Complaint ID: [redacted]

Dear Ms. [redacted]:

In response to the complaint referenced as: ID# [redacted]:

Master Mobile Mechanics has 24/7 telephone assistance. There is no reason a...

customer could not get a hold of our office at any given time, day or night.

Prior to the customer calling our office for repairs for his pickup not starting, he had another

mechanic work on his pickup. His vehicle was towed to our shop, because it would not start. We did replace some parts and got the vehicle to start & run.  We test drove the vehicle with no problems to the ignition system, but the key & tumbler was worn out. The customer picked up the vehicle. The problem of not starting was resolved.

After  the  customer picked up his vehicle he himself made electrical repairs to  the  vehicle unrelated to the repairs or problems that we corrected.  The customer called our office twice about how to  replace the key and tumbler  ignition. Then the customer took his vehicle to another mechanic shop because it would not start after trying to repair his vehicle himself.

Our staff talked to the customer several times about his repairs and bill.  He even called at one point (12-06-2013) and said, "Thank you for all your help, you have great customer service." When he started disputing his bill we offered to  return the cost of the last facilities repairs ($230.00), as a gesture of good customer relations but at no fault of ours (even though other electrical repair  work  was done  by  the  customer  after  we  repaired  the  starting  issues). However, the customer declined the $230.00 and requested $1,000.00. We did not and do not accept the customer's $1,000.00 dispute.

Now the customer's statement with the Revdex.com is described very different from the events that took place. The customer states in your complaint that he wants to return some parts to our company for a reimbursement, as well as a refund check of $1,731.00.

Our original offer still stands at reimbursing the last facilities repair bill of $230.00.   However, we offered this in good faith and attempt for long standing customer relations.

Thank you,

To help resolve this situation, He can bring by the parts and I will reimburse him for any new parts he has and the labor that we charged him to install the parts.  That is the best I can do.

Thank you,

[redacted], Vice President

Master Mobile Mechanics

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint yet, as I do not know specifically what the business is offering per invoice #[redacted].  The offer sounds reasonable and agreeable but, I need specific amounts listed and itemized from your invoice #[redacted] before I can agree to terms. It appears you are offering the 2 hours Labor for diagnostic of $120.00, 9 hours Labor for isolator replacement and removal and replacement of fuse panel for $540.00,  1 fuse block $224.44, 1 ignition Relay(isolator) $67.42, and the bus bar harness assembly kit $240.94.  These are all items on invoice #[redacted].  The total you are offering if parts mentioned above are returned is $1192.80.  Is this correct? If this is the case I will be happy to settle with you.  If this is not what you are offering, please specifically list what you are offering in your next response.  Thank you for diligently working to resolve this matter.

Regards,

The diagnostics had to be done when the vehicle arrived at shop. (No reimbursement)

Items reimbursed to customer as long as parts are in new condition:

- 9 hours labor $540.00

-Fuse Block$224.44

-Ignition Relay$67.42

- Bus Bar Harness$240.94

-Total to Customer$1,072.80Master Mobile Mechanics has reached out to resolve this complaint with the customer, but have reached our limit.  We are willing to reimburse a total of $1,072.80.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint

ID [redacted], and have determined that the proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  Master Mobile Mechanics has not addressed the initial issue of the complaint.  To make things as simple as I can I will outline what the issue is once again.

1.  Originally my truck would not start at a mobile location.  Master Mobile Mechanics was called to repair it and could not.  Initial diagnosis was “will not start” and my truck was towed to Master Mobile Mechanics shop.  See invoice [redacted] with Authorization #[redacted].  I was charged $379.94 for this

portion of the repair.

2.  Master Mobile Mechanics official diagnosis was “unit would not start…found 40 amp ignition fuse blown” per invoice # [redacted]. A myriad of parts were replaced.  See also invoice # [redacted].  I was

charged a total of $1750.37 for this portion of the repair.  My original parts were given to me.

3.  I took custody of the vehicle and the truck ceased running again.  Another mechanic was called, [redacted]’s Automotive & Transmissions.  The truck was towed for a 2nd time.  They fixed the vehicle and charged $229.10 see invoice # [redacted].  The mechanic conveyed that the repairs and parts done by Master Mobile Mechanics were unnecessary.

4.  The original parts (minus starter and ignition) were returned to my truck one at a time.  The truck was tested and started after every part.  See invoice # 13164 from [redacted]’s and I was charged $274.10.

So to summarize, my truck wasn’t repaired by Master Mobile Mechanics.  I had to have the EXACT same issue repaired somewhere else.  In addition, the repairs they claimed were necessary were in fact not, as demonstrated and documented by having them reinstalled by a certified technician.

Respectfully,
