Mastec was contracted by ATT to install fiber optic lines in my community. While Mastec was performing work they damaged my driveway.
In March of 2018 I was notifed by AT&T and my homeowner's association (HOA) that AT&T contracted Mastec to bore lines under the property for fiber optic lines. The work was completed while my family was out of town. When we arrived back home we noticed a large hump that ran across our brand new paver driveway. Both AT&T and my HOA advised if there were any issues to contact the resolution center at XXX-XXX-XXXX or via email at ***@MASTEC.COM and the reference number was 7EAXXXXXN.

On 4/2 I contacted the Resolution Center and left a message and sent an email. I was contacted via email and provided ticket # XXXXX and told a supervisor would contact me. I followed up on 4/6 "Jennifer" at the resolution center and advised I received a quote from the company that installed my driveway and the total was $2,000.00. I followed up again on the 12th via phone and email. On the 4/13 I received an email from Jennifer advising "management" has been notified and I will be contacted. On 4/18 I sent another email and left a message, but no contact was received. I sent another email on 4/20 and advised that it had been nearly 3 weeks and nobody had contacted me. I futher advised that if I did not hear anything soon that I was going to contact Mastec directly or take legal action. I was then contacted by an employee from Mastec and he came to my house on 4/20. The employee said that he would have his paver company come and give me a quote. I agreed to this, but nobody ever came. I followed up a couple weeks later with a phone call, but nobody returned my call.

Given the lack of attention, and possible violation from the City and my HOA, in mid November I contacted the company that installed my driveway and requested them start the repairs. I paid 50% down ($1,000.00) and once the repairs were completed I paid the remaining balance, which was $1,000.00.

On 11/26 I contacted the Resolution Center again via email and provided proof of payment. On 11/28 I received an email from Stefani Molina Jimenez at the Resolution center advised that my claim would take approximately 30-45 business days to settle and that an adjuster would contact me. I requested more details and Stefani responded via email stating "I want to extend my sincerest apologies for the negative experience that you had with us and appreciate your patience at this time. I can not provide an specific time but, as soon i'll send your claim to be process i'll let you know."

I followed up on 12/3/18 via email to Stefani and advised that nobody contacted me. I followed up via email again on 12/4/18, 12/6/18, 12/11/18, and 12/13/18. On 12/13/18 Stefani responded via email and apologized for the delay and that an insurance adjuster will be contacting me. On 12/18/18 I sent another email advising still no contact. Finally on 12/21/18 I explained that this has been a complete nightmare to deal with and I was not getting any cooperation from her company. I said that all I was looking for was to recoup my expenses from MasTec's negligence.

Stefani responded on 12/24 and stated the following: "I am very embarressed with you. I have reported all requests for updates to the supervisor asking him to contact to you and it is very annoying that they do not communication with you yet. I really sorry you are going through this unpleasant and unacceptable situation. I understand that you obviously want your money backbecause you need it cover your expenses. If it depended on me I would have helped you to resolve this uncomfortable situation. Once again, I conveyed your request and I really hope this is resolved as soon as possible."

On 12/26/18 I was contact via phone from "Kevin" at XXX-XXX-XXXX. Kevin requested to come and inspect the damages. I informed Kevin the repairs were made, but he was welcome to come and inspect. I followed up with Kevin on 1/3 and at that time he said he would offer $500.00. Nothing further was offered.

Desired Outcome

I have spoke with my neighbors about the situation and they all had damage and was not getting any cooperation from MasTec. I am asking that the Revdex.com investigate this and assist me with recovering my expenses from MasTec's negligence. I have proof of payment for my driveway that was installed in January of 2017, estimate for repair April 2018 and proof of payment.

$4,000 damage to my property
After several backups in my house I called Pro Plumber to fix on June 22, 2018. They found AT&T fiber optic cable going through one side of my main drain line and out the other side. The cost of digging up the drain line and replacing it was $4000.
I spoke to At&T resolution and sent them pictures and videos. After they investigated it they admitted it was their cable but the job was done by Mastec and Mastec is responsible for the damages.
I reached out to Mastec July 5, 2018 and they responded they would handle it. I followed up with them every month with emails since then but the have stopped responding to me.

