The client, *** *** of *** ***, contacted us to design her website. She required that we base the site on a previous version of the site that she provided us. But she did not state that she required an exact duplicate of that site. She signed a contract for one year, at
$per month, with the first payment due immediately, which she paidThere remains an outstanding unpaid balance in the amount of $for the remaining months of the agreement. After we had completed an initial demo, she visited our office, and stated her dissatisfaction with the progress of the work, and gave us instructions on the revisions that she desiredIt was at this point that she indicated that she wanted the site to look exactly like the sample site that she had shown us. We offered to make whatever modifications were needed at no additional cost.We were in the midst of fulfilling her wishes when she pulled the plug on the projectShe wanted us to turn over the work that we had done to her, so that she could take it to someone else to complete. We stated that we could do this once she had paid the balance of the contract which comes to $439.45, which was the balance remaining in the 12-month contract, as is standard with our WebFast Web Design Plan, seen at ***. After all, we had provided this client with a finished product, into which much work had gone. Regardless of her satisfaction or dissatisfaction, the client could not simply walk off with a finished product without paying for it, according to the contract. Once she honored the terms of the contract, the product would have been hers, free and clear, to with what she wanted, and make whatever alterations she desired. Alternatively, she could have let us complete the revisions that she desired. However, she chose to take neither of these options, instead deciding to grab an imperfect sample of our work (without paying for it!) to take to someone else for further use and modification. So, I ask you this: who’s scamming whom?

Russ M[redacted] is not telling the truth. From our first initial meeting, I explained to him the severity of how important it is to me for the website to mimic the demo I provided exactly. He kept saying he could do so and make it "even better". I did pay the first payment of 39.95 because he stressed that he was a professional, and has been in business for years. I trusted him to provide me with exceptional quality however was presented with a power point presentation. After seeing the first draft, I was NOT pleased at all. The layout was different, nothing was done the same, he kept complaining that some things he couldn't do because he used a basic layout. After that was said, I told him I did not like the layout and again, everything should be done the same way as the demo I provided. We actually went through each demo, the one I provided and his first draft. Each page , I explained that I wanted everything the same. He then said he might have to charge me for the additional codes he had to find to make the website exactly the same. At first I was not happy, I felt as if that should be his problem and not mine since he said he could do anything for 39.95 a month. However, later he said there were no additional fees. After that , he sent the second draft... And with that, I was still not happy. I needed the website to be done at a specific time, for my business to start creating revenue. He then told me, there was no time frame for him and shouldn't have to rush. In his statement, he said I asked for his demo to give to another web designer to complete the website. That isn't true. I still have the original demo I proved for him.  With that said I do not need his demo at all. And I do not feel I should pay the remaining balance if I am not happy with his work.

Orchid Aesthetics Medical Spa and Laser Center according to the terms of our agreement. Orchid Aesthetics Medical Spa and Laser Center has refused to honor the terms of our agreement and has not paid the debt amount of $2,362.50. Project deliverables were sent to the client, as well as receipts for materials that we purchased on behalf of the client. The client has not paid for any of the services that our company rendered under the terms of our agreement.

It’s not that I didn’t do what what I promised [redacted]. She didn’t give me a chance to fulfill my promise. She should understand that designing a website is a back-and-forth process, requiring give-and-take communication. No one should expect a finished product the first time around; the second time is no guarantee, either. Not until every idea has been explored and exhausted can anyone declare that every attempt was made to complete a project. In this case, sometime between the second and third attempts, she suspended the project. As you can see by the screenshot of the past example, this was much more than a Powerpoint presentation, as [redacted] seems to think.

Review: We contracted Mate Media to host and maintain our website for a fee more than one year ago. In October 2014 we requested them to make [redacted] website improvements, detailed into a contract and expected to see theses improvements done as we received our first bill early December. The bill for services we received in December did not give details about the work completed and we requested to see either the work done or details about the bill. Mate media refused to give us any details about how the bill was composed, and decided, on December [redacted] to suspend our website. The website has been at all time our property and we feel Mate Media issued a fraudulent bill and more committed theft by taking possession of our property. Our business has been significantly impaired due to the actions of Mate media.Desired Settlement: We would like to have our website restored and be compensated for the loss and suffering of the business due to the abusive behavior of Mate Media( aprox 10,000). We are willing to pay services completed that can be documented with proof. In spite of us paying hosting fees( documented with invoices paid) Mate Media abusively suspended our website with no contractual or lawful right to do so.

Review: I went to this company (Mate Media) because I went to another, prior for a web design. However, It turned out to be a scam. I asked the guy (Russ M[redacted]) at the company if he can help me fix the website. I still had the demo design that I wanted originally. He was supposed to duplicate it (exactly how the demo was) I was told to just pay 39.95 for him to get started. after payment, he stated he would have the demo ready in a few weeks. after reviewing the demo, I stated to Russ that I wasn't pleased with the quality of the potential website. Again, I brought it to his attention that I wanted him to copy the original demo exactly. He then sent another demo of the things that were to be fixed from his first demo presented to me. Still, I wasn't satisfied. I explained to Russ I wasn't satisfied again with his work. as a result, he sent a bill that required me to pay for the entire website.Desired Settlement: Due to the fact that I was not satisfied with his work, I do not feel like I have to pay for the entire website which is approximately $500.00. I am not satisfied with the sample that he gave and do not want the website at all.
