Master Service Plumbing's (MSP) response to claims made by *** is as follows:
***'s claim that we
failed to show up after putting him on our work schedule is misleadingAs a contracting company, we sometimes ask customers to reschedule work so we can accommodate other customers who have 'emergency' plumbing issuesI do not recall that occurring with this job, but it is possible that may have occurredHowever, it did not occur with such frequency that I can even recall one instance of it happening on this jobOn the contrary, *** called our office to schedule once other contractors completed what they needed to before we could come in with the next phase of our work, only for our plumbers to arrive and find the job in total disarray and not at all ready for our next phaseThus we would leave the job site and move on to our next job***, acting as a homeowner/contractor, was obviously unfamiliar with the contracting business and the order in which work needs to be completedWe made every effort to accommodate his layman's knowledge of build schedules***'s tyrannical behavior quickly became the bane of our staff's existence as phone calls from *** would include a barrage of complaints followed by a threat of firing if we didn't produce a plumber at his house immediatelyI believe *** felt he was being ignored, when in fact, we would send our staff to his house nearly every time he called demanding someone show up NOWUnfortunately, they would get there, see the job was nowhere near ready for us, then leave
The final straw came when *** called, angry as usual, saying we told him someone would be there to move the water heater into its permanent locationWe had attempted to do thatHowever, the two plumbers we sent arrived at the job only to discover there was no heat in the house and the wall had not been sheet rocked where the water heater was to be installedHad they installed the water heater at that time, we would have had to return on another date to uninstall the water heater so insulation & sheet rock could be installed behind it and then returned on yet a THIRD TRIP to re-install the water heater for a second timeNot only would three trips be a waste of everyone's time, it would have increased ***'s bill considerably as we were working on a time & material basis at that point
*** then demanded we come plug the water heater into an extension cord so he could get a job inspection signed off by the CityThis occurred in early March, when temperatures were near or below freezing each nightThere was no heat in the house & no sheet rock on the wallsHad we started up the water heater with the house in the state it was, we would have had to pressurize the pipes (fill them with water)Doing so would have been irresponsible of us as it could have resulted in freeze breaks in the water pipesThere is no way we were going to subject ourselves to that kind of liability
As previously stated, our refusal to plug a water heater into an extension cord was the final straw for ***He called our office, demanded to know why we hadn't done what he asked, & threatened to fire MSP, yet againIt was at that point that *** was taken up on his offer to fire us
*** stated MSP installed his plumbing backwardsObviously MSP did not install the original plumbing in this house, which is where the 'backwards' plumbing issue startsThis house is plumbed with hot where the cold should be and vice versaThat is an easy fix once you know it's an issueUnfortunately, we were fired from the job before we were ever able to put the systems we installed on testFurther, we were never allowed to make right any of the problems (those that are relative to MSP installations) mentioned in ***'s complaint
With regard to the washing machine drain, *** refused to allow MSP to dig under the field stone foundation to provide a proper tto the sewer pipeThe second option was provided because he refused the first and most appropriate optionNo promises were madeHe was simply given an alternate option because he asked for one
With regard to a contract, *** was provided a contract, which he signed (electronic copy can be provided upon request as there is no way to attach it to this response), for the gas pipeHe requested additional work, which he advised, "doesn't need to be done right away"All work completed from that point forward was on a time & material basis, which *** agreed to by way of verbal authorization as well as allowing us onto the job site on numerous occasions from March 2-9,
With regard to holes in the roof *** states were made by MSPIn fact, that work was completed by a roofing contractor *** himself hiredThe penetrations were required for water heater flue ventsMSP had our roofer scheduled to do the work*** then called and requested the work be done immediatelyWhen MSP's roofer couldn't show up on demand, *** brought in his own roofer to complete the penetrationsAny roof damage should be addressed with his roofer
With regard to the dryer vent, we haven't a clue what *** is talking aboutWe did not provide or install any dryer ventingWe installed gas pipe to the dryer location, nothing more with regard to the dryer
