the numbers so [redacted] came in and went over the

numbers again. [redacted] went over all the numbers and he signed the lease. If

there were a problem this is the point where the customer should not have taken

delivery but instead told [redacted] it was ok and signed the lease. He signed two different documents at two

different times with the exact lease parameters. I will contact the customer to

see what resolution we may come up with.

Review: I gave my car for service on 8/15/(Invoice # [redacted])The service is for Oil change which includes multi point inspectionAfter the car was serviced, they gave me a multi point inspection report which recommended Replacement of Engine Air FilterThe report says the front break pads are in Satisfactory conditionDuring this service, I discussed with the Service Manager that my car is the brake pedal pulsates when I apply brakeHe recommended to schedule an appointment and checkI scheduled another appointment on 8/21/to check the BrakesThey again performed the same multi point inspection and now the report shows me that the front break pads is a priority item that must be changedIf the multi point inspection was actually performed on 8/15, I don't have to spend another $[redacted] on 8/(Invoice # [redacted]) just to know that the brake pads must be changedWhen I raised this with the [redacted], they said they will inform technician about it.Desired Settlement: 1) [redacted] has a check list as part of Multipoint inspectionThey should strictly follow the checklist and provide service2) Due to the negligence of [redacted] during the Multipoint inspection on 8/15, I have to take a day off and go to Honda Service again(on 8/21) and I have paid $[redacted] for service\diagnosingI request [redacted] to compensate it
Business
Response:
I invited the customer to come back to the dealership to resolve his issueThe way the first mechanic filled out the multi point inspection made it hard to understand the remaining life of the brake padsI have apologized and thanked him for bringing this to our attention and corrections have been made in the way the form will be filled out in the futureHe has already had the brakes replaced somewhere elseI have offered to refunding the $[redacted] charged on 8/and he seemed to be ok with this offer

Review: I'm very upset about the sales tactics, that was used on me, to make me lease a new car.The sales person was very dishonest about the whole deal. I was under the impression that I will get a great deal if I take the car with me that night. I was told that [redacted] is giving five hound dollars if I do the deal. I trusted that sales person so much, because I leased my current car through him. I singed the deal within 2 hrs of me arriving to the dealership driving away 2013 [redacted]. I put down 2000 dollars singing for 36 months payments of 539.00 per month. The problem is ,when they took my leased car I was told and assured by that sales person that has no effect on the deal. I found out later that they added 5000.00 in to my payment on the new [redacted]. I tried to reach out few times to try rectify the five thousand dollars that was put extra on my lease ; Xlt 2013 [redacted]. no one could help or protect from such a thing. they know they get away with it. I will never trust greenwich [redacted] or lease or buy from them again.Desired Settlement: To adjust my payment to what my 2013 [redacted] leases for based on 2000.00 down.no trade in.

Business

Response:

The car was delivered then the customer had concerns which were put to rest and now 11 months later it has become an issue again. The paperwork I have attached shows we went into hold back by $1073.00 to put this deal together. Where the customer feels we made or owe him $5000.00 is beyond me. The customer was in another lease that he was buried in by another dealer and not us. He went from an [redacted] to a [redacted], two totally different vehicles. All we did was buy him out of his current car which was worth $13600.00 but had a payoff of $17858.00. He was quoted the payment of $539.00 for the new [redacted] and as you can see on the buyers order he signed and approved that number.

Sincerely,

General Manager
