June 16, 2016Revdex.com [redacted] ***RE: [redacted] ***ID# [redacted] Dear Ms [redacted] :This letter is in response to your letter dated June 9, regarding above mentioned consumer complaint that was filed against us by Mr***.The weather in February was a factor in the length of time for the job, Keith K [redacted] Construction was only contracted to build one wall for Mr***After dealing with [redacted] Township and our engineering firm, they requested that a second tier be placed below the top of the wall for added upper wall strengthThis was decided because they did not want one wall to be too high and unstable.Naturally, to add a second wall that was twice the size of the upper wall, additional costs were going to be incurredThe additional wall is three times the size of the upper wallMr [redacted] wanted this done for the original wall priceActual job price should have been $23,Original contract price was $12,and so far we have only been paid $11,He advised he had no more money to give us, but yet they had a very large tree removed. We will go back out for the cost of $4,200.With regards to the driveway, the three concrete pads were split in half due to the faulty wallWe jacked up the pads in order to repair themWe also attached a split wall fence on the top wallAll of Mr***'s storm drains are connectedHis old ones were bad.In conclusion, there was no mention of two walls in the original contractThe job changedNothing about a fence on top and no mention of machinery time to fill in his two ponds with dirt up in the backSo you see, the contract changedThere were many extrasWhen trying to reason with Mr***, his ' voice overpowered you because he was still trying to squeeze us for the original pricePeople say go ahead and do it for the extras, sometimes they pay and sometimes they don'tIt is not always the contractors fault.Keith K [redacted] Construction has been in business since We are reputable, insured and PA licensedWe also pay our crew, I have no idea where Mr [redacted] came up with ThatOur crew will not work for free and neither will we.Sincerely,Keith K [redacted] , Project Manager
