Master & Sons Plumbing Reviews (%countItem)

Master and Sons didn't complete job on time, put a whole in my downstairs wall without informing me of it, provided a poor job in painting and patching and fully completing bathroom service. Mr. L the owner of the establishment even cut himself and left the gauze in my downstairs bathroom sink, blood drippings on my downstairs bathroom floor, a spot on the downstair well wall, and blood all over my upstairs bathroom through carpet and stated he didn't see a problem with putting the whole in the wall without asking me the homeowner and he couldn't help if he cut himself. I asked him why didn't he call me to inform me and he had no response. I then asked him why didn't he clean it up still no response but he apologize. I have kids and my daughter informed me of the blood on the bathroom carpet when she went to use the bathroom, I saw the blood drippings on the downstairs bathroom and carpet when I went to was my hands and the gauze in the sink, my son informed me about the whole in my basement wall when he went to get his shorts from the dryer. I have pictures of all the terrible painting and patching job, the whole in the wall, the blood stained carpets to prove my case. Mr. L continue to act as if he wasn't aware or concerned about anything that occured the who time of performing the service and continued doing things his way not according to what the contract stated. I can't question his plumbing efforts but if someone can't put a soap dish in that stays up,which fell off when my daughter was in the tube, I wouldn't consider them and expert at plumbing and they are not expert painters I have the showing of my bathroom to prove it.

They really help me out! I had a problem at my salon within 30 minute they came out and got right to the job. Didn't know the job was so complicated but they made me a lifetime customer. I will always call them for my plumbing and will recommend to other .

Thank you and God Bless, Glad we could help

1/2/18 - I called to request assistance. The company owner came to assess the situation and provided me a verbal quote of $*** to remove and replace appx. 45 feet of sewer line/pipe from under my house and replace it with 4 in. PVC Pipe. He asked if tomorrow will be too soon to start and he will bring his crew of men and put heaters and fans there to work with and should be done in two days. He said he'd provide written contract tomorrow and I should pay 1/2 to start. 1/3/18 - He did not return or call. We called to ask if he'd be coming and he said Sat. or Mon., latest. 1/8/18 - He did not come or call. We called him and he said he had us on schedule for Wed., but he did not come or call. So, we called to see why and were told by a lady that he had emergencies and would be there in the a.m. for sure. He came Thurs. and changed the price to $*** stating that he had more work than he thought and returned Friday and I authorized a payment on my credit card and he left. We called him back after 4:00 p.m. and he said he'd return tomorrow but he didn't return or call.
Two other men returned 1/15 and 1/16. The owner returned on 1/17, and later that evening he called us, and in a harsh, demanding and threatening tone, he said he'd be finished by 12:00 tomorrow and I need to come and give him his money! I said that I need to inspect first. He said, you need 5 minutes and then give me my money in an aggressive and demanding tone! I inspected the work and took pictures on 1/19/18. It was horrible and the workmanship was very poor and not to my satisfaction with pieces of old pipes left a foot away from my back door steps, with sewage in them, 60 + degree temperatures, shower not installed properly, floor un-level, holes in the wall and purple product splashed across walls and radiator in bathroom, etc. I called two times and got no answer. He did not present me with a permit for doing the work, leaving me with concerns whether the work was done proper

We started the job on 1/8/18 as stated on the contract

If you recall there were heavy snow and extremely cold weather, when the weather brook and we where able to get a better look we realized that there was much more work to be done. We stopped work Called Miss. and her husband meet with them on site I explained the waste lines coming from the bathroom extensions needed to be replaced they are roten I explained what it would take to complete this job. She OK"d and signed the contract we completed the work.

we completed the job on the 18th the contract says it is to be completed by the 22nd

I called her about final payment on 17th , I asked if she can come to the job site and inspect the job and bring final payment on the 18th she said, she would not be able to meet me there at 12 noon but would try for 2pm, at this point I new she was trying not to pay. I asked her repeatedly when can we meet on site she finaly said she would not be meeting me on the18th.I explained to Miss *** I was living the state and would not return untill 22nd I h*** paid for labor and all material needed to complete this job, There was never any mention of applying for permits on this job or inspections. This was a direct replacement none of the fixtures were moved or relocated. As for getting the down payment we did not process card until 1/1718 we received it on 1/16/18 we started the job on 1/12/18 , she also neglected mention that we returned from getting parts needed for completion of this job, the same day and complete the work early. all the fixtures are working great and the tenet is very happy, We roto snaked the master bathroom tub waste and I installed a flapper on the extension bathroom toilet tank, the last two were not on the contract. those are add ons that = $*** we roto snaked+

The work was done very well If there are any issues we can address them, all fixtures are working great, toilet, shower, vanity, washer, Kitchen sink. We backfilled and cemented the floor, we are not flooring specialist but if you ask me I think its a great job, If she thinks the bathroom walls needs a paint job By all means she can paint it, we were not hired to remodel her bathroom we where hired to Repipe her 1st floor extension bathroom. You can tell by the verbiage she uses that the point here is not to pay after she repeatedly stated she would pay us.

She is trying to make it seem as if we had some ulterior motive, when all we want to do is a good job and get paid for it. I know sometimes there are issues but this seems fishy to me. I was sick on the 15th and 16th with the flu, my crew continued and I returned 17th and 18th for completion of job. I Called many times on monday 1/22/18 and tuesday 1/23/18 Only when I took the time and went to her residents did she answer the door, even then she g*** no valid reason for non payment.

