Per this complaint, MrsCalled on 5/11/to say the ac was not working I told her no problem, we would get someone out that day I further went on to say that she has year parts and labor warranty, and there would be no charge if it was warranty related Our
technician arrived, and found that the double pole amp breaker was turned off He turned it back on, cycled system, and found everything working properly He would have then collected for our service call charge, but only the children were home, so I had to bill it out.It was hot that day, and we were extremely busy Our tech worked overtime to get there and arrivedat 5:PM He was on overtime at this point, but we did not charge overtime rates, and had it been warrantyrelated we would not have charged him at all, even though the warranty states the work is covered during regularbusiness hours I am pretty sure it would have been very hard to get another licensed company out at all that day, and especially without emergency service rates.Unfortunately, the problem was not a warranty related issue; therefore, we cannot collect for our costs ona claim Even though the problem was simple, the tech was paid overtime, and he was in Chardon at his previous call, and still had to go to Richmond Hts., so travel time and expenses to stop off in Mentor first to fit him in was also a factor.When Mrfirst called, it was another very busy day, and since the matter wasn’t related to his comfort or equipment, his call was not returned that day When he called a second time, I explained why the call wasn’t covered, and offered to take 50% off He then called back and talked to my co-worker, and said he would not pay more than $30.00, and expressed distain that he had to pay at all.We do value our customers, and do all we can as fairly as possible to assure their comfort and satisfaction If he had a computer with warranty but the issue wasn’t covered, those companies would never even perform the work without payment I feel we took the appropriate measures to respond to his issue, and then offered him a discount after the fact.We also gave him a huge special discount [$1,890.00} on the install to begin with The cost also included free parts and labor which is an additional off.I am very sorry that he is unhappy, but to date, he hasn’t paid anything, and if we operated by eating allthe costs on warranty issues that are not covered, it would be hard to stay in business We would still liketo collect at least our cost, which is approximately 45.00, but at this point we are willing to let it go and walk away

First of all, I personally called the office and confirmed there is NO charge for finding out the problem before they visited us. Otherwise, I could find some cheaper service company. Now, they are trying to bill me $for just turning on the power switch! Second, their warranty is confusing as the contract says year labor and parts in writing and now they are telling me this is not covered!I am totally disappointed in this company's response!

We are sorry to hear our customer is having problems
We installed air conditioning systems at this duplex [up & down] on 5/11/
The upstairs unit did not have a return air duct attached to it. We strongly advised that this should be done,
and the cost would be an
additional 260.00. They declined. We do have the paperwork showing the air return work
Quoted with the job.
We also made sure that it was not a state and city code requirement to have the return attached. It was not required, and we
did pull a permit, and the City of Cleveland Heights passed our installation
In addition, the systems were never cleaned or maintained, and they let the filter get dirty to the point that it was blocked. We were called out several times to find lack of maintenance to be the issue
All HVAC warranties state that annual maintenance is required, and neglecting this can void the warranty
The history is as follows:
7/23/for no AC. We found the cause was that the filter was so dirty it allowed no airflow, and the coil was also filthy. We removed the filter, and cleaned the coil
The customer stated he would replace the filter. We have no way of knowing how long he ran it without the filter
10/05/11 First maintenance ever scheduled, and it was for the furnace. We found a crack on the heat exchanger faceplate. Although no carbon monoxide was found at the time, we strongly recommend replacing the furnace and advised that he should place a carbon monoxide detector in the house
10/8/2012 No heat. Replaced thermocouple and cleaned front grill panel for better airflow for combustion. Older furnace, recommend having annual maintenance or should condsider replacing
7/15/13 No ac. Found blown capacitor, replaced and also replaced very dirty throw away filter.
6/30/14 No ac due to dirty coil, filter and bad capacitor. Replaced capacitor, cleaned condenser [very dirty],
10/17/14 No heat. Re-lit pilot. Cycled. Ok at this time
8/19/15 No ac. FOUND UNIT CUTTING OUT ON THERMAL OVERLOAD, EXTREMELY HIGH PRESSURES HIGH, LOW, CLEANED CONDENSER COIL, & EXAMINED EVAPORATOR COIL.
BOTH OK SUGGESTING A RESTRICTION IN SYSTEM, WILL NEED TO PUMP DOWN UNIT, EXAMINE PISTON, PUMP NITROGEN THROUGH, PULL VACUUM, & RECHARGE UNIT, IF RESTRICTION IS FOUND IN CAPILLARY TUBES, WILL NEED TO REPLACE EQUIPMENT REPAIR 3-HOURS, $360-TOTH
9/4/15 No ac. It has been struggling per no return air upstairs trying to cool sq ft., Now is going off on high head press every once in a while. Due to complete lack of maintenance, and no return hooked up, has put stress on AC
The person who sent in this complaint was not the person we dealt with initially. We can strongly advise a customer, but since they declined hooking up the return air ducts, we feel that they knew what to expect back when they hired us.
He also said that he since has had another company out who said that when we replaced the compressor, fragments of metal could be causing issues with the unit
We never replaced a compressor, and we never solder when installing ac, we always braze. The other company also stated the problem with the return air, but we tried to go that route initially, and they declined
In his complaint, he mentioned that now he needs a new furnace because of this. This is not true. The only thing affected on the furnace is the blower motor, which can be replaced, and as you can see in the service history, his furnace is + years old, and not in the best of shape anyway
On our last visit out, the tech suggested replacing the ac, and offered to do the ductwork for 200.00. The cost for this present day is much higher, and when done without doing along with an install costs approximately
We feel we did advise correctly before installing, and the complete lack of maintenance equally contributed to decreasing the life of their ac unit

[redacted] had a repair done to her 2004 Jaguar S-Type in late April. The water valve and air condition control module were replaced at a charge of $1400.00. The repair was a quality repair and the air condition operated for approximately a month when the air condition compressor failed. The cost...

to replace the compressor is $1200.00. Although there is no correlation between the April repair and the June air condition failure it has been impossible for Ms. [redacted] to accept this fact even considering the age of the vehicle. Because of the unfortunate timing of the failed unrelated air condition component Jaguar Louisville has agreed to replace the compressor at no charge to Ms. [redacted]. This gesture does not alter the fact that both repairs are unrelated and Jaguar Louisville’s first repair was an effective repair.

Response taken on 6/18/2015 at 11:15AM via phone by Revdex.com staff (**) [redacted] advised the consumer called the company on 6/17/2015 and paid the charges. She stated he was priority when he called and the breaker was not defective and not therefore not covered under warranty.