We don't claim to be perfectBut we do pride ourselves on excellent customer service and craftsmanshipIf a customer finds our work to be less than exactly what they want, we have & will always make it our mission to do what we can to make it right for our customersWe make every effort to schedule our jobs in such a way that we do not often have to 'bump' customers to another time/dayUnfortunately, sometimes you simply can't please a customerWe were not the first or last plumbing company that *** hired then firedThe mere mention of ***'s name caused stress levels to peak for our staff, both in the office & fieldJust when we thought we had done everything we could to please him, *** would call with his passive aggressive demeanor and demand immediate attention due to what he perceived as hollow promisesIn all honesty, I believe this to be a case of a homeowner turned contractor, minus any experience or knowledge in the field*** simply does not understand the way in which a construction job/remodel should be runIn fairness to him, there is no reason he should know thatThe key here, however, is knowing what you don't know
Finally, I believe you will agree when I say MSP should have been given an opportunity to correct any faulty installations we madeBased on ***'s own comments in his Yelp review, correspondence we received from him directly, accusations made to Collection Services of Nevada, and now you (Revdex.com), it appears the only 'faulty' work MSP produced was caused by tying into the existing water pipes, which were themselves the cause of the problemWe would gladly have corrected that issue, had we known it existedUnfortunately, *** didn't contact our office to advise us of a problem until June 19, That's nearly three-months after he received our final invoice for services renderedI doubt *** would have responded at that point had we not included our letter of intent to turn his account over to collections*** claims he simply wants MSP to pay for 'repairs' to work we performedHowever, we did not make the roof penetrations, we did not install a dryer vent for him, and we were never advised of any issues with the plumbing installations we madeWe cannot right something we do not know is wrongOur cost to swap the flexes on the water heater and move the ice maker tee to the cold pipe would be $(labor & material included)
Contactor's desired resolution: *** pays MSP for services rendered
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 12, 2015/07/24) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This response is a classic example of a company that shamefully twists the truth to make themselves seem professional so as to lure someone else into their web of incompetency and deceitI can recall three specific times that they called and told me they would be at my house that afternoon and never showed up and also never called to Tell me they could not make itThere is only one specific day that they sent a technician to install the water heater and that is the day I will describe here:
The technician arrived, said a brief hello and then got on his cell phone and began to complain to the person on the other end about how sick he was and how mad he was that some other employee of the company didn't come to work that day and he had all of the other persons work to do tooI listened to this tirade for about fifteen minutes before walking far enough away that I couldn't hear him any moreWhen I came back later he was still on the phone and doing the water heater installation at the same timeAfter he left I checked the work he had done; the work that included running a dryer vent, drilling through the wall of my shower to connect a washing machine drain into the shower, drilling two holes through my roof to vent the water heater and installing what was supposed to be a nice chrome fitting in the showerThe technician did install the dryer ventBy running the ducting clear across the attic to an existing roof ventThis long distance away from the dryer made my dryer very inefficientThe individual I hired to install the new vent in a position close to the dryer was at my house on the day the master service technician was working and can verify the claim master service makes that they did not install the dryer vent is completely false
This person can also verify that master service did drill through the roof for the water heater vents because he saw that also and he put the flashing on the two ventsIn any event the holes they drilled were not clean and the technician ripped out big pieces of the boards from my roofMaster service is caught in another lieThe nice chrome fitting that master service promised to install in my shower was a big ugly two inch galvanized pipe fitting which they slapped in to my new $tile shower and*** the owner knows very well that was not what he had promised me
I was not at all happy with the work master service did but contrary to their claims I was still trying to work with them to complete the projectI called to arrange a time for them to come out and check the installation to make sure the water heater worked and *** agreed to replace the ugly pipe fitting in the showerAt that time all the work master service was going to do was done except for a functional check on the water heaterI talked to*** about the electrical outlet that was next to the water heater and he agreed that it would work for a functional checkWell I waited for *** to show up and he never came and he did not call me although he claims he didI was home all day and I didn't see himThat was enough for me, I called and told him that I would not need their services anymore
I am a professional pilot and licensed aircraft mechanic so I felt confident that I could run a functional check on a water heaterWell, it wouldn't work no matter what I triedI called *** because I wanted a real professional company to look at the problemThe technician who came took a while to trouble shoot the problem but when he found it he just shook his head in disbelief and asked me what kind of an outfit did I have working here? They had connected the hot and cold water lines backwards and the valve for the ice maker in the refrigerator was connected to the hot water line
