As a tennant I did not have any choice who the landlord usedWhen it came time to move out and get a security deposit back it was very frustrating working with themTo date it has been days and counting without the security deposit backThey are hard to reach, slow to respond, and not helpful; in providing details as to where the actual security deposit is I would not recommend using them, or if a renter, staying away from them as a rental

I would not recommend using them, or if a renter, staying away from them as a rental

I am a single Mom of three and used Red line to rent a home for my kids and IRight from the start I had issues
When I was to meet the rental agent to move in and do the walk through she totally forgot about me and I had to send several messages asking if she was still meeting meShe explained she had forgotten because she had a house showing that day
When she arrived we did the walk through, and pictures were takenWhen I complained several times about how dirty the walls and base boards and blinds were I was told that is why she is putting it only in fair conditionI was also told the inspection would be available online in the portalNEVER HAPPENED!
In July I spoke to a different lady in the company explaining the back deck was rotting and unsafeBecause I was having some banking issues and I was not working at the time I was a little behind in rentMind you not the full amountEither way because I was behind she did not want to bring it to the house owners attentionMy daughter ended up with stitches over the course of the year due to a nail sticking out where the wood was rotting
During the same conversation though I was asked if I was running a daycare from my home because my son's stroller was outside and the house owner had seen it
In May our hot water tank leaked and they sent a plumber to fix itThere was mold in the furnace room and closetAfter I called *** *** *** to come see it to make sure my children were safe they cam to inspect the houseI learned from the *** inspector that the home did not meet many rental standards and the deck I complained about was one of them
When I moved out we made arrangements to do a move out inspectionWe were to meet at 4:due to deerfoot traffic I arrived at 4:maybe 4:at the very latest and I never arrive later than 5:because I pick my son up at the day home next doorNo one was thereI had no number to contact herI thought maybe there was a miscommunication so I went back the following dayWhich is where I learned the house owners son was back staying in the houseBEFORE I did my move out inspection
When dropping my son off on June 2, I notice the son is still in the houseWhen I get to work I send the move out inspector an email questioning what happened and I did not receive a responseWhen I picked my son up on June 2, at 4:I noticed there were cleaners in the house as well as the son stillI am very concerned but they don't work over the weekend
I send another email on June 5, no reply AGAINOn June 6, I finally get a response from someone else telling me they have until June 9th to give me a statement of accountWait how can you give me a statement of account when you didn't even do the final inspection with me?
June 9, I get a statement of account saying they are keeping my Are you kidding meI am a single Mom there were no damages, what little things were wrong is from the house owner, but I wasn't given the opportunity to see the final inspection or the move in inspection
I tell them I am filing a formal complaint but even that took several emails to get a reply backI still haven't heard from Brett *** who I have tried to contact multiple timesThe person doing the investigation is the same person I have been dealing with the whole timeHow do you do a unbiased investigation on yourself and co worker?
June 15, I get a copy of the move in inspection that is one page and they have lost the pictures(This was suppose to be posted and given to me once completed) and a copy of the move out inspectionwhich was pages with picturesIf they had the pictures from the move in inspection they would see it is very much the sameAlso the statement of account and things they are charging me for don't match the move out inspection
I am not sure how you can take any of my damage deposit without the proper move in report and without doing a proper move out inspection and not involve me or give me a copy until I state I am filing a formal complaintI made several attempts to do the move out inspection and was ignored!
They do not care about the renter or their rights and they will make up charges and not follow RTA standards
