Mason's Crazy Deals

My husband and I purchased a used lawnmower ($200 down and $200 within 30 days) from this business and it malfunctioned before we could even use it. He agreed to repair the item, but it took us a while to get the mower, which was stuck in our backyard, back to his store. He stood by his word and repaired it, but he became belligerent and made threats to keep the item and our money. He argued with me because we refused to pay for a part the lawnmower needed, stating that we had not paid as agreed. I explained that we hadn't paid the remaining $200 balance because we were waiting until the lawnmower was working properly. He had provided us with a warranty, so the part it needed should have been free. We paid the balance, but even though I asked him to stop speaking disrespectfully and that I had nothing else to say, he continued to yell at me. I couldn't continue to argue with him, as I have a medical condition and nearly passed out in the parking lot of his store following this event. I was surprised at his lack of professionalism, and I will never do business with him again. .

Review: Recently my father and I took a push lawn mower and a chain saw to Crazy Mark's for repair. The push mower needed fine tuning and a part replaced. The chain saw's cranking cord had broken and needed replacing. That is all that was wrong with the two pieces of equipment. When we got our lawn and garden equipment back, my dad went to mow his lawn and the push mower cranked, ran for about 5 minutes, and promptly stopped working permanently! My husband cranked his chain saw and the choke (which was not broken when we took the saw for the cord repair) flew completely out of the saw and the newly replaced cord came completely out of the saw.My father ended up buying a new lawn mower because his was kaput after Crazy Mark's got hold of it. My husband and I now have a useless chainsaw just sitting here. I would never go back or recommend anyone to take so much as even a tricycle to this business for repair!Desired Settlement: I don't know how much it cost my father to have his lawn mower "repaired", however it cost me $15 to have the chainsaw "repaired". I would like a refund in the amount of $15 to go toward a decent repair for the chainsaw at another repair shop.My dad bought a new mower and has stated he will never return to Crazy Mark's for anything.
