This is a statement from our Director of Community Education, [redacted] : "Since this was the first time we offered this program at South Shore Community Action Council (and with a new instructor), I was onsite the first couple of nights to make sure to deliver textbooks, introduce myself and the new instructor and have students complete the GPSTEM and Field Trip liability forms At that time, I gave all of the students my card in case they had any questions Since then, I have not been contacted by [redacted] directlyOn December 12, 2016, she called the community ed office, at that time the administrative assistant informed [redacted] that the program is not [redacted] approved and that I would contact her to follow up [redacted] spoke to ***, then forwarded ***’s number by email for me to call On December 13, 2016, I called and left a message for [redacted] explaining that the course is not [redacted] approved and what the process is to become certified and to call me with any questions To date, I have not received a call or email from [redacted] regarding this matterAdditionally, the student was absent on the final class meeting on December 12, As a result, the instructor made special accommodations for [redacted] to mathe class and take the final exam on Monday, December 19, The student has passed the course and is eligible to register for Part II starting in the Spring semester I sent a letter to the student yesterday explaining she passed and included a pre-filled registration form"Another note, the student never asked for a refund or attempted to withdraw upon learning that the program is not [redacted] accreditedAlso, MA does not have its own accrediting bodyThe student completed the course survey and gave the course the highest score in all categoriesShe also wrote in that she had no pre-conceived expectations (such as national accreditation) [redacted] ***

 That women was only there the first night, not a couple nights. We did not receive the notes stating it was not accredited until the next week. As far as the returned call, it took a couple days, so it seemed I was being g avoided. As far as not showing for the last class, I had explained to the instructor that there was a family problem. Yes, the instructor, not the one listed in the course description, insisted on making sure I took the test. As far as my response on the evaluation. My lack of expectations, was based on how well I would be taught, not on the administration. That is all.
