I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowWe did do our final walk through and we were satisfied at the time with the repairs doneBut upon further inspection after moving in, it appeared as though they were not done properlyAs I stated before, the handrail fell out of the wall shortly after moving inThis has since been removed entirely and we are redoing the basement because it wasn't done well the first timeThe improvements done to the inside of the home are beautiful, yes, but care in their completion was not providedNails were left unhammered into the carpets they put in and we've since cut our feet on themThe basement was not insulated and upon inspection from the town code enforcer, it was confirmed by him that there were no permits for the work done down thereAlso there were multiple electrical issues our contractor found, things not being done up to code, or improperly, etcAnd yes we did aggressively pursue early possession because we were virtually homeless with our two small childrenThe lawyer for the seller (Massett Real Estate) sent the title documents to the incorrect address and delayed our closing by almost two weeks costings us THOUSANDS in hotel/food/travel/moving expenses and nothing was offered to us in assistanceI find that to be deplorableWhen a mistake is made, it should be rectifiedEspecially when innocent young children are involvedI still believe our complaints have a solid base to themI just hope that the next house this guy flips and sells for profit, he doesn't do a half- [redacted] job and leave someone else with issues to fix after all is said and doneI have nothing further Regards, [redacted] ***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. We did do our final walk through and we were satisfied at the time with the repairs done. But upon further inspection after moving in, it appeared as though they were not done properly. As I stated before, the handrail fell out of the wall shortly after moving in. This has since been removed entirely and we are redoing the basement because it wasn't done well the first time. The improvements done to the inside of the home are beautiful, yes, but care in their completion was not provided. Nails were left unhammered into the carpets they put in and we've since cut our feet on them. The basement was not insulated and upon inspection from the town code enforcer, it was confirmed by him that there were no permits for the work done down there. Also there were multiple electrical issues our contractor found, things not being done up to code, or improperly, etc. And yes we did aggressively pursue early possession because we were virtually homeless with our two small children. The lawyer for the seller (Massett Real Estate) sent the title documents to the incorrect address and delayed our closing by almost two weeks costings us THOUSANDS in hotel/food/travel/moving expenses and nothing was offered to us in assistance. I find that to be deplorable. When a mistake is made, it should be rectified. Especially when innocent young children are involved. I still believe our complaints have a solid base to them. I just hope that the next house this guy flips and sells for profit, he doesn't do a half-[redacted] job and leave someone else with issues to fix after all is said and done. I have nothing further.

into the basement. This was AFTER the final walk through. He refused to fix the broken garage door and told us the stove wad fixed, and that was. The stove was fine. We are still trying to find out of he obtained permits for the plumbing work he did.

October 24, 2016  To Whom It May Concern:   We, Massett Real Estate LLC, were alerted to a customer complaint #[redacted] on October 14 and wish to respond. We stand fully behind the work and product the customer purchased, and believe that no breach of contract has occurred. Buyer purchased a renovated home. Many interior aesthetic improvements were made to the home, all work was completed by a licensed contractor prior to the listing and sale of the home. The buyer lists a number of complaints ranging from a faulty hand rail, stove hook up not being complete and gas fireplace gas line not being turned on. Each of the items buyer lists in the complaint were either identified by the buyer’s independent home inspector or the buyers themselves during final walk through. Per agreement between buyer and Massett Real Estate the hand rail was repaired, hook up for brand new stove was completed, and the gas line for fireplace was turned on. Buyer did a second walk through after these additional work items were completed, before the closing. Buyer references in their complaint that no work orders or documentation were provided, and we respond that none were requested and it would be unusual to provide them at all, and certainly not required by law. Massett Real Estate closed on the sale of the home with the buyer in the good faith that all expectations had been met, since the buyer themselves had confirmed that additional requests had been satisfactorily met. We were unaware of any further dissatisfaction until receiving notice from the Revdex.com.Additionally, buyer makes reference to a gas leak in the basement that occurred sometime in the three months since the closing. Massett Real Estate had no knowledge of this concern at the time it owned the home, or at the closing. The independent inspector also makes no note of this concern, which indicates it wasn’t leaking when the home was sold. We do not know what occurred in the home after the sale to cause a leak, but stand behind the soundness of the home at time of sale.  Buyer aggressively pursued early possession of the home prior to closing, going so far as to repeatedly contact the owner directly through Facebook, sending several emails and coming in person to the seller’s attorney’s office. Unfortunately, we feel that their dissatisfaction with not receiving early possession may have spurned their lodging unfounded complaints. Thank you to the Revdex.com for the opportunity to respond to these exaggerated and unfounded claims. We stand by our work and look forward to working with other families and individuals in the Syracuse area. Sincerely,[redacted] Massett, President, Massett Real Estate LLC
