Thanks Master Tech for fixing our ac system!! You guys rock!
The other day (Sunday) our ac went out My wife is months preganant with our 1st child, and anyone who's wife that has been pregnant during the summer knows what I was going through So anyways, we called around looking for the best price to come out, (limited budget) some companies wanted $just to come out cause it was a Sunday We found Master Tech, the receptionist (Jackie) was very helpful and informed us that the service call fee was $no matter when we called We scheduled and they were at our house whitin an hr They diagnoised the problem (bad contactor) within min and we had a cooled down house & wife about an hour after the repair was made We are very happy and will recommend Master Tech to ALL our friends and family! Thanks again Master Tech!!!

I wanted to have a garage gas heater installed for my detached garage and a gas emergency generator installed because the power goes out on my street at least a few times per yearI didn’t want to be without power in the winter if there was a power outageI had three HVAC contractors give me quotesMaster Tech was in the middle but they were the only ones that didn’t make contorted faces and ramble on about how hard it would be to run a gas line out to the garage- about a 65’ run and under a patio stone wall and up to the garageMy garage is actually two levels high in the back with a lower level in the backThey came out quickly after we agreed on price and all the workers were good and super politeThe heater in the garage has been giving problems staying on and Ryan the owner kept coming back with no hesitation until he got it rightThe problems were with the unit itself and Nicor having a meter that was too small and a defective regulator on their meterNone of it was Master Tech’s faultAll equipment and parts were brand new in their original containersI highly recommend Master Tech

Be careful They will lie and gouge you on price partsIn an after hours call, I told them just what part was needed, even the part number I was told the part could not be gotten, and it would be over 600$
This was a complete lie, I later confirmed you can have the supply house opened for a small charge And BTW - the part was only 125$
I spoke to the office manager and was justified up and down as to their lies

This was the best experience with a contractor we have ever hadWe called for service on our furnace the technician was at our door minutes later at 10pm he diagnosed the problem told us exactly what it would cost and repaired it immediatelyThere was no hidden charges, and from the time we called to the completion of the repair it was only one hour!! I recommend this company to anyone who wants the job done right and wants it done now!

The customer is only after money! We did our job properly and throughThe vale is in need of replacementHowever it's the year old unsafe unit that requires replacement that is why we quoted a new furnace! Not because we were looking for a saleThis guy even said himself in the first line! He
was told there will be a $service feeAnd he agreed and paid it

and did a correct diagnosis and told her it was a capictor but she didnt want to listen to our tech. again this is a complaint based only on PRICING!

If Master Tech had told me I only needed a capacitor then I would have had Master Tech fix my air conditioner right there on the spot. Instead I have a Master Tech receipt stating my condensing fan is locked up, the capacitor is blown, and the compressor has over heated. The receipt says my air conditioner was checked and cleaned. It was not cleaned. I have a hand written note from [redacted] the tech saying I need a condensing fan for $954.00 plus indoor/outdoor coils to replace the whole thing. (his words) [redacted] disconnected my air conditioner and told me not to use it. Furthermore from [redacted] I have an investment agreement stating how much a new air conditioner would cost and how much a new air conditioner plus furnace would cost me. The agreement states if I bought a new air conditioner and/or furnace then it is written from [redacted] that my 50.00 service call would be taken off the cost of the new air conditioner and furnace. Furthermore, Master Tech sent me forms to fill out so I could get a year to 18 months interest free financing on a new air conditioner and furnace. That same day [redacted] called me late in the afternoon to see if I had filled out the forms and when did I want to install my new air conditioner and furnace for 6200.00 for both. I received nothing for 50.00 from Master Tech except to waste my time and try to sell me a new air conditioner and furnace. My air conditioner only needed a capacitor not a condensing motor and I certainly did not need a new air conditioner or furnace. [redacted] misdiagnosed the repair of my air conditioner and first tried to sell me a motor for 954.00. and then [redacted] thought it best not to repair the air conditioner but to replace it and the furnace. I called another company who came out the next morning and said I did not need a motor or condensing fan and for 95.00 replaced the capacitor. Fifteen minutes later I had air conditioning. When I called Master Tech to refund my 50.00 -[redacted] at Master Tech made it a worse situation. First [redacted] said he would credit my account 50.00 but if my air conditioner crapped out the next week - would I be honest and return the 50.00? [redacted] said a capacitor was not going to fix the problem, that it was only a bandaid. I told him if the air conditioner broke in the next couple of weeks or so - I would give him back his $50.00. I thought our conversation was over and [redacted] was refunding me my $50.00. However, [redacted] said he had another question for me - he asked if I respected him. I didn't understand the question. [redacted] said we came and looked at your air conditioner and you have to respect me and the tech's time. I said you both are wasting my time - by misdiagnosing the repair of my air conditioner and trying to sell me a new one. [redacted] said if you went to a doctor and he misdiagnosed you - you would still have to pay him. I said a doctor has a degree and there is a difference between a human body and an air conditioner. [redacted] said we have degrees here and if you don't say you respect me then I have changed my mind and I won't refund you your $50.00, I wouldn't say I respected him so [redacted] said he would not refund my $50.00. I stayed home from work for nothing because Master Tech mis-diagnosed my air conditioner and tried to sell me another air conditioner plus a furnace. The 2nd company came out first thing the next morning and fixed my air conditioner in 15 minutes and I was off to work! Hence I am writing this letter to the Revdex.com to have Master Tech credit my charge $50.00 for no service and not cleaning the air conditioner. I can fax the service call from Master Tech that states they cleaned and checked my air conditioner- which they did not. I can fax the service agreement from Master Tech which states what a new air conditioner and furnace would cost me. I can fax the forms Master Tech wanted me to fill out to finance interest free my new air conditioner and furnace. Thank you for your time in this matter. [redacted]

This complaint is based on pricing and we will no longer discus it. They are trying to get free work from us because they dont like our prices! There was no mistakes made. The story they are telling is completely made up!

This is one of the worst run business I have dealt with! There are so many issues I had with this firm, it is hard to imagine,
1) They came and quoted me for a new roof top furnace. The next day they called and said they miss quoted me and the cost was higher. They did offer me at the quoted rate for 3 days.
2) When they showed up to install the unit, they could not install it as they planned and needed a scissor lift, which they wanted me to pay for. I had to split the cost with them...additional $200. Which I had to give a credit card for immediately!
3) They send me a final invoice over the amount that was quoted, and mark it paid.
4) They call me one year later, and tell me they never got the payment, and then, without my approval, the recharge my credit card!!

I would avoid this company at all costs.

My 30 year old A/C unit failed last night. I called Master Tech at 10:30 PM and it was agreed we could wait until this morning for a technician to come to the house. I asked the technician for a complete A/C unit replacement. He made some measurements of the house and windows then came up with a suggestion for replacement. He explained in detail the specifications of the new unit. We decided on the unit and he left to go get the unit in another city. He was back in 1+45 hours with a helper and the unit. Within an hour two more technicians showed up and all four were working on the installation. The new unit was up and running by 1:00 PM and completely checked for any faults. It passed inspection and the house was cooling down quickly from its 89 degree indoor reading. I was completely satisfied with the interaction with all of the people involved in the replacement installation as well as the care they took when working both in and outdoors. A very positive experience.

Knowledgeable, friendly and prices just right. If your looking for an honest & skilled ac repair company, Master Tech is it! From the person who answered my call to the service tech that solved my problem, I received excellent customer service. They took the time to explain the problem and solution to me. I will call Master Tech this fall for my furnace tune-up and refer all of my family and friends to them. Give Master Tech a try and see how they put the customer 1st, I promise you wont be disappointed!
