Review: The following letter to Master Seal, dated 12.20.2013, summarizes the entire problem. "To recap, on November 6th of this year you sealed my driveway. As always, we were satisfied with the quality and price of your work. At that time, we called attention to a problem from last year’s application, drips of sealer that we saw on our almost new garage door. (We mentioned this problem to you at the time. Nothing happened then, and—quite honestly—we forgot about it until this year.) "Your workers told us to call your office. My wife, [redacted], did that the same day or the next and talked to [redacted]. She told [redacted] (and me on a later call) that she or someone else would come out and take a look. We were prepared to pay you the $119 due for 2013 but decided to wait until the 2012 problem was resolved to pay it. "Six weeks have passed and still no one has come to see the problem, talk to us about it, or—most importantly of course—fix it. Even more disappointing is the fact that, as mentioned above, no one has returned several phone calls I have made from then until now. "We believe that the laborer is indeed worthy of his pay. However, we do not feel that we should make payment until the “situation” noted is resolved. "Please contact us at your earliest convenience. We will be glad to pay you what we owe as soon as this is taken care of. Thank you. Yours truly, [redacted]Desired Settlement: Come back and clean the driveway sealer off our garage door. (Then we will gladly pay for the 2013 sealing treatment.)

Re: Complaint ID [redacted]

The following adds to the information included in my original above-numbered complaint.

Following receipt, [redacted], the[redacted], called me on two or three occasions, telling me that (1) their equipment had been put away for the winter but that (2) he would take care of everything in the spring.

Nothing happened until approximately June 18, 2014. [redacted] came out (without calling in advance). They started to pressure wash our garage door. My wife stopped them, as the pressure washing was not removing the sealer spots from the door. Then they offered to paint the

door. We declined this also, as we were quite sure that this would mar the factory-baked original paint and perhaps void any warranty. (As I also remember,

they were going to paint it black to “match” the spots!)

In late June, we had the owner of [redacted], the company that installed the door in 2012, inspect the problem. He concurred that neither pressure washing nor a “slap dash paint job” (to quote him) would be effective. He offered a solution that he thought would probably work and quoted us a price—for labor and materials—of $200.

After this conversation, we tried on three or four occasions, from June through July, to get Master Seal ([redacted]) to discuss with us the solution. The first time I called, I talked to someone who said she would pass on the message. Nothing happened. The other three or four times I had to leave messages, but they were not returned.

The problem is still not fixed. We have a solution that we are quite sure will work, but we feel it is Master Seal’s responsibility to stand behind their work, especially since they caused the problem initially.

Thank you for following up on these additional details. Feel free to contact me if you need more information.

Review: My Driveway was paved on 7/3 around 12:30pm. It rained early evening around 7pm and continued to rain most of the night and off and on for several days. Some of the sealer was washed away and in spots the seal is completely gone. I have called and left 3 messages and have called several times and could not leave a message because the answering machine was full. Master Seal, sealed a driveway a few houses down from me the week ending 7/18.

I am selling my home and this is affecting the appearance of my house.Desired Settlement: Repair or a refund so I can use the money toward another company completing the job