Only when I came back to my office did I find out about complaints. on my email

here is my proposal one time offer deduct $*** from total Balance Duet, I can not see any of her concerns needing more than $***

Remember I drove to her home and asked why is she not picking up the phone, she g*** no real answer. As for my tone its the tone of a small shop owner knowing he's about to get screwed and is tired .

God bless you guys please know whats up

I am submitting this “Letter of Rejection” in response to the Proposal-One Time Offer that was submitted by Master & Sons Plumbing, Inc./Luis H, who finally came to the work site on 1/11/18 and had started cutting pipes from under the house by the time we arrived. I provided credit card information and signed the paper to make a down payment on 1/12/18, trusting him, and not knowing that he had not written it based on what we had agreed upon.REASONS FOR REJECTION:County Inspection---I requested that the work be done proper and by Code. Mr. H never obtained the Permit that was required to replace or relocate sewer lines before starting the work, nor did he obtain the required inspection that was required before completing the work to indicate that it was done proper and by Code. Included in this report, you will see pictures that indicate the slope on drainage lines are incorrect and sloping uphill as indicated by the leveler shown in pictures, the old sewer lines under house were left open, exposing raw sewage, and uncapped. Also, shown is a picture of a drainage line coming out of the house, where there is a leakage at the connection of an elbow, as indicated by the pointing of a finger. A permit, inspection and county approval are still requeste.Poor Workmanship---Due to Poor Workmanship, the following items are in need of correction and repair by a skilled Licensed Contractor. I do not wish to h*** Master & Sons to make any corrections or repairs.Proper leveling of the concrete floorProperly install flooring in the manner in which it was foundProperly reinstall the shower, replace broken wheel on bottom of shower door, and repair loose handle inside of showerProperly reinstall vanityRepair holes that were created and left in sheetrockPrime and paint walls that were damaged due to plumbing repairsProperly re-caulk around shower and vanity with the correct type of caulking that can be painted and to prevent leakageProperly reinstall, caulk and paint floor molding that was removed during plumbing repairRemount wooden step for entry into kitchen that was left loose from plumbing repairProperly seal off area under step to kitchen, exposed pipe under vanity, exposed pipe under kitchen sink, and all exposed pipes under crawl space, to prevent insects and rodents from being able to enter into home. Roto snaking was included in the pricing and the original flapper that was in the toilet was never a problem before the plumbing repair was done.Neither I, nor the elderly couple living in the house, were satisfied with his work.Properly Cleaning & Work Ethics Waste and debris was not removed from site after the so called completion of job, which required that someone else would h*** to be compensated to remove from the site. Temperatures were as follows with debris still remaining at the side of the door steps:1/20/18 = 62 1/21/18 = 65 1/22/18 = 67 1/23/18 = 72 The job was not completed to my satisfaction. Please see the attached pictures substantiating my dissatisfaction.I am requesting that “As Of Today, You and None Of Your Crew” are asked “never to return to my private residence (where I live), nor to my property on ***., where you were asked to make repairs, and that You Discontinue Your Threatening and Harassing Phone Calls to me Via Phone”. Any necessary arrangements can be made to (Revdex.com, Ref: Case # ***), or via ***, or e:mail. Because another Licensed Contractor and Plumber will be making the repairs that were left incomplete by Master & Sons, Inc., I do not feel that I am liable for any additional payment to Master & Sons, Inc.Thank you.

This complaint has been resolved.

Customer Response • Feb 20, 2018

I am submitting this “2nd Letter of Rejection” in response to the Reply that was submitted by Master & Sons Plumbing, Inc./Luis H, on February 13, 2018, stating that “This complaint has been resolved”. In my judgment, this complaint has not been resolved due to the following reasons: 1. I never received a response from Master & Sons Plumbing, Inc., stating or showing that the plumbing work was completed properly and by Code as required, according to the County of ***. 2. Mr. H never obtained the Permit that was required to replace or relocate sewer lines before starting the work, nor did he obtain the required inspection that was required before completing the work to indicate that it was done proper and by Code. 3. Please see the attached photographs that were originally submitted on February 6, 2018, which shows the slope on drainage lines are incorrect and sloping uphill as indicated by the leveler shown in the pictures, the old sewer lines under the house are still left open, exposing raw sewage, and uncapped. Also, shown is a picture of a drainage line coming out of the house, where there is still a leakage at the connection of an elbow, as indicated by the pointing of a finger. A permit, inspection and county approval are still requested.4. Due to his Poor Workmanship & Work Ethics, all of the items that were listed in my letter dated February 6, 2018 are still in need of correction. (See letter from February 6, 2018)5. I h*** received estimates from Licensed Contractors, which indicate that the cost to make repairs in the Bathroom alone, exceed the amount of money that I h*** already paid to Master & Sons Plumbing, Inc.6. The Contractors h*** recommended that, I utilize a Skilled, Licensed Plumber that will Inspect and Make Corrections as required by Code, if work is found to be incorrect, with the plumbing lines from the work that was performed by Master & Sons Plumbing, Inc.7. In order to resolve this matter, I am asking that this be done at the expense of Master & Sons Plumbing, Inc.,or this will mean that I will h*** to pay more money to another Plumber to correct work that Master & Sons are saying that “the complaint has been resolved” yet there has been no actions taken to correct the problems that exist.Based upon my understanding of this situation, “This Complaint has not been resolved”. Thank you,Brenda Baker

The technician came as scheduled and repaired my kitchen faucet however, when it started to leak again I called and was promised the tech would return the next day and would call when on the way. It took three more calls and two days wasted waiting for service. I believe the work they did was fairly priced but I was frustrated at having to wait days for promised service.

Master & Sons Plumbing Response
