Massie Bros. Concrete Contractors

My mother-in-law's driveway in Cheney needed replacement. The driveway was severely cracked due poor preparation by the contractor that built the house ten years earlier. I contacted several contractors listed on the Revdex.com for a bid. Massie Brothers provided a professional written bid spelling out exactly the work to be performed. They e-mailed me the bid and when I selected them I was provided with a start date. They said they would be at the job site at 8 AM and they were working at 8 AM.
My selection was based on several factors. 1) They used a large rock concrete mix rather than a small gravel fiber mix. 2) They used 1/2” rebar on 24” centers and hammer drilled into the existing garage slab and side walkway and inserted the ends of the rebar into the slabs. Other contractors either wanted to rely just on fiber concrete or wire mesh. 3) They removed several inches of dirt below the proposed slab and laid a base of gravel. 4) They used a compaction machine to compact the base. They came prepared with all the necessary “big boy” tools to perform the job. I observed them performing the work and the two brothers worked like robots and it was easy to see that they enjoyed each others company. The completed slab was a piece of artwork. They roped it off with caution tape and cleaned the area at the end of each workday. I learned from the brothers that they had been trained by their dad and uncle who were the original Massie Brothers. I highly recommend this business for quality work at a reasonable price.
