Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Master Lift did come to adjust my pier etc under my house 4-times but each time there were problems One crew would jack it up creating humps in a couple of rooms Then another crew would come back down to re-adjust and still not get the problems corrected The 3rd adjustment made a 2" rise between the kitchen and front room I pointed this out to the forman and was told I needed to knock out my foundation wall so the floor could settle After further inspection I was told by two foundation companies that the floor had been over adjusted in several places causing the humping between the rooms [redacted] from Master Lift never said they would have to do any other work and nothing was stated on my job contract I did verbably ask if they were going to actually be able to level the main problem in the kitchen (refrigerator leveling) and would they need to remove some rows of decking to get to the foundation footing (as bid by another company.) [redacted] said he could make the adjustments without removing the deckingI had orignally told [redacted] I was going with the other bid when he asked what the bid was then offered to do this job for the same price. The other adjusters said ther was not a moisture issue and that was not the problem [redacted] knew this and is now stating falsely that he advised there would be more work entailed and that was not stated on my contract So after consideration on the lack of correct adjustment I will no longer have Master Lift working at my house and would appreciate some monetary reimbursement for lack of the correct adjust, aggrevation and stress, after all I lost a sale on my home due to their overcorrection and making humps in my wood flooring which the buyer stated she didn't want the house because of the floor Sincerely, [redacted]

Mrs***,We appreciate your feedback and will continue to help with the issues you've experienced. We have honored our agreement with you and shown up when we said we would be there to make the necessary adjustments. Unfortunately there are some components of your home that limit
our ability to achieve perfection. You do have moisture issues which are causing the foundation wall beneath your home to heave. This is an upward movement of that foundation wall due to the swelling of the clay soils beneath that foundation wall. This foundation wall is beneath the home so it's nearly impossible to control the upward movement of this wall. The only option that will help over time with this situation is to install a drainage system around the perimeter of the home. We have mentioned this service to you and explained the benefits to you on more than one occasion and you have stated you did not have any drainage issues. We have discovered water and damp ground conditions beneath your home on more than one occasion so drainage is indeed an issueIn closing, we are willing to continue to honor our end of the agreement and have done so to date. If additional work is deemed necessary then it is for a reason and at this point you need to have us install a proper drainage system to control the water intrusion and moisture around the perimeter of the home to achieve the best results. Please understand that foundation problems occur over time and don't just suddenly appear so in some cases achieving optimal results can take some time. You are welcome to contact me direct anytime at ***.Sincerely,*** ***President Master Lift Foundation Repair

Mrs***,Our office has reached out to you multiple times with no response. We have come back each time you requested our return and we have very clearly explained the issues you're having and that more work is required. We did not pier your entire house and when partial structural stabilization is in place you do indeed have other areas of the home that may deflect more than the areas that have been stabilized. Telling us you have no money and it's our problem doesn't make us wrong, and we have gone above and beyond to help you with this situation. We have also discovered you have used multiple contractors for repairs on your home and that is against the terms of your warranty. We are still available even though your warranty terms have technically been violated and our number is *** in case you've misplaced it, but know that as we have stated on more than one occasion. Your entire home has received piers from Master Lift and in order to achieve the desired results you will need to install additional piers to stabilize the entire structure. I believe we had this conversation in the very beginning of this process and you chose to start with phase one due to budget and funding, knowing a phase two and three may arise in the future

I am rejecting this response because: Master Lift did come to adjust my pier etc under my house 4-5 times but each time there were problems.  One crew would jack it up creating humps in a couple of rooms.  Then another crew would come back down to re-adjust and still not get the problems corrected  The 3rd adjustment made a 2" rise between the kitchen and front room.  I pointed this out to the forman and was told I needed to knock out my foundation wall so the floor could settle.  After further inspection I was told by two foundation companies that the floor had been over adjusted in several places causing the humping between the rooms.  [redacted] from Master Lift never said they would have to do any other work and nothing was stated on my job contract.  I did verbably ask if they were going to actually be able to level the main problem in the kitchen (refrigerator leveling) and would they need to remove some rows of decking to get to the foundation footing (as bid by another company.)
