In March/April, I did send a crew to ***'s house to address the issue he had with the stain. He wasn't happy with the method the crew was going to do. He then stated that he wasn't happy with the color. He didn't think that was the color he had chosen. It is the color and unfortunately, there is always a slight variation to what is on the color chart and what the "real" look is. He stated that he wanted a different color. I am not going to remove the existing color and replace with a color that he likes better at no charge. That is not part of the guarantee. I will not charge for the labor but he will have to pay for the materials if that is the route he wants to go.

I think that is fair. If not, then I will have a crew there to fix the areas where the stain is peeling at no charge. I guaranteed that and I will stand behind my guarantee.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
When they sent a crew to inspect the faulty paint, that crew agreed the finish needed to be entirely removed and repainted. They actually scheduled this then cancelled the day they were to come (said their employees didn't show for work). After that, they didn't respond to any
communications. I've asked experts what happened here. They indicated the concrete needed to cure before being painted. That they did not do. Also, the concrete needed to be prepped (Etched) before painting. That they also did not do.
I would agree to have them return and totally remove the defective finish from the driveway. I will handle proper prep and repainting myself. They need to schedule this sooner rather than later as it has already been almost four months. I can send pictures and copies of correspondences if required.

The company failed to fix driveway sealant ruined by Bobcat used to pick up tree debris.
Mastercare took ten trees down on our property between Aug. 15-19, 2019. The Bobcat used to pick up debris scraped sealant from our asphalt driveway. We had just had the sealant applied the previous month. (July, 2019). We were told by K.C. that their company would replace it for free when they returned to complete a French Drain System. Neither the French Drain nor the driveway repair has yet to be done. Our phone messages have not been returned. After these past 8 months without proper sealant, the driveway was deteriorating, therefore, we paid $400 for it to be resealed.

Desired Outcome

Jimmy H at Atlantic Sealcoating repaired our driveway on May 7, 2020. We would like Mastercare, Inc. to reimburse us the $400.00 we paid to fix the damage made by their Bobcat. His telephone number is 843-685-8537 www.Atlanticsealcoating.com

Mastercare damaged our artificial turf while performing tree trimming and removal. They agreed to pay for repair but has not reimbursed us to-date.
Mastercare performing tree trimming in our backyard at the end of May 2019. The day after my wife discovered burn holes in our artificial turf and sent a text to the company with pictures on May 31. They indicated they knew nothing about artificial turn and ask for us to get the installer to repair and advise the cost. On June 19th my wife sent a picture of the invoice for repair ($400). No response. On June 29th sent another text inquiring when they would be settling the amount. No response. On Aug 26th another text sent inquiring about the reimbursement. Received a text back from *** indicating her Mom had passed away and she had with dealing with that situation. Inquired if we were OK with her sending a check for $200 on Friday and another check for $200 the following week. We agreed. No check(s) received. Sent another text on Sept 6th inquiring about the checks. *** indicated she sent out the first payment but it was probably delayed due to Hurricane Dorian. She would check into and reissue a new check. I questioned if at the point it would be for the full $400. She indicated Yes. No check received. Sent another text on Sept 23rd. No response. My wife called *** and spoke to her two weeks later and *** indicated s he would sent a check out that day. No check. Another text sent Oct 17th asking about payment. No response. I called and left a message on their machine in November indicating we expect them to pay for this damage. No response. This company had the nerve to attach a Certificate of Liability Insurance with their quote! We have saved all of the texts and can send them to you if you feel it would be helpful.

Desired Outcome

We wish to get reimbursed for the cost to repair the damaged they caused in the amount of $400

A check was received from a Mastercare yesterday to settle what was owed. I greatly appreciate all of the help Revdex.com provided in resolving this issue.

Never finished the job. Wont return calls. Broke the contract.
Horrible! Another company, that went out of business, left our yard a mess. We called them to finish grinding down the stumps, clean up the debris and fix the lawn damage. The gentleman who came to grind the stumps was very good, but he said a crew would come to remove the debris so he could see if he needed to do more grinding. Every came back. Said they would fill in the holes left by the other company and sod the bare areas. Never came. I've called - I've emailed, and it's been over a month. I have 6 recorded calls to them asking to please call us to discuss the matter. Nothing. We will be filing in court to get our deposit back, because they never finished even one part of the job. We have a contract - they broke it.

Desired Outcome

Grinding, debris removal, sodding and filling holes were all listed in our contract. They didn't even finish one of the items. We want our $500 deposit back.