I have invoices from the professional contractors I had to hire to fix the mess that master service made at my house and I also have witnesses who viewed the work they didMy conclusion is that master service is incompetent and dishonest and I cannot believe they are unwilling to accept any responsibility for their shoddy work
Final Business Response /* (4000, 17, 2015/08/13) */
Please accept this correspondence as our response to the rebuttal submitted by *** on 7/24/
First and foremost, Master Service Plumbing has held an A+ rating with the Revdex.com for several years nowWe have no current or past complaints with any licensing agencyNor do we have any disciplinary actions against us by any accrediting or licensing agencyThe reason we have maintained such a stellar reputation is because we take our business very seriously
Our final bill for services rendered was mailed to *** on March 29, We did not receive any communication from him until we sent a statement with a notice of intent to submit his account to collections, which was mailed to him on June 17, That prompted *** to send us his first communication, advising he had hired others to make repairs to the "shoddy work" he claimed we had doneHe further stated he would add up all the invoices & expenses for his time, which he has failed to provide to dateIt is curious this man did not have any issues with our work until such time as we indicated we would be submitting his account for collections
With regard to the dryer vent - we have no record of any dryer vent installation by any of our plumbers who worked on the *** jobWe have thoroughly reviewed our records, which include daily reports completed for each day worked at the jobThose reports include total hours for each day at the job, work performed daily, and material used on each visitNot only is there no reference of any dryer vent installation at this job, there is no material listed that would reflect that installation (dryer vent hose, clamps, etc)
During the course of reviewing said reports, we noted our plumber did in fact penetrate the roof at ***'s residence to accommodate the water heater ventsOutside of that, our original rebuttal standsWe had a licensed roofing company scheduled to come penetrate the roof for usHowever, *** insisted the work be completed immediatelyHe advised his roofer could do the penetrations for usNot surprisingly, his roofer, who is actually a handyman and not a licensed roofer, was not immediately available eitherAt that point, my plumber spoke with ***'s handyman on the phone and advised he would do the penetration, put the flashing on, and leave everything loose so the handyman could do what he needed with the roof patch
We already addressed the drain in the shower - nothing further
*** never agreed to plug a water heater in to the outlet for a, "functional test"A functional test is done when the water heater is properly installed in its permanent location*** said he wanted to get an inspection and needed the water heater operational*** refused to do a temporary installation of the water heater when said installation consisted of running an extension cord across a room and pressurizing water pipes in an unheated houseAs previously stated, that is against code and would certainly have drawn the attention of any inspector who happened upon the jobsiteAs far as the claim that *** did not show up at the job site - that is simply not trueHe and one of his plumbers arrived at the jobsite, said hello to the woman and what appeared to be her son who live in the front house, went inside, called out to see if anyone was at the jobsite (no response), determined the job was still not ready for the water heater to be fired (no power), and left*** called our office that afternoon and claimed *** had not shown upWhen he was advised otherwise, he said he must have been in the basement or something
We already addressed the hot/cold water pipes in the house and that they are reversed from their point of originationNot work Master Service Plumbing performed - nothing further
***'s rebuttal is offensive at the very leastTo suggest we run our company on a, "web of incompetency and deceit" would be laughable were it not so egregious and slanderousThat said, we will not indulge this man in any further communication on this matterWe have more than sufficiently indulged him on his quest to evade payment and place blame for accusations he has never provided evidence to supportWe have yet to see a bill from any other service providers or any photos to substantiate the subpar craftsmanshipFurther, as was stated in our last response, had *** contacted us to advise of problems with our installations, we would have promptly remedied themBut just the same as the plumbing company he ran off before us, we were not allowed the opportunity to right any wrongsIf there was a problem with the work we performed, *** had an obligation to advise us of same, allow us the chance to correct any issues, and proceed accordinglyHad we refused to provide warranty on the work we had completed to date, *** might have a leg to stand on
At this point, *** has confirmed numerous times via his written accounts of what happened, that he never contacted our office to advise of any problems with our work or requests by him to rectify perceived problems

Worst customer service I have ever experienced!
