Multiple mechanics could all be biased by you, we stand firm on what happened to your car AFTER it left our shop, we also have multiple mechanics here who are the best in the business, working on Corvettes for over years with the highest honors from across the countryThe problems your car had when first brought to us were fixed and left the shop running like a clock, and we never worked on the carburetor, you are wrong there alsoPlease understand if the problem was related to an item we fixed we would have been happy to correct it, but the case you’re making is between you and whoever drove the car after it left us, it takes a split second to over rev an engine and cause a bent valve, over revving is the most common cause for that problemWe do have documented proof that we did nothing to create a bent valveSo, by responding with more negative comments will not change anything

When *** *** brought his Corvette to Corvette Repair, Incthe problems were no horn, the heater and hard startingWe first trouble shooted the horn problem which was bigger than first thought, and there were many other problems including broken and incorrect parts which *** *** tried to
fix himself. With all new customers we automatically place it on a lift for a “safety examination” and do a thorough inspectionWe have been in business for over years specializing in antique and classic Corvettes, with many being neglected for years, we always make sure it’s safe and reliable for the roadIf there’s anything that’s worn, damaged, not working or leaking we inform the owner about our findings good or bad at no chargeThat has been our motto since day oneWe made note of our findings and contacted *** *** *** gave us a “verbal approval” to do only certain items that needed to be repaired or replaced to keep it within his budgetWe kept him informed of the progress on a regular basisOnce the car repairs were completed the technician, service manager and owner double checked the repairs and road tested the vehicle to everyone’s satisfaction, the car ran perfectlyAfter the Car was cleaned and detailed I called *** *** went over the invoice and gave him the total amount due, he let us know that his son will be picking up the carWhen his son Michael came to pick up the car I personally went over the old parts that were replaced, he told me that they have no use for them, left the premises and drove offWe kept his old parts for any future questionsWe received a call from *** *** and told my service manager the car ran great on the way home and for some unknown reason it is now running roughWe informed him to bring the car back so we can look into it We did notice instantly an engine miss and running on cylinders we also found a crack spark plug in #cylinder, did a compression test in all cylinders and noticed no compression in #cylinder, further diagnostic with a bora score we found a bent exhaust valve in the cylinder head and also noticed the valve hit the top of the pistonWe contacted *** *** and told him what we foundI can understand why he would be upset but the car ran perfectly when it was in our care, and after it left with the son driving away, we have no control once it leaves our shopSomeone “over revved” the engine and bent the valve which is the most common cause, there also could be a very good chance the timing chain is also wornThere is nothing we did that caused what happened and cannot take responsibility for someone else’s actions, on how they wish to drive the car after it has left our facility

[While they did the work they claimed they also worked on the vehicle carburetor. During this or some other process performed by Corvette repair they dropped (accidentally or on purpose) some foreign object into the carburetor or some other entry point causing the valve to become bent shortly after the car left their shop. I have consulted several other mechanics as well as the auto repair shop that repaired the damage caused by Corvette Repair and all confirm the damage could not have been caused by over-reving the engine as Corvette Repairs states They are at fault and should be made to reimburse me $1050, the cost of the additional repair work needed to replace the bent valve caused by Corvette Repair. Receipt for that work can be provided upon request
