I mailed a request to cancel my membership in 8/19/2013 and I am still being billed for services after my request and have been sent to collections.I signed up for membership while traveling. On August 19, 2013 I sent a written request to cancel my membership as at the time I traveled to quite remote locations and was not able to utilize their services as I thought. The company continued to debit my account until I closed the account and contacted the owner by the name of [redacted] via telephone. He instructed my to email information to [redacted] after our phone call. I was told by Mr. [redacted] that he would take care of the problem, however the company has continued to try and bill me for months after my termination letter and have now sent me to collections for services that I expressed both verbally and written that I no longer wanted or needed. My credit card company has had to block them from billing my card as well as refund previously paid debits to my account.Desired SettlementI would like them to remove any negative information from the credit reporting bureau's and to stop harassing me for payment of services after the cancellation date. Business Response This was a mistake on our part and we have cancelled the membership and the collection letters. This attempt at collection was not reported to any credit agency.

I canceled my membership on 4/6/2014 and now, 4/14/2014, I am still being harassed by a collection agency! I was a member here for about six years. The membership is paid monthly by my debit card. I had to get a new debit card. They called wanting the new debit card number which I did not have at that time. I inquired about how many massages I have already paid for and was told three. I asked to schedule an appointment and was refused service because they did not have a valid credit card on file! I have already paid for three massages and I am being told no, I cannot get them. I told them at that time, around the end of January, to cancel my membership and refund my money. I refuse to be blackmailed for services paid verses recurring revenue for them. On 4/6/2014 my son brought me mail from my ex-wife's house, I have been divorced for over two years. I opened it and to my amazement it was from a collection agency for Massage Envy! I got in my car and went there to confront them. I spoke with [redacted] the manager. She showed that my account was suspended and not canceled. She told me she would cancel the membership, refund my money and make sure that [redacted] would be updated. That I would not receive any further collection letters or that this would be reflected upon my credit report. On 4/20/2014 my son brought me yet another letter from the collection agency addressed to my ex-wife's house, not mine! I spoke to [redacted] today, 4/22/2014, and she reassured me that everything is fine and it must be a letter that was "in process". I called [redacted] as well and they told me it is all up to Massage Envy to fix this and it is apparently not done. I spoke to [redacted] there at [redacted]. I have also tried to reach the owner of Massage Envy, [redacted] but I have not been able to reach him. I am amazed at the unethical business practices of Massage Envy, the way that I have been treated and the lack of urgency to get this matter resolved. Being a member there for over six years and they do not even have my correct mailing address on file! Desired SettlementI want written acknowledgement of Massage Envy for their failure to resolve this issue as well as evidence that my membership is canceled and account closed. I want written acknowledgement from [redacted] that I am not in "collections". [redacted], the owner of this franchise should make himself more available via phone or email as well. If this collection shows up on my credit report I will seek legal action against Massage Envy, [redacted] and [redacted] as well. Business Response We cancelled the membership in question as requested and the letter, which is automatically created by our system and is not reported to any credit bureau, was already generated and we couldn't stop it. We didn't realize until it was too late. I have checked our system and this membership with [redacted] (the company that generated the letters) shows paid in full. Our system shows the membership cancelled. The customer states he has tried to contact me, but I have not received any emails or phone calls that remain unanswered.[redacted]