Desired Outcome

I would like my $4,000 that costed me to fix this issue.

Regarding the above case, we regret that it took a little longer than anticipated to complete the investigation, but it has been completed and we have been in touch with the claimant. We are in the process of settling the claim at this time. We truly regret any undue stress this may have caused the claimant.

Refused to respond to claim after causing damage on my property
On 7/12/2018 MasTec were sent to my property to bury AT&T fiber optics lines. In the process they caused damage to my irrigation. I discovered it a couple of days later and filed claim with AT&T who routed me to their Claims processor Sedgwick. Sierra Gaise from Segwick spoke with me on the phone relative to my claim XXXXXXXXXX-XX on 7/16/18 and offered me a settlement of $150 which she also communicated in writing - I have a copy of that email from her. She advised me I had a couple of weeks to respond whether I accept it or, if I thought the damage was valued for more, have an estimate provided by a contractor. I responded within a couple of days that I accept the settlement.
Following my response, I started getting calls from the supervisor at the MasTec telling me he won't pay the claim. I explained that the settlement was offered by Sedgwick. In further communication with the Sedgwick agent Sierra Gause and the MasTec agent Michelle Hernandez, I was told that they are investigating and I will get a response in 30-60 days. I was never contacted again by either, so I am filing this claim again both of them and AT&T. I was offered a settlement in writing which was then not honored and my emails are being ignored

I would like to receive a check for the $150 settlement that I was offered for the damage done to my irrigation system by MasTec

We just moved into our new home at the beginning of June. On June 13, 2018, we met with Mr. ***, a salesman with Mastec Advanced Technologies, an authorized dealer with ADT. We signed a contract for getting a security system in the house. A service tech by the name of *** came out that Friday to install the system. He spent 4-6 hours trying to get the system up and running. He installed all of the equipment, but was not able to maintain connection between the system and the monitoring company. At that time he uninstalled all of the equipment. I received a phone call from *** a few days later saying that he had another system panel he would like to try and install for us. I agreed to let him give it a try. He came back and it was another 4-6 hours of installing and testing, and he had the same issues as the first panel and again had to uninstall all of the equipment. I then asked him what I needed to do in order to ensure I received a refund of my initial deposit. *** said he would get with *** and get it taken care of.After a week I reached out to *** to see what I needed to do to get my refund. He then stated that he had spoken with his tech department and came up with another potential solution, and asked for another chance to install a system, and stated that for my patience I would also receive a $*** Visa gift card. I agreed and we set scheduled the appointment for Friday, June 29th in the morning. Then I get a message from *** the Thursday prior stating he meant to schedule the appt for Friday afternoon. Friday comes and 30 mins before they were supposed to show up I get a call from *** stating that the part hadn't come in yet and they needed to reschedule for Tuesday July 3rd. I agreed.Tuesday comes and a new technician comes and spends another 4-6 hours installing and testing the system. He was successfully able to get the system set up. I am still waiting for the gift card 2 months later and now they just give me the run around or completely ignore me.Order_Number: XXXXXXXXXX

The panel we now have isn't even the panel that we were supposed to get with our contract. We have an old fashion punch key panel instead of the touchscreen/smart panel our contract was for. On September 18th, Mr. contacted the customer to ensure the gift card was processed properly.

No further action is/was required.

The lousy company put a giant ripple in my paver driveway and still have not sent anybody to repair it and it was just sealed and pressure cleaned.
Company is working on a project for ATT and farming it to un-experienced and non speaking English cheap labor. Called several office and made them aware of the damage and got the impression they could care less. No one has came or called in over a week.

Desired Outcome

FOr the drive way to be repaired like brand new before you destroyed it and then walked away like nothing happened.
