We entered into an agreement with *** *** on April 4th She hired a public adjuster to represent her against her insurance company so I was left out of the negotiation processThis caused some major problems because their estimated damages were $58,This turns out to be way short
of the damages to the home from a fireMy estimate came to $98,which is nearly $40k higher that the two adjustersThe adjuster for *** Insurance and Adjusters International then agreed to re-estimate the loss using my estimate while I was thereThey went through my estimate line item by line item room by room but did not share any possible issues with my original estimateThey then came back with a new estimate of $84,as a new agreed priceThis was still short by nearly $14,on work that was already being done*** chose to upgrade a kitchen and bathroom which cost a significant amount of moneyThis was her decisionBecause she was way over budget, we began eliminating things such as trims and flooring to try to bring this loss back in budget*** didn't like, she wanted everything put back the way it wasShe was informed on many occasions by me that she didn't have the money for that and I was already looking at a nearly $20k to my companyThe final incident was caused by *** and her son ***I agreed to them on September 17th to go over pages of punch list itemsI met with them and got verbally attacked by *** *** and her sisterAt that point I told them I was leaving and that I would be referring this to my attorneyAs I was leaving her son *** stopped me on the front lawn to try to work out an agreementIt was decided that if we finished the pages of punch list items that he assured me his mother would pay me all the hold back money due from *** InsuranceI reluctantly agreed and my guys finished the items she wanted doneOnce she received the check, she refused to pay her billThe total due to my company is close to $28,This does not include the nearly $20k we already lost due to her incompetence with dealing with her adjustersI would not return her contents until the bill was paidShe reported me to the State Attorney Generals Office which I had a chance to replyI still haven't heard from the AG Office and that was nearly weeks agoWe are a small company and this loss has put us out of businessOn December 15th 2015, Master Care was forced to close its doors primarily due to *** ***That's nearly $48,hit that took us downBoth *** and her son *** have not told the truth on more than one occasionWe are filing chapter bankruptcy primarily because of *** ***It is up to the bankruptcy trustee to determine the fate of her contentsI am out of itThis home had many issues that were not fire relatedOut of the goodness of my heart, we took care of most of those issues and look where it got meThis woman has cost me my companyShame on herAs the Revdex.com can tell, we've always been in good standingThis bad customer has done the unthinkable Thanks, Bryan Colton

After years in business, Master Care Restoration Company closed its businessThis is due to customers in the Buffalo market not paying their billsThere is over $150,owed to Master CareMr*** will be make whole by the bankruptcy court and its Trustee once our receivables are collected

Per Bryan Colton, he officially went out of business in December 2015 and consumer will have to deal with the Bankruptcy Trustee.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  Mr. C[redacted] does not address the fact that my funds were not held in an escrow account as required by law.  Also, in his response to the NYS Attorney General, he misstates the amount owed to me, and the value of the work performed to date.
