Homeowners Beware - Do NOT use Master Roofing LLC in Southern California
⚠️ Homeowners beware — avoid Master Roofing, owned by CEO Quinn Schilz.
My experience with this company was deeply disappointing. Although their sales rep, Nick Jones, seems knowledgeable and presents the company well, the actual work is nothing like what’s promised. Once the project starts, Master Roofing outsources demolition and roofing work to third‑party crews who show little to no regard for your home (or your neighbors' homes). Worse, a different crew arrived nearly every day, with zero communication between teams and no real oversight from the company.
The office—run by Helen Shahid—provided almost no coordination or continuity. Important information never made it to the crews, and at times it felt like no one within the company talked to each other.
The workmanship was poor, incomplete, and sloppy, especially in visible areas such as rooftop decks or sections of the roof seen from balconies. The finishing quality was nowhere close to professional standards.
Trying to get issues corrected was even worse. Their follow‑through consisted of broken promises, repeated cancellations, and missed appointments. I had to constantly chase them just to get updates or schedule fixes, and even then, they often didn’t show up.
A critical warning: Do not follow their typical two‑payment structure. If you must hire them, ensure most of the payment is withheld until the work is fully completed, because it’s the only leverage you’ll have—and even then, they still cancel and delay.
Overall, the stress, wasted time, and poor workmanship were absolutely not worth it. Seriously—run from this company. You will regret hiring them.