Recently, tenants in my rental property had an issue with the shower knob in the guest bathroomThey called Master Service Plumbing for an free estimate on what it would cost to fix
The plumber arrived and quoted them a price of $for parts and laborHe assured my tenants that there was no charge for the estimate and to make a follow up appointment if they'd like to have the work performed
My tenants contacted me for my approval and I told them I would arrange someone to come out and fix the issue, but we would pass on using Master Service Plumbing because the quote seemed a bit high
Fast forward one week and I receive a call from the office manager GabrielleShe explained that since we decided to not use their company, the free estimate was now being converted to a service call
When I tried reasoning with her she became upset and threatened to send the invoice to collectionsMind you, this was over a $invoiceI politely told her that I would not budge on my stance that a free estimate is exactly what it states
About five minutes after our call I received yet another call from the owner of Master Service Plumbing MarkHe decided to take a much more aggressive approachMark told me that he was not going to send the bill to collections, but instead he would be placing a Mechanical Lien on my property to "lock it up," preventing it from a future sale
He continued to say, "you probably have know idea what that even is, so go ahead and do an Internet search to realize we don't $&@! around."
Appalled at such language and his tone I quickly caught him off guard when I quoted him Nevada's statutes for placing such a lien on a person's propertyIt actually requires a minimum of $worth of work performed in order to meet the basic requirements
Like a sore loser at a poker table, Mark threw his cards down when I called his bluffHe began screaming obscenities at me not knowing that my speaker phone was on and everyone in the restaurant where I was dining heard all the terrible things he had to say
He then began to threaten me with physical violenceHe said, " You're a little punk and I dare you to come down here so I can kick your teeth in." Still in my cool, calm and collective voice I told him how immature he was acting and someone in his position shouldn't act so unprofessionalHis response was again to challenge me to a fight while shouting more curse words

The work was done incompetently and required me to hire other contactors to repair the damage done to my property. There was no proposal offered for the work even though I requested one and I never signed a work order. The problems began when the contractor would schedule a time and date to do work and then they wouldn't show up. They completed the work in one day and scheduled a time the following day to check the operation of a tankless hot water heater. They didn't show up and they didn't call. I fired them because I was tired of them not showing up. When I tried to start the hot water heater it wouldn't work. I called [redacted] Plumbing to help me and they found that Master Service Plumbing had hooked the water lines up backwards and also had hot water running to the icemaker in my new refrigerator. The owner of Master Service Plumbing convinced me to run the drain for my new washing machine into the shower saying he would make it look real nice. He ran it in there with a big two inch galvanized pipe fitting and it is totally unacceptable. I will need to hire another contractor to fix that. I noticed later that they had torn out big pieces of the roof boards when they drilled holes for the water heater vents. I will need to get that repaired also. They ran the dryer hose for my new dryer clear across the attic which makes my dryer inefficient and as I am writing this there is a contractor working to repair that as well. Desired SettlementI want them to make an adjustment to my bill after I have had all these things repaired and I want them to stop sending bills with additional finance charges until I have received all the bills from the contractors I have had to hire to repair their work. The last time I called the company to complain, the lady hung up on me.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]Master Service Plumbing's (MSP) response to claims made by [redacted] is as follows:1. [redacted]'s claim that we failed to show up after putting him on our work schedule is misleading. As a contracting company, we sometimes ask customers to reschedule work so we can accommodate other customers who have 'emergency' plumbing issues. I do not recall that occurring with this job, but it is possible that may have occurred. However, it did not occur with such frequency that I can even recall one instance of it happening on this job. On the contrary, [redacted] called our office to schedule once other contractors completed what they needed to before we could come in with the next phase of our work, only for our plumbers to arrive and find the job in total disarray and not at all ready for our next phase. Thus we would leave the job site and move on to our next job. [redacted], acting as a homeowner/contractor, was obviously unfamiliar with the contracting business and the order in which work needs to be completed. We made every effort to accommodate his layman's knowledge of build schedules. [redacted]'s tyrannical behavior quickly became the bane of our staff's existence as phone calls from [redacted] would include a barrage of complaints followed by a threat of firing if we didn't produce a plumber at his house immediately. I believe [redacted] felt he was being ignored, when in fact, we would send our staff to his house nearly every time he called demanding someone show up NOW. Unfortunately, they would get there, see the job was nowhere near ready for us, then leave. 