Review: Mathew RubyCertified Financial planner[redacted]###-###-#### - CellSummary:I have been doing business with [redacted] for over five years. For the first three years [redacted] was engaged, and provided valuable advice and worked with me to purchase bonds, set overall allocations, and monitor our progress. He also provided hard cover quarterly updates with our progress. Starting in 2012 [redacted] became less and less engaged. It finally became an issue in 2013 and I had several conversations with [redacted] and several e-mails were sent to him voicing these concerns. In early 2013 I continued to voice my concerns over his lack of engagement. I was not receiving quarterly updates; my allocations were not being reviewed. The only thing I would get were long e-mails with his philosophy of the market and limited actionable items. Because of our long relationship I once again sent him a note in December of 2013; he replied and agreed to be more proactive in 2014. All along I continue to pay his quarterly fee. 2014 was even worst then the other years. I have not purchased a mutual fund, sold a mutual fund, stock or bond in the last two years based on a suggestion from [redacted]. This finally reached a climax with the phone calls and e-mails this December, 2014. He stated:1.He no longer wants to handle complex accounts like mine2.That he has been at fault and not provided what I have been asking for3.That what I am asking for from a financial adviser is very reasonable. I stated [redacted] am I being unreasonable with what I am asking, he said absolutely not.4.That said then why for the last two years have you not been providing this?5.He stated that after the last market collapse he could not get is head back in the game.6.I said but I have been relying on you to do these things. He stated people whine down differently.7.He went on to say he would rather just deal with seniors and retired people where he just has to go into their accounts and buy some bonds.8.We agreed that he would look at my portfolio one more time and he would call me for one last review. He never called me or did the analysis.9.I told [redacted] that I have been complaining about his lack of support but still paying him for the last two years, He said I know but I just came to this realizationI am registering this complaint to protect others from what I have had to deal with and to insure that his current clients are not being taken advantage of like I was.

This excludes at least one point in portfolio growth (and that is conservative) that had it been actively managed would have generated at least $11,000 in growth based on a blended return.
