I was extremely happy with Master attic LLC, beginning with the sales rep Nick who explained everything to me in detail. The crew headed by Noah worked efficiently and neatly. They removed all the old sprayed insulation and replaced it with new batt insulation. Very pleased with Master attic LLC

I responded to an advertisement in a mailer for a $65 Basic Attic Clean-Up - a $249 Value. I hope this is the same company because the mailer had a different contact phone number, but I didn't locate another Master Attic in NJ. After waiting several weeks for the appointment, they first tried to up sell me by saying to properly clean the attic, they would need to lift and replace insulation and would I like an estimate. I said no, I would just like them to do the basic cleaning - the $249 Value for $65. They said they couldn't clean droppings off of the insulation, only the wood surfaces. I said fine, I had basically been forewarned by the company coming to do the animal proofing of what to expect, so I was truly only expecting a "basic cleanup", something quick that would get 80% of the droppings. My guess is that when they realized they wouldn't get more business, they were not interested in the work because they just continued to tell me that they cleaning wouldn't be complete, they don't have the right equipment, it usually takes a team of 2-3 people, but if I wanted them to go ahead they would. Even with my low expectations, they just continued to make me question the value of even spending the $65. The man on site called the home office, but wouldn't give me the name of the supervisor so I could call and speak to him. I told the on-site person to leave. Later I called the home office and spoke with the supervisor. Essentially I was ready to have them come back and do the job, but even then the manager kept saying things that kept lowering expectations that would do what was advertised - a $249 value for $65. I eventually just hung up. Why advertise a $249 Value for $65 and then continue to explain to the customer that the customer won't be satisfied and the job is not going to leave the happy? Even with my low expectations, by them continuing to qualify the output and what my expectations would be, I eventually decided it wasn't worth dealing with this company.

Firstly, we would like to apologize for any frustration and inconvenience this situation may have caused you. On the other hand, we would like to explain what exactly a “basic clean up” would benefit before we discuss your issue further. A “basic attic clean up” in which we are offering is for one who would have small rodent feces on attic floor boards....vacuum whith a shop vacc. However, in your home the case was different and doing a “basic clean up” would not help your current situation. We have images in which we had showed you in order to explain why we cannot do a “basic clean up." Your attic (If we were able to upload the images we would.) Your attic had a major infestation of bat feces on top and within the insulation that cannot be cleaned nor fixed with just a basic attic clean up. This requires heavy duty vacuum machinery and a crew of guys to cleanout your attic. As well we did not charge you anything to come down and do a free consultation, nor any obligation. Please note, we strive for excellence in customer service and satisfaction. Our duty as a professional company that specializes in this specific problem, is to advise you of the necessary action, and best way to take care of this problem in your home. If you decide not to go ahead with our service, that's fine. We did offer you to have us come back and do a basic cleanup and an do our best to do a basic vacuum attic cleanup to the best of our ability, and that offer is still on the table for you.
Again we apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused, an we hope this response can help you understand better where we were coming from.

Dear Business Owner: Thank you for your reply here. After our interaction, I called your competitor that also advertised a basic clean up special in the same *** mailer in which I found your offer. They came out and did the basic clean up with no objections for a similar price that you offered. I was very happy with their service and what they did and it is the same that I was asking of you when I engaged in conversation except their was no hassle.

I had an excellent experience. We had a rodent problem in our unfinished basement which we believe had to do with an abandoned house next door.
Anthony arrived promptly to diagnose the problem and had a recommended solution.
Noah (foreman) and his team were excellent. They removed all sheet rock, vacuumed and bleached the entire basement. Once that was finished, they meticulously went through every crevice of the basement, including the outside perimeter checking for every entry and exit point. They used foam, steel wool, and metal screening. To my amazement, I no longer have any rodents issues or the stress that came with it.
I was so thrilled with the results, I had Noah and his team come back to clean out my attic, remove insulation, install new insulation, and full rodent proofing.
I would highly recommend Master Attic. They should not be confused with a pest control company. Master Attic gets to the root cause of the problem, while pest control companies generally do not address the root cause.

We bought a house with a prior squirrel infestation issue and needed our attic completely cleaned out and new insulation put down. Master Attic had the best price out of several companies that I had come out, and they were the only company to find a large hole in a difficult-to-see area between my lower roof and wall that the squirrels were probably getting into (thank you, Robert for doing a thorough inspection!)
They did a good job removing/replacing the old insulation, but there were a few places that they were unable to clean out/ re-insulate due to the presence of some HVAC equipment and not being able to remove flooring that was surrounding supporting beams. Wish that there was something they could have come up with for cleaning out those areas. Had one minor issue-- they damaged the wall on the bedroom level of the house when removing the attic flooring--a piece must have slid down the stairs and banged into the wall. When I pointed this out, they were quick to offer a repair and even offered to go out and buy the correct color paint to repaint the area. They left the house very clean and spent a great deal of time cleaning up after themselves.
We have not had any new squirrel activity since the job was done, so the rodent proofing seems to have been done well.
Overall, I would recommend this company.

I called Master Attic to have the attic of the house I just bought redone and they did a spectacular job. Anthony came out on a Sunday to give us a quote and after we paid the deposit he had his crew there in 2 days to do the work. Noa, David, Raphael, and Wilmer ensured that the attic was spotless and sanitized before putting down new insulation.
Not only was my attic spotless, but there wasn't a single trace of any old insulation left behind in my house or yard. Highly recommend using Master Attic!
