I purchased a hot water heater on a Saturday, and the people who are contracted to put it in for *** *** said they couldn't until Monday when it is supposed to be same day installationI found Master & Sons plumbing on my own and was told they would send someone out to give me a free estimate within a couple hoursThey came out for a FREE estimate on a SATURDAY and ended up doing the job in about an hour and a half for less than the other company's "starting price" on a Monday*** was very personable and professional; I highly recommend!! This coming from a military spouse whose husband was deployed during the time; needed help not a rip off company and help if definitely what I received! It was nice to be able to email my husband and tell him, "We now have a trustworthy plumber in the area!" Thanks ***!!!!!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***,
and have determined that this response does not completely resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the response I reviewed appear below. While it is true that after eight long months Master and Sons Plumbing finally returned to our home, as ordered by Henrico County Building Inspections, to have their work inspected with the Deputy Building Official and Plumbing Inspector the sewer line and water line passed inspection, they have yet to address the grading issue in our front yard that causes flooding in the front yard and our crawlspace under the home with 5-1/2" of water when it rainsThey once again told us and the county inspectors they would return to our home with a landscaper to bring in dirt to grade our yard properly away from the home on 8/11/and did not show up, on 8/18/and did not show up, and also 8/19/and did not show upThey are also required to raise the cleanout valve once the grading is completeThey have also not addressed our leaking toilet or retrieved the large metal pipe from under the home that they cut out and left behind in Dec We will address these two issues on our own as this company nor their representatives will be allowed to enter our home or do anything under our home againThey do, however, need to address the landscaping/grading issue and raise the cleanout valve

[redacted], and have determined that this response does not completely resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the response I reviewed appear below. While it is true that after eight long months Master and Sons Plumbing finally returned to our home, as ordered by Henrico County Building Inspections, to have their work inspected with the Deputy Building Official and Plumbing Inspector the sewer line and water line passed inspection, they have yet to address the grading issue in our front yard that causes flooding in the front yard and our crawlspace under the home with 5-1/2" of water when it rains. I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The $700 quote was made to me and my husband, we were both present which is why I'm involved. Master's and Sons contacted me about our initial payment of $325 and that my [redacted] Debit Card would not go through (I'm not sure why because I use that card quite often with no problems, even if the balance is not on the card, the transaction goes through and it's drafted from our checking account that it's linked to). My husband showed up that Friday with $325 in cash to cover the first invoice. At that point we inquired about a payment plan for the $1200 because again, we didn't have that kind of money. We offered $400 every Friday for the next three weeks. They called the next day and said we had to pay $600 that Friday (which we paid in cash since the card wasn't working) and then $600 on or by February 27th or they had the right to come and remove the piping. To date we've paid $925 for a $700 quoted job. Like I said before, I would like our original $700 quote honored or at least a reasonable compromise. We were taken advantage of. Had we known it was $1700 we would have shopped around or at least got a second opinion. We were robbed of that opportunity when [redacted] didn't return that Monday, showed up with the wrong tools on Tuesday only to finally fix it Wednesday hours before another snow storm hit Central VA. I understand that we didn't get that quote in writing but they didn't either. So maybe their business practice needs to change, maybe they do need to put their quotes in writing so that this doesn't happen again.

[redacted] called from the business. He said that the “89.95” is the advertised prize but that is for a week day during work hours. This customer contacted the business over the weekend; that included a service charge of “89.95” off the bat. The customer toilet needed to be removed for the...

amount of waste that had backed up in the toilet and the bath tub. This trip called for a charge for $189 to remove and reset the toilet, snake is $225. He was given discounts for military service and a senior citizen. They agreed to $360 for the final price. Before the business was able to use their tools the customer’s daughter did not feel that this price was acceptable. The business did not charge the customer the trip charge since she was so upset that it was more than a week trip would be. The customer was not charged for the estimate or the evaluation of the job.

Revdex.com spoke with [redacted] from the business. The original payment was $325. however, after that the business had to come back out and cut a hole and re pipe. The end price, with the already paid $325 was $1,700. The business brought it down to $1,525> the customer agreed to that price before t he work was done and after the tech spoke with the insurance adjuster. They business has a signed agreement to the price of the service.

Truly an angel today. My go to plumber refused to come out today due to weather, and they came out and restored water to my home. He even changed route when a road closure prevented him from coming. More than fairly priced, and could not have been kinder! Will be my new plumber on call and referral as well!

When we called them with our problem: water was coming through the kitchen ceiling, they came right away even though it was a Saturday. They were efficient and courteous and were able to locate and fix the problem in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend them.

The business reached out to Revdex.com to provide our office an update to this case. At this time the business has stated they have passed all inspections on this job. permit [redacted]

Revdex.com spoke to a representative from the business who stated that they had reversed the charges to the customer's credit card on 5/9/16 and he should see the credit reflected in the next several days.

Revdex.com spoke with a representative from the business who stated that she had spoken with the customer and arranged to reimburse him $200. She stated that money should be cleared by Monday and all issues should be resolved.

I had a water heater pipe burst in my wall that caused a lot of leakage. I called Master and Sons Plumbing, Inc. They came out quickly on a Saturday and accessed the problem. They gave me a fair price for the repairs and worked quickly to get my issue resolved. They were very friendly and professional, explaining everything along the way. I would recommend them and will use them again in the future.

These guys came out on a Saturday on short notice and took care of a leak in the ceiling. They were the most competitively priced of all the companies I spoke to. They were very friendly and courteous and finished the job in a few hours which included having to go Lowes for supplies. Very pleased and would recommend them to anyone who needs a plumber.