2. The final straw came when [redacted] called, angry as usual, saying we told him someone would be there to move the water heater into its permanent location. We had attempted to do that. However, the two plumbers we sent arrived at the job only to discover there was no heat in the house and the wall had not been sheet rocked where the water heater was to be installed. Had they installed the water heater at that time, we would have had to return on another date to uninstall the water heater so insulation & sheet rock could be installed behind it and then returned on yet a THIRD TRIP to re-install the water heater for a second time. Not only would three trips be a waste of everyone's time, it would have increased [redacted]'s bill considerably as we were working on a time & material basis at that point. 3. [redacted] then demanded we come plug the water heater into an extension cord so he could get a job inspection signed off by the City. This occurred in early March, when temperatures were near or below freezing each night. There was no heat in the house & no sheet rock on the walls. Had we started up the water heater with the house in the state it was, we would have had to pressurize the pipes (fill them with water). Doing so would have been irresponsible of us as it could have resulted in freeze breaks in the water pipes. There is no way we were going to subject ourselves to that kind of liability.4. As previously stated, our refusal to plug a water heater into an extension cord was the final straw for [redacted]. He called our office, demanded to know why we hadn't done what he asked, & threatened to fire MSP, yet again. It was at that point that [redacted] was taken up on his offer to fire us. 5. [redacted] stated MSP installed his plumbing backwards. Obviously MSP did not install the original plumbing in this house, which is where the 'backwards' plumbing issue starts. This house is plumbed with hot where the cold should be and vice versa. That is an easy fix once you know it's an issue. Unfortunately, we were fired from the job before we were ever able to put the systems we installed on test. Further, we were never allowed to make right any of the problems (those that are relative to MSP installations) mentioned in [redacted]'s complaint. 6. With regard to the washing machine drain, [redacted] refused to allow MSP to dig under the field stone foundation to provide a proper tie-in to the sewer pipe. The second option was provided because he refused the first and most appropriate option. No promises were made. He was simply given an alternate option because he asked for one.7. With regard to a contract, [redacted] was provided a contract, which he signed (electronic copy can be provided upon request as there is no way to attach it to this response), for the gas pipe. He requested additional work, which he advised, "doesn't need to be done right away". All work completed from that point forward was on a time & material basis, which [redacted] agreed to by way of verbal authorization as well as allowing us onto the job site on numerous occasions from March 2-9, 2015. 8. With regard to holes in the roof [redacted] states were made by MSP. In fact, that work was completed by a roofing contractor [redacted] himself hired. The penetrations were required for water heater flue vents. MSP had our roofer scheduled to do the work. [redacted] then called and requested the work be done immediately. When MSP's roofer couldn't show up on demand, [redacted] brought in his own roofer to complete the penetrations. Any roof damage should be addressed with his roofer. 9. With regard to the dryer vent, we haven't a clue what [redacted] is talking about. We did not provide or install any dryer venting. We installed gas pipe to the dryer location, nothing more with regard to the dryer. We don't claim to be perfect. But we do pride ourselves on excellent customer service and craftsmanship. If a customer finds our work to be less than exactly what they want, we have & will always make it our mission to do what we can to make it right for our customers. We make every effort to schedule our jobs in such a way that we do not often have to 'bump' customers to another time/day. Unfortunately, sometimes you simply can't please a customer. We were not the first or last plumbing company that [redacted] hired then fired. The mere mention of [redacted]'s name caused stress levels to peak for our staff, both in the office & field. Just when we thought we had done everything we could to please him, [redacted] would call with his passive aggressive demeanor and demand immediate attention due to what he perceived as hollow promises. In all honesty, I believe this to be a case of a homeowner turned contractor, minus any experience or knowledge in the field. [redacted] simply does not understand the way in which a construction job/remodel should be run. In fairness to him, there is no reason he should know that. The key here, however, is knowing what you don't know. Finally, I believe you will agree when I say MSP should have been given an opportunity to correct any faulty installations we made. Based on [redacted]'s own comments in his Yelp review, correspondence we received from him directly, accusations made to Collection Services of Nevada, and now you (Revdex.com), it appears the only 'faulty' work MSP produced was caused by tying into the existing water pipes, which were themselves the cause of the problem. We would gladly have corrected that issue, had we known it existed. Unfortunately, [redacted] didn't contact our office to advise us of a problem until June 19, 2015. That's nearly three-months after he received our final invoice for services rendered. I doubt [redacted] would have responded at that point had we not included our letter of intent to turn his account over to collections. [redacted] claims he simply wants MSP to pay for 'repairs' to work we performed. However, we did not make the roof penetrations, we did not install a dryer vent for him, and we were never advised of any issues with the plumbing installations we made. We cannot right something we do not know is wrong. Our cost to swap the flexes on the water heater and move the ice maker tee to the cold pipe would be $100 (labor & material included). Contactor's desired resolution: [redacted] pays MSP for services rendered. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)This response is a classic example of a company that shamefully twists the truth to make themselves seem professional so as to lure someone else into their web of incompetency and deceit. I can recall three specific times that they called and told me they would be at my house that afternoon and never showed up and also never called to Tell me they could not make it. There is only one specific day that they sent a technician to install the water heater and that is the day I will describe here:The technician arrived, said a brief hello and then got on his cell phone and began to complain to the person on the other end about how sick he was and how mad he was that some other employee of the company didn't come to work that day and he had all of the other persons work to do too. I listened to this tirade for about fifteen minutes before walking far enough away that I couldn't hear him any more. When I came back later he was still on the phone and doing the water heater installation at the same time. After he left I checked the work he had done; the work that included running a dryer vent, drilling through the wall of my shower to connect a washing machine drain into the shower, drilling two holes through my roof to vent the water heater and installing what was supposed to be a nice chrome fitting in the shower. The technician did install the dryer vent. By running the ducting clear across the attic to an existing roof vent. This long distance away from the dryer made my dryer very inefficient. The individual I hired to install the new vent in a position close to the dryer was at my house on the day the master service technician was working and can verify the claim master service makes that they did not install the dryer vent is completely false. This person can also verify that master service did drill through the roof for the water heater vents because he saw that also and he put the flashing on the two vents. In any event the holes they drilled were not clean and the technician ripped out big pieces of the boards from my roof. Master service is caught in another lie. The nice chrome fitting that master service promised to install in my shower was a big ugly two inch galvanized pipe fitting which they slapped in to my new $5000.00 tile shower and[redacted] the owner knows very well that was not what he had promised me. I was not at all happy with the work master service did but contrary to their claims I was still trying to work with them to complete the project. I called to arrange a time for them to come out and check the installation to make sure the water heater worked and [redacted] agreed to replace the ugly pipe fitting in the shower. At that time all the work master service was going to do was done except for a functional check on the water heater. I talked to[redacted] about the electrical outlet that was next to the water heater and he agreed that it would work for a functional check. Well I waited for [redacted] to show up and he never came and he did not call me although he claims he did. I was home all day and I didn't see him. That was enough for me, I called and told him that I would not need their services anymore. I am a professional pilot and licensed aircraft mechanic so I felt confident that I could run a functional check on a water heater. Well, it wouldn't work no matter what I tried. I called [redacted] because I wanted a real professional company to look at the problem. The technician who came took a while to trouble shoot the problem but when he found it he just shook his head in disbelief and asked me what kind of an outfit did I have working here? They had connected the hot and cold water lines backwards and the valve for the ice maker in the refrigerator was connected to the hot water line. I have invoices from the professional contractors I had to hire to fix the mess that master service made at my house and I also have witnesses who viewed the work they did. My conclusion is that master service is incompetent and dishonest and I cannot believe they are unwilling to accept any responsibility for their shoddy work. Final Business Response Please accept this correspondence as our response to the rebuttal submitted by [redacted] on 7/24/15. First and foremost, Master Service Plumbing has held an A+ rating with the Revdex.com for several years now. We have no current or past complaints with any licensing agency. Nor do we have any disciplinary actions against us by any accrediting or licensing agency. The reason we have maintained such a stellar reputation is because we take our business very seriously. Our final bill for services rendered was mailed to [redacted] on March 29, 2015. We did not receive any communication from him until we sent a statement with a notice of intent to submit his account to collections, which was mailed to him on June 17, 2015. That prompted [redacted] to send us his first communication, advising he had hired others to make repairs to the "shoddy work" he claimed we had done. He further stated he would add up all the invoices & expenses for his time, which he has failed to provide to date. It is curious this man did not have any issues with our work until such time as we indicated we would be submitting his account for collections. With regard to the dryer vent - we have no record of any dryer vent installation by any of our plumbers who worked on the [redacted] job. We have thoroughly reviewed our records, which include daily reports completed for each day worked at the job. Those reports include total hours for each day at the job, work performed daily, and material used on each visit. Not only is there no reference of any dryer vent installation at this job, there is no material listed that would reflect that installation (dryer vent hose, clamps, etc).During the course of reviewing said reports, we noted our plumber did in fact penetrate the roof at [redacted]'s residence to accommodate the water heater vents. Outside of that, our original rebuttal stands. We had a licensed roofing company scheduled to come penetrate the roof for us. However, [redacted] insisted the work be completed immediately. He advised his roofer could do the penetrations for us. Not surprisingly, his roofer, who is actually a handyman and not a licensed roofer, was not immediately available either. At that point, my plumber spoke with [redacted]'s handyman on the phone and advised he would do the penetration, put the flashing on, and leave everything loose so the handyman could do what he needed with the roof patch. We already addressed the drain in the shower - nothing further.