Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: They do not have stated they would have it done many timesTheir unprofessional conduct and failure to fufill their promises have been allowed to go on for too longWe are having a third party do an audit of what has been done and what if any funds need to be redistributed.

In response to [redacted] complaint, his conclusions are due to a brief snapshot of what he saw in our shop when he came here and physically confronted one of the owners and his son. The vehicle has been here for approximately the time he indicated, but that is where his knowledge ends. The...

vehicle was first brought to us by his son, [redacted] about 2 years ago.  At that time we performed the work required and the vehicle was returned to him in good working order. About 4 months later, [redacted] returned with the vehicle after he had personally replaced the carburetor and changed the timing and other adjustments, causing the vehicle to run poorly. He then wanted to do some extensive overhaul and restoration. He wanted his original engine rebuilt with a stroker kit, air conditioning added, new upholstery and headliner, new steering column and numerous other improvements and modifications. We had his engine rebuilt and installed the stroker kit. While that was being done, we replaced or restored numerous items, including upholstery, headliner, sound deadening material, and steering column. We also began work on replacing the vehicle's entire wiring harness. He came back, and decided he wanted the stroker engine removed and replaced with a stock engine. We complied with his wishes and replaced the recently installed engine. Shortly thereafter, he decided he wanted yet another different engine installed, which we also did. In all, we have removed and installed his engine three times, having replaced intake manifolds, carburetors, cylinder heads, camshafts, etc.  We have also disassembled and reassembled these engines the same number of times. During all this, he became more and more demanding of other changes too numerous to mention individually. We have documentation of at least 75 emails he sent to us detailing these changes. Among these emails, not only did he ask for changes, they also included links to various vendors for parts. He would order many of these parts himself and have them shipped to us. Others we ordered ourselves. As work continued, he voluntarily paid us for the work performed, much as a contractor would be paid for ongoing work during construction of a new building. Every change made by [redacted] caused us to undo the work we had already done and do it again in compliance with his requested changes. We contacted his parents and his grandmother several times, but his parents told us they wanted nothing to do with the truck. They said [redacted] was 18 years of age and could so as he wished. On contacting his grandmother who has been paying for all of this, she told us that he told her that we had requested these parts. We did not. On or about May 23, [redacted]'s father, [redacted] came to shop and confronted us, claiming we had taken thousands of dollars but had done little. He physically pushed Ken W[redacted], causing him to fall backward against the wall and threatened to beat up and hospitalize his son, Nick. After he left the premises, we immediately had a police officer come to our shop and file a police report which is on file with the Casper Police Department.   Since [redacted] had divorced himself of any knowledge of what his son was doing, he had no idea how much work had been done, only to be changed by [redacted], forcing us to do it over. This all takes time  and we charge labor by time worked. We have an extensive log detailing the time spent on this vehicle which amounts to over 300 hours. Prior to the confrontation, we had decided that we could no longer work with [redacted] and his endless changes, we had him sign an agreement detailing the work to be done and specifying a completion time of mid August, 2016, to which he agreed and signed. Today, June 24, 2016, [redacted] decided he wanted his vehicle back so he and a friend could finish the work themselves. He took the vehicle and all the parts for it, thereby breaking the agreement he signed allowing us until mid August to complete the work. The police report and all documentation including emails and the signed agreement will be provided by us on request.
