As I have explained a few times on the phone on the recorded line to [redacted] the car being in her name still at the time of tow and when we ran the license plates it came back registered to her stillhaving something saying is was sold with no new buyer info on file does not full fill the legal requirements needed in order to find the "new" ownerthis situation would be the same as if the car received a parking ticket if the buyer of this car that [redacted] had did not register it and no information is on file then it is worthlessthe paper work [redacted] provided has no new buyer info on file so its worthless and since it is still registered to her she is still the legal and registered owner of the carthis is not the answer she wants but that's what it isI hope this answers any further questions on this matter sincerely josh m***

We have been in business for over years when we are called to do a job we do it If he was being truthful Iam sure he would have given you a ticket number so we could look this up and a license plate # and vin then I will be able to explain any and all charges until I get more information I can't say anymore until I am able to look over the ticket

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:Sincerely,*** ***
Thank you for looking into this mater, however I would like to set some things straightAs the facts that the towing company are listing are not based on facts.Yes I was pulled over and I am not disputing that fact, however regardless I should not be charged more based on the towing companies’ assumption of my guilt. When I was pulled over I did not throw my keys back in the car when I got out I accidently shut the door my car was still running and the door shut locking my keys in the carThe police did not have my car impounded, but as I could not get back in the car and it was not parked correctly the police called a tow companyI don't know why they would choose an office in North Bend as this happened in Coos Bay why wouldn't they choose the office closest to my location, which was not over miles, unless everyone is trying to rack up the charges. As for the difficulty of towing the car one of the services that that towing company offers is getting into lock vehicles a service, which they tried to charge me the next day for an additional If moving the car while it was locked and still running why didn't they ask me if they could just unlock it I could have moved the car to a single parking space or they not have
unlocked it and turn it off, then there would have been no need for the towIt seems to me like they purposefully chose to do whatever they could to charge me a higher amount.I do not understand how the towing company can charge me such a high fee without notificationMaybe there was some confusion regarding the supposed impound by the towing company, but the police did not have a hold on my car they even called the police the next day to verify that information prior to releasing my car to me.I think that the towing company made a lot of assumptions and because the police were involved they felt they could charge me a higher amount and I would not question it, however that is not the caseI even tried to validate the prices on the website but they do not have anything listed that I could compare to so it seems very shadyI was not at the police station to view their listing of charges. What I did find online was the following information: Conditions requiring release of vehicle; tower responsibility of disclosure to owner or operator of vehicle(1) If the owner or operator of the motor vehicle is present at the time of the tow, the tower shall release the motor vehicle at no charge unless the hookup is completeIf the hookup is complete, the tower shall release the motor vehicle and may charge the owner or operator of the motor vehicle a fee that does not exceed the charge to hook up for that type of tow as listed in a written statement described in subsection (2)(a) of this section. (2) A tower shall disclose to the owner or operator of a motor vehicle in a conspicuous written statement of at least 10-point boldfaced type: (a) The prices the tower charges for goods and services; I was not made aware that I would be charged over for my tow

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meSincerely, *** ***

The bill was This tow was a police impound incident to arrest and attempt to elude and we were ordered at the direction of the coos county sheriffs office to remove and secure itThe tow occurred at 12:30am in the morning and it was miles from our officewhen we arrived on
scene the sheriff told the tow truck driver that the owner had tossed the keys inside the car and locked up he had the lights on and at the time we arrivedThe sheriff said the driver of the car was not being cooperative
not having the keys made the loading and unloading of the car more difficult. the charges for the police arrest tow were, The impound feethe base rate of the truck the charges for additional time loading and unloading the mileage charges and the dispatch fee are all in line and posted with the sheriffs officeHad it been a normal tow during business hours and the owner cooperated the charges would have been much lessSo yes the car was locked up and the battery was dead but that was the owners faulthe caused the additional costs

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:After consulting [redacted] and body and fender agencies, they have expressed disbelief at such an excessive amount of charges. I showed them Mast's bill and a picture of my pickup where it sat after the accident in a shallow depression approx. 10 to 15 feet off the pavement. $90.00 for Two days for 20 hrs. of storage, extra man @ $74.00 per hr., sunday, $65.00, OSP,$65.00,clean up,$125.00, release fee, $65.00, 3% fee because I paid over the phone by debit card$44.91,64 mile round trip, $160.00 and an unknown fee of $125.00 for a total of $1541.91. The people I talked to felt that $400.00 would have seemed appropriate. Sincerely,[redacted]

when we last spoke on the phone you mentioned that you would be providing us with the buyers info, since none was listed through dmv. per ors statues we have to notify last legal and registered owner. since this was not done you said you would give me the information you knew of the person that...

purchased it from you but deleted them from facebook and suggested I search that I can not do that but you could research and provide that info to me. now that the responsibility is put back on you which it should be you are turning this into th Revdex.com? if you look on any registration on the back, it clearly states that until new ownership is recorded it will not be reflected at dmv.

We have been in business for over 50 years when we are called to do a job we do it . If he was being truthful Iam sure he would have given you a ticket number so we could look this up and a license plate # and vin then I will be able to explain any and all charges until I get more information I...

can't say anymore until I am able to look over the ticket

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: I have no way to give Mr. M[redacted] a title to the car as it is sold.  I have no information on the buyer. As I have explained a few times on the phone on the recorded line to [redacted] the car being in her name still at the time of tow and when we ran the license plates it came back registered to her still. having  something saying is was sold with no new buyer info on file does not full fill the legal requirements needed in order to find the "new" owner. this situation would be the same as if the car received a parking ticket if the buyer of this car that [redacted] had did not register it and no information is on file then it is worthless. the paper work [redacted] provided has no new buyer info on file so its worthless and since it is still registered to her she is still the legal and registered owner of the car. this is not the answer she wants but that's what it is. I hope this answers any further questions on this matter

This is a repeat of the first letter Mr. [redacted] will not be satisfied until he receives money back, and that is not something is going to happen.  He states he rejects my response, I don't know what he means by that. I am not offering a compromise and stand behind the charges. I am sorry if he does not agree with them.  These charges  for his and the other vehicles involved were charged are usual and customary, and these rates are listed and updated with the police agencies every year. Mr. [redacted] asking body and fender men or [redacted] personnel  their opinions on something that they themselves do not specialize is foolish on both their parts.  It has nothing to do with the costs. I feel that Mr. [redacted] is only upset because he had to pay for the costs himself and no one else. If Mr. [redacted] had taken the difference in the money he saved every month in his insurance premiums and set that aside for instances like this he would not had this unexpected expense. Every time I have to pay out of pocket medical expenses I feel its to much it doesn't change the bill though. I still have to pay it.  They offer options to reduce that bill just like we did. He made a decision to not pursue the options we offered. I see no point in debating this indifference back and forth by email from the customer. Mr. [redacted] nor anyone else knows what our expenses and costs are to keep current with all requirements and training  insurance, equipment, maintenance,  wages, overhead, and  we are entitled to a profit. The reasons Mr. [redacted] states because of what someone else feels is fair or reasonable does not justify his demands. ThanksJ M[redacted]