[redacted] never agreed to plug a water heater in to the outlet for a, "functional test". A functional test is done when the water heater is properly installed in its permanent location. [redacted] said he wanted to get an inspection and needed the water heater operational. [redacted] refused to do a temporary installation of the water heater when said installation consisted of running an extension cord across a room and pressurizing water pipes in an unheated house. As previously stated, that is against code and would certainly have drawn the attention of any inspector who happened upon the jobsite. As far as the claim that [redacted] did not show up at the job site - that is simply not true. He and one of his plumbers arrived at the jobsite, said hello to the woman and what appeared to be her son who live in the front house, went inside, called out to see if anyone was at the jobsite (no response), determined the job was still not ready for the water heater to be fired (no power), and left. [redacted] called our office that afternoon and claimed [redacted] had not shown up. When he was advised otherwise, he said he must have been in the basement or something. We already addressed the hot/cold water pipes in the house and that they are reversed from their point of origination. Not work Master Service Plumbing performed - nothing further. [redacted]'s rebuttal is offensive at the very least. To suggest we run our company on a, "web of incompetency and deceit" would be laughable were it not so egregious and slanderous. That said, we will not indulge this man in any further communication on this matter. We have more than sufficiently indulged him on his quest to evade payment and place blame for accusations he has never provided evidence to support. We have yet to see a bill from any other service providers or any photos to substantiate the subpar craftsmanship. Further, as was stated in our last response, had [redacted] contacted us to advise of problems with our installations, we would have promptly remedied them. But just the same as the plumbing company he ran off before us, we were not allowed the opportunity to right any wrongs. If there was a problem with the work we performed, [redacted] had an obligation to advise us of same, allow us the chance to correct any issues, and proceed accordingly. Had we refused to provide warranty on the work we had completed to date, [redacted] might have a leg to stand on. At this point, [redacted] has confirmed numerous times via his written accounts of what happened, that he never contacted our office to advise of any problems with our work or requests by him to rectify perceived problems.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced!
Recently, tenants in my rental property had an issue with the shower knob in the guest bathroom. They called Master Service Plumbing for an free estimate on what it would cost to fix.
The plumber arrived and quoted them a price of $213.00 for parts and labor. He assured my tenants that there was no charge for the estimate and to make a follow up appointment if they'd like to have the work performed.
My tenants contacted me for my approval and I told them I would arrange someone to come out and fix the issue, but we would pass on using Master Service Plumbing because the quote seemed a bit high.
Fast forward one week and I receive a call from the office manager Gabrielle. She explained that since we decided to not use their company, the free estimate was now being converted to a service call.
When I tried reasoning with her she became upset and threatened to send the invoice to collections. Mind you, this was over a $90.00 invoice. I politely told her that I would not budge on my stance that a free estimate is exactly what it states.
About five minutes after our call I received yet another call from the owner of Master Service Plumbing Mark. He decided to take a much more aggressive approach. Mark told me that he was not going to send the bill to collections, but instead he would be placing a Mechanical Lien on my property to "lock it up," preventing it from a future sale.
He continued to say, "you probably have know idea what that even is, so go ahead and do an Internet search to realize we don't $&@! around."
Appalled at such language and his tone I quickly caught him off guard when I quoted him Nevada's statutes for placing such a lien on a person's property. It actually requires a minimum of $500.00 worth of work performed in order to meet the basic requirements.
Like a sore loser at a poker table, Mark threw his cards down when I called his bluff. He began screaming obscenities at me not knowing that my speaker phone was on and everyone in the restaurant where I was dining heard all the terrible things he had to say.
He then began to threaten me with physical violence. He said, " You're a little punk and I dare you to come down here so I can kick your teeth in." Still in my cool, calm and collective voice I told him how immature he was acting and someone in his position shouldn't act so unprofessional. His response was again to challenge me to a fight while shouting more curse words. ","neg-1