Replacement of 2 dead palm trees according to there 1 year guarnteed contract within a reasonable time frame.
We bought 2 palm trees in April 2018 and paid $600.00. Three months after planted they died. Our 1st txt to them on July 27, 2018 asking for replacement per there 1 year gaurantee. Since then we have txt, called, emails probally 10 times with NO Response. Did get kc to the house once to see the trees only because he was in the area and I saw him and stopped. At that time I also asked for an estimate on pouring a 12' x 12' concrete pad. His est was written a business card and you guess it, NO Response. Had 2 new replacements tagged over 3 months. Last promised March 16th or 18th then the rain card was played. NO response since. Now, our warranty has expired, what a surprise, right. A couple of weeks ago I sent them a email requesting $300.00 (50%) back and again, NO Response. There mission Statement is just Words no meaning hiring an extra service rep. didn't improve things and why have a guarantee if they don't back it. Don't get why people are still doing business with them other than they do have reasonable prices if you can get them to complete the work. I went with another palm tree business, tagged 2 trees on a Thursday and installed on Friday ! They did charge me $150.00 to remove MasterCare's 2 dead palm trees.

Desired Outcome

We now have $750.00 invested in Two dead palm trees and nothing to show for this business transaction. We are just asking for 50% or $300.00 back which we feel is very reasonable and move on. The email sent to the owners stated our name, address and phone # so a check could be mailed. Again, No Response.

Clear a lot next to my house drove there trucks across my front yard a tore up my back yard a has not been fixed will be filing a law suit against mastercare tree service not recommended to use

Deposit given for sod installation. Work was delayed multiple times , never done, and business refused to refund my $1700 deposit.
Mastercare Tree Service did some tree work for me. That job went well. I was quoted a price to resod the lawn, agreed and gave a $1700 deposit for the work. 2 employees came out the next day and cut the grass down to the dirt. Then nothing else happened. After almost 3 months and still no sod (or date for the work to be done) I requested a refund and hired another service, who did the work immediately.
Mastercare only offered a partial refund ($750, considering the initial grass cutting worth $950) IN AUGUST, and as of this date, despite multiple Emails, I have not received 1 cent of my $1700 deposit.
I have even had Email responses from them: I was told once that the check was sent, then there were family issues on their end, then deaths in the family. This has gone on for 6 months!!!

The listed business address is an equipment storage building which has no staff there. They operate out of their Queens Harbor home at 3531 Queens Harbor Blvd. They are *** and

Desired Outcome

I seek a full refund ($1700) as the limited prep work (weed-whacking the grass) did absolutely nothing (it all grew back) and had to be re-done by the service that actually completed the job.

Did not complete work as promised. Will not return calls.
I had 5 trees trimmed and one tree taken down. The grinding of the stump would be done later( per the people doing the work) , since they were behind schedule. It has been one month now and I have called the office 6 times, so far I have not received one call back. I need to order sod for my yard and the lack of communications from Mastercare is totally unprofessional.

Desired Outcome

I want them to call me and give me a date for the stump to be ground, so I can order sod for my yard.

He was contacted this afternoon to arrange a
Time for the stump grinding

MasterCare started our project in early January. They have not finished our job despite numerous inquiries and will not respond in a timely fashion.
MasterCare was hired to do a variety of jobs at our home here in Pawleys Island, including tear out of existing driveway and sidewalk, replacing same with new concrete (along with stamping, staining, etc.) transplanting several bushes, pick-up and installation of several plants from True Blue Nursery, and general clean up upon completion of job.
MasterCare requires a 50% down payment to start, a second draw (if required) and balance upon completion. MasterCare was given a 50% down payment of $7800 thru a credit card to start the job. They requested a second draw of $3000 (which was paid again thru the same credit card they had kept on file. A third charge of $3905 was made to our same credit card (WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION) for the outstanding balance. This charge was made with NO knowledge whatsoever. The job IS NOT completed!!!
The staining and painting of the concrete has NOT been done.
There was debris left all over the yard.
Several of the transplanted bushes are either dead or dying.
An entire row of bushes has been choked out due to concrete dust left on them without rinsing off before leaving the premises.
MasterCare has been contacted many times via email to ascertain when the job will be completed. The responses we receive have neither been accurate or informative.
MasterCare DOES NOT return phone calls!!!
There is also a $900 tree credit that MasterCare has conveniently kept claiming they *** return the credit once the job is completed.
We are having extensive work done at our property and other contractors are waiting to start once MasterCare is finished. We seem to be at an impasse as MasterCare will not respond appropriately to our inquiries as to when they will finish up.

Desired Outcome

To finish the job!

Mastercare Contracting Response • Mar 03, 2018

In January 2018 we did start a project for Mr. & Mrs.. We completed the work on or around Jan. 18/19. All of the work on the proposal that was signed by Mr. was completed except for palm tree installation and another tree that was to be planted. Mr. and his wife decided not to do those two items but everything else has been completed. They owe us a grand total of $3,505. Yes, we did charge their credit card the balance when we were finished with the work but they have now disputed the charges, the money has been debited out of our account, and they now owe us $3,505.

