Revdex.com:  Groupon (through whom I purchased the 3 massages) has told me they are sorry and are issuing a refund to me on my Credit Card.
I have no further complaint as Groupon is refunding me but Massage 54 needs to be reviewed as they just don't seem to answer the...

telephone nor do they
return your calls; furthermore, they should always make air conditioning available to their customers in hot and humid weather.  A customer should not have to ask for air conditioning and if it is available, it should be "on".
The business has not returned my phone calls either.   ID [redacted].

Review: I purchased a package of 4 gift certificates for 1 hour massages. The business is still at their physical address (and from what I understand is current on paying their lease) but they do not open their doors, answer or return phone calls, or respond to emails and booking requests on their website. The super in the building told me they are not seeing anyone, and one of their massage therapists, who took a job next door at another company, told me she no longer works for Massage 54 and they still owe her $700. This massage therapist's name is the one they show as available on their bookings site. It seems very clear that the owner has no intention of returning my calls or emails, providing the massages I've already paid for, or refunding the money I paid for them in advance.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund for the amount I paid for the massages I did not receive. She can issue a cashiers check to me or refund my credit card in the amount of $!40 which doesn't include the taxes I paid.

Sincerely,

Review: I bought a [redacted] voucher for a 60 minute massage at Massage 54. The total cost was $40. The customer must book an appointment to redeem the voucher. The problem is, the company does not allow you to book an appointment. I tried to book at least 5 different times through the online booking page. All of these times, which were supposedly open, were rejected. I tried calling, texting, and even showing up in person to redeem my voucher. They simply said there were no available times and they refused to give me a refund. It is blatant fraud.Desired Settlement: They should refund the purchase price of the [redacted].

Review: On April **, 2014 I purchased a gift card from Massage 54 entailing me to three massage services for the price of $99. I was able to make and keep one of those appointments but since have not been able to contact anyone regarding further services. Both the phone number to the business and website are no longer in use.Desired Settlement: Refund all persons affected by the close of the business.

Review: I had bought two massage packages for $99.00 each. Each package is good for 3 massages.

They have not honored my request for the third massage on the first package. I have called several times, left voicemail messages as well as used their online booking request. I made the request for the massage two months ago.

I have not made a request for services on the second package yet, but have little faith in their honoring that request either. Therefore I want a refund on this package also.

Although they took my money, they never gave me the credit for the second package on their online website. The website indicates that I have no packages.Desired Settlement: I would like a $33 refund on the first package for failure to provide the service.

I would like a $105.45 ($99 plus tax) refund on the second package for failure to provide services.

Total refund: $138.45.

Sincerely,

Review: This company has allowed and encouraged consumers to purchase prepaid massage certificates. However, after scheduling an appointment to utilize the certificate for a one hour massage, the company has not honored that appointment, and cannot be reached by phone, email or website.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the amount of the certificate $35.15; however, I would like the company to be accountable for their failure to meet their obligations to their customers.

Review: I made a payment of $105.44 to [redacted] aka Massage 54 for a series of three massages and have been unable to reach them in person, by phone or e-mail. I had a scheduled appointment on July [redacted] at 1:00 PM but when I arrived they were closed. I have tried to call and e-mail many time since then but get no response. The phone message says they are not accepting any calls.Desired Settlement: I would like to get my money back

Review: This business never answers the phone during the day. I get a recording that one of the agents will be with me and yet, I know there is only one person answering the phone and I tried three times today to reach them, only to be told to leavve a message and they would get back to me. Furthermore, when I went there for a massage, there was no air conditioning available as far as the therapist/masseuse knew and offered a fan. When I cancelled right there and then due to intolerable heated conditions, the therapist left the room and the lady at the desk said they"had air conditioning" and all she had to do was turn it on. Well, it was hot and why didn't the therapist know this and why didn't they turn on theair conditioning in the first place.I got a package of three massages through Groupon - and am going to tryand cancel my last and get a refund. This place has many more deficiencies as far as customer service is concerned. The public shouldbe treated in a better fashion than poor telephone service and heated conitions beyond the pale when they go for a massage, they are not goingfor a sauna.Desired Settlement: A refund for my final massage (#3 of 3) and also that they improve theirtelephone answering system - they need more staffing and/or a more pleasant environment - i.e. too hot - need air conditioning.
