. Charged two hours extra for a T case seal replacement. The seal broke before a year and he did not honor warranty.
Problem date 5/1/2019/, Invoice #***, T case seal replaced and fluid refilled for a highlander 08.
Charged 3 hours of labour which included the time for his apprentice to get the parts. It took his apprentice less than an hour to change the broken seal once the part arrived.
Less than a year after, the seal broke and he did not want to honor a one-year warranty.
I would like to get a refund.

I respect each of my customer as they bring business to us. Honesty and customer satisfaction is my goal. And I have thousands of satisfied customers in Master Motors history over last six years. But unfortunately sometime we have to meet some problematic guys as five fingers are not equal. Even then I try my best to satisfy them.
In this Particular case, the complaint is about a leaking Transfer case rear seal.
We replaced the seal on 1st of May 2019 (***).
Customer came back with complaint that seal is leaking again on 13th of June 2020. He was with aggressive, misbehaving and threatening behaviour (I have all conversation video and voice recorded, (Printed signage for video recording is pasted on the wall)). Even then I did bring his vehicle inside and raised up on the hoist, checked the seal and tried to explain the things to him but he was in a mood of escalate the things. Then I comely tried to defuse the situation as this is my business and I never want any situation, what can create bad image for my business.
This job is 1 month 13 days over the warranty period of 1 Year. No parts supplying business is providing warranty after 1 year from the purchase of Seals. Also there is no Warranty for Labour after 1 year what ever the part is from any parts selling business.
Our Warranty program goes with parts selling Businesses, whatever we get from there, we provide it to the customers.
There was no written or verbal warranty promise was made to this specific customer for more than 1 year.
I did charge him $305.25 (***) for the whole Work. This work was consisted on 2 jobs:
1- Replacement of seal
2- Transfer case fluid
I did charge him the specific time what mitchels software (informative program for lobar charges) was telling me. And the shop rate of $90/hour is posted on the website www.mastermotors.co
Quality Of Work:
From 1st May 2019 to 30th of April 2020, he never made a complaint about the leaking seal. As the seal was not leaking in between this period. It means seal was installed correctly otherwise he was going to come back in an day or week as leaking seal was not going to allow him keep driving the vehicle for more than 13 months.
Quality of Parts:
All parts selling business are selling the seals and seals are National or SKF brands. There is no Substandard or bad quality part available in the market up to my information.
Seals are never be reusable (so we cant install a seal from salvage or junkyard). I am not the one who is manufacturing seals or parts, I am buying them from renowned Parts selling Business.

Claim is after the warranty period so no warranty can be provided.
