Massage Envy and Spa

Review: I was gifted a 1 year membership to massage envy in hopes of helping with chronic pain issues. Not only did the therapy not help me, but, as my condition (bladder) worsened, it because painful for me to lay on my stomach for a massage. My husband tired repeatedly to cancel the contract, explaining why. They neglected to tell him for 2 months (May and June 2014) that we needed to fill out a form. As soon as I contacted them, they faxed over the form. The second issue, was they required a note from my doctor. Now I currently see 5 doctors for medical conditions, and have become MUCH worse lately physically requiring brain scans and many other tests. My doctor (primary) simply did not have the time for such nonsense. She finally did get a note out and I sent it. meanwhile, I begged the company to stop charging me for a service not received and blocked them from my credit card. I simply cannot believe how cruel this company is to someone enduring so much pain on a daily basis. The manager said she'd charge me for July as well, since she received the dr note a few days after they charge! I also had sustained a shoulder injury during this time as well and certainly could not have received a massage. The way this was handled is disgraceful!!! What happened to customer service, human decency and showing an ounce of concern for someone in chronic excruciating daily pain?Desired Settlement: I refuse to pay for services that I could not receive. It is their fault for not giving to us the correct form for over 2 months (May and June) and not my issue that the doctor couldn't find the time to write up a letter in her "spare" time. Then they called yesterday to inform me that I have 3 massages to be used on file! What??? I cannot use them- that's the whole point! I will NOT pay for May, June or July 2014 as I did not receive services and had been trying to cancel since May 2014. Thanku
