Matchbox Restaurant

Dear Matchbox Corporate Team,
I am writing to share my disappointment with the service I experienced at your Matchbox restaurant in Sawgrass Mills on Veterans Day.
My party of five waited over 20 minutes for drinks on two separate occasions during our visit. Our server, Enrique, did his best, but it was clear the restaurant was severely understaffed. When I asked to speak with the manager, she informed me that they were short on staff because she had not paid for additional coverage despite knowing it was a national holiday and there would be an influx of guests.
As a guest, I found this explanation concerning. Veterans Day is a busy time for restaurants nationwide, and guests should not have to experience such long delays for basic service.
I am sharing this feedback in hopes that corporate management will address the staffing and management practices at this location to ensure future guests receive the level of service that Matchbox is known for.
