Mass Collision

I went to Mass Collision on X-XX-XX to ask about a paint job for my car. He told me it would be [redacted] plus tax. I saw a truck in the lot & asked if he had painted that also & he said yes, I asked him if he was charged [redacted] for it & he said yes. So I said okay I'd like to have my car done. After he gave me that quote I told him about a rust spot on the right back fender and asked him how much it would be for him to fix it. He said it would be an extra [redacted] I said OK. He wrote up my bill & with tax it came to [redacted] he said if I paid right then he would give me a credit & only charge [redacted] I paid with my credit card so I could save the [redacted] This was all written up on the receipt. A week later I called him to check on my car & he said it was done. I went to pick it up & looked it over, wasn't a great job, but for the price I was willing to overlook all the missed spots & running paint. However when I checked the rust spot I noticed he didn't touch it. I asked him about it, we got to talking and finally I said since you didn't do that part I'd like the [redacted] back that I paid for it. Then he started to explain to me that the [redacted] was for taping & sanding the car plus materials. Originally that was ALL included in the [redacted] So I asked him if he would've used some materials to do the rust spot & he said Yes, I asked for the labor & material fee back & he said no. He said he'd give me [redacted] back - we went back & forth about it & I said how much would it have cost for those things & he said he wasn't going to figure things out to the penny, he'd give me [redacted] - I tried to reason with him & even said I'd take [redacted] back & call it even & leave but he refused. He insisted that 1/2 of the [redacted] he charged me was for prepping the car, but I would not have been charged that extra [redacted] if I hadn't asked for him to repair the rust spot. Then he told me to leave the car then, I told him no because at this point I don't trust him & I need my car. He told me to get out of his business & don't come back.Product_Or_Service: Paint job on carDesired SettlementI would like back my [redacted] that I paid him for doing over the rust spot on the fender - I was willing to meet him half way but after being treated like this by him I am not willing to settle for half. He told me specifically it would be [redacted] on top of the [redacted] to fix that spot - he didn't do it.