The staining of the concrete is something we are doing for them at no charge. It isn't listed on the proposal but was discussed. They made the selection as to what color they want. They were both informed that concrete needs 30 days to cure before you can do this. The 30 days is up but now we have the weather issue. There has been rain, wind, and cool temperatures that have also delayed the staining. This is out of our control. We had a date set for Feb 26 but had to cancel all week because of the weather. We need to have 3 days of good weather.

We don't have an issue doing the staining work for them (it is being done at no charge) but we feel that they need to pay us for what was completed.

Customer Response • Mar 16, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
MasterCare responded to my complaint to the Revdex.com with a written statement and an altered proposal of the job, that I do not recall signing. It would appear they are unaware that it is against the law in this country to make an unauthorized transaction on a credit card. Not only did they make an unauthorized transaction but they failed to notify me of the transaction.
I learned of the transaction when I called Discover to check my balance four days after it occurred. At that time I learned that the transaction put me over my credit limit. They admit to having charged my credit card $3,505.00. That is incorrect. They charged the card. $3,905. The transaction date was Jan 17, 2018.
Item C - tree delivered and installed $900.00 was to be omitted, it has not been removed.
Looking down the left hand side of the proposal you *** see Grand Total $15,805.00
Deposit -$7,800.00 (1/6)
Balance $8,005.00
No where is the second draw of $3,000.00 listed.
We were told that the scalloped bricks that were removed would be pressure washed and stacked on the side yard. Debris which included chunks of cement were left about the lawn.
We ended up paying to have both the bricks and cement removed from the lawn.
Item B - Transplanting plants and installing one tree and one shrub. $2,000 labor. There were five plants that were transplanted ranging in size from one foot to five feet. The holly bush died after being transplanted. It is still sitting in the place it was transplanted too. This needs adjusting.
Although there is an attempt here to say they are giving us a gift of the staining, charcoal release, sure grip, this was proposed by ***, aka KC *** when he initially
came to our home and recommended Increte as the product that would "tie together the brick house with the walkway and driveway". Please note that the specific products to be used
are handwritten on the proposal. It seems strangely odd that in giving us this "gift" they kept $500.00.

To address the companies statement to the Revdex.com: They are correct that we disputed the charges with Discover and the $3,905 taken without authorization on 1/17/18 is now back in my account.
On Jan. 22 we were informed via E-Mail from *** that the stain would be in either the 24th or 25th. And, that the job would be completed within a few days. Within a couple of
days one of the guys who had worked on the transplanting job arrived and asked me for the list of products to be used. I don't remember his name but we do have photos of him if
needed. He left with the list stating he would be back shortly. He returned and stated that he had read the container and it stated to allow the cement to cure for 30 days before
applying. That was how we learned about the cure time.

The Mission Statement of MasterCare states that they are "all about about customer service, integrity, honesty, and giving our customers the highest standards of professionalism". ***, President of the company had been here three times within a two week time period to guide us through the process of preparing for the job. He was last seen here on
January 6,2018 when he collected the credit card information and headed off into the sunset. He has not so much as even called. He needs to follow-up when customers have
concerns. Not once has he returned to this job site. So many of the complaints voiced to the Revdex.com speak to what we are saying. Calls without a response, proposals written on business cards (we still have ours).

Having called Increte and spoken with one of their Reps., we are left in a quandary about having MasterCare complete this job. MasterCare's employee had to read the container to learn that the cement needed to cure for 30 days before staining. We are told by Increte that depending on how the stamping was done, the cement may need an acid wash to open the pores of of the cement so it *** hold the stain. The Increte Rep. commented that the worse case scenario might be that the cement needs to be removed and the job redone. We need to know
that MasterCare *** completed the job they were hired to do and back the work with a guarantee that this job *** look beautiful for years to come. We are aware there is a balance due
on completion.

Mastercare Contracting Response • Jun 05, 2018

There is nothing wrong with the concrete poured or the stamping pattern used. There was no fraudulent contract submitted at any time.
I *** follow thru with the remainder of the contract and stain what was agreed.

Customer Response • Jun 12, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
MasterCare would like you to believe there is nothing wrong with the concrete/stamping. We have submitted pictures to support the inconsistencies in both the stamping and depth of the concrete. We are now seeing cracks appear in various places and would be happy to furnish pictures of those as well. This from a company that advertises "no cracks guaranteed". Isn't it strange, odd, and perplexing that MasterCare has not returned one time to the job site to inspect their own work.We are waiting for an inspector to arrive from Columbia to determine if the entire pour is a catastrophe. If so, we *** pursue legal action for total reimbursement.
