Mr [redacted] has taken the correct path with Chrysler, hopefully the Chrysler Corporation can satisfy his request, once again we value Mr [redacted] as a customer and we also value his family who have been longtime clients, his request are just outside of what we here at Mathews Dodge could do ThankyouTom [redacted]

This complaint is on a air conditioning hose that was not properly hooked up at the factory, this is on a vehicle that was delivered on a Saturday to Mr***, the problem with this vehicle was noticed by the customer on Sunday and it was pouring water on the passenger floor while the air conditioning was runningCustomer called in on Monday we have a area Water leak technician that only comes in to the Marion location on Wednesdays so we scheduled Mr [redacted] on that day(at this point we thought it might be from saturdays rain storm)Once the vehicle arrived at the dealership on Wednesday we immediatley repaired the hose and the vehicle was fixedCustomer is wanting compensated his six hundred dollar down payment for his troubles and would also like a new vehicle, this request was not granted and is why he is upsetIt is unfortunate that this occured and luckily nobody was hurt or left stranded along the side of the road and the dealership was very apologetic however just repairing the problem is "just not good enough" the customer feels as if though he should be entitled to a monetary compensationWe value the customers business however his request is just outside of our interest and he must have perceived that as being rude, I will reiterate that we value him as a customer and assure him that if given the opportunity we will offer him great service in the future.Thankyou

I have had the repairs done I had the codes checked and the reading was fault, pending which implies said business knew of problems of thermostat, transmission cooling line was leaking and windshield wiper pump (rear) was broken I don't need anything from Matthews dodge They can say anything they want about the issues of the vehicle they sold I don't have anything to gain by not telling the truth Just want others to know the way they conduct businessThank you

the details contained in the response are not accurate betrayal of events that occurredWhen my wife called on Monday AM after having a leaking car for two days, she was told that nothing could be done until WednesdayShe was told that the leaking was probably due to "all the rain we had over the weekend"She expressed that if a brand new car was going to leak when it rained she wanted to return the car, we were within hours of the purchase we want to return the car for a new oneThis is the only time a new car was requestedAfter she researched online how to invoke our right to return the vehicle, she learned that the "cooling off" period law was no longer in effectIt was at that time that she accepted the fact we had to deal with this situation and accepted the service appointmentAt the time when the appointment was scheduled on Monday morning, for a Wednesday appointment, she as directed NOT to use the air conditioning system for the next couple of days until the car was able to be repairedIf they still thought the leak was due to rain, why no air conditioning? Regardless, she went to the store, purchased rubber floor mats to allow the leaking water to gather on the mat and try to protect the floor of our NEW vehicleIn addition to having to go out of her way to do this, she then had to take time off work on Wednesday morning to take the car into the dealership, believing that someone from the sales team would want to talk to herShe dropped the car off to serviceNo arrangements had been made for a loaner car, despite her request made directly to the sales rep, the day beforeThey did honor the request for the loaner car, but gave it to her with less than a half a tank of gasIt was while she was waiting for the loaner car that she expressed further dissatisfaction with how the situation was being handledShe shared with them what had happened just one and a half years ago when we bought a new truck for the same sales person: the team member that completed the paperwork had made a mistake that was preventing Mathews Dodge from closing their sale. During this situation, the team member from Mathews was in need of her signature so badly, he drove over an hour to her place of business to accommodate his need take care of what THEY neededThis benefitted only Mathews Dodge. Now that we, the customer, were in need of help, we were having to be the only people inconveniencedMathews Dodge got our moneyWe got a leaking car, money spent for floor mats to protect the floor from more damage, gas expense to and from the dealership, time off work, added mileage on the new car to and from the dealership, and the inconvenience of not using air conditioning for two days (despite the fact we purchased a car with air conditioning for a reason)There is a value to all of this.We were offered three free oil changesThis was found to be unacceptable because, again, we were expected to do something for Mathews Dodge, WE are going to have to take the vehicle to themWe were expecting something that would not involve any more effort from our sideMr*** is correct in stating that I asked for my down payment back, but not in addition to a new carThe justification in asking for the down payment back was the calculation of expenses put forth (gas/ wear & tear/ vacation time my wife/ inconvenience). This request was declined, however, this is not the reason I submitted the complaint to the Revdex.comMy complaint was due to the behavior of Mr***His lack of professionalism was astonishing to meThe statement that solidified my decision to post this complaint was when he said "even if you were entitled to a new car, which is never going to happen, and I had a car just like yours on the lot, you would never get itCome get your car." My wife and I went to Mathews Dodge last night to pick up the repaired vehicleWe were there at the same time as my in-laws, who have purchased over vehicles from this dealership and had paid a considerable amount of money with their service groupThey requested to speak to their sales rep along with the rep we usedThey shared their concern with the lack of professionalism demonstrated with this eventThey brought their sales person into the conversation to make sure that he knew that the unprofessional behavior exhibited from the general manager could cost him their business as well as ours. It should be noted that when we went to pick up the vehicle that had been in the service department for over a day and a half, despite the fact that they pulled back carpet to dry it out, no one had swept out the car, and the detailing was poorly doneSticker residue was still present throughout the car.We have contacted Chrylser directly, based on a request for satisfaction surveyThey are reviewing our case, for possible car replacement

I have made it clear that I
understand this car is as isI Would appreciate it if any part of my complaint was addressedI did take the truck on a test drive, and I mentioned the flat tire to one of your sales managers, Greg C***He took the truck back and refilled it with airTo me this is not fixing the issue, but putting a band-aid on it so that I would think it is fixedThis truck has had many repairs that I have had to fixWhich I am not expecting a perfect truck, like you said it is almost years oldAt a price of I would expect to be able to safely drive a car off your lot, and if there was a safety issue I would think you guys would've told me ahead of time so I would know what to expect and that it is not safe to driveMy problem is, and why I am complaining is the deceitfulness of your employee and the disregard of safety your company showsI was told that your company does not perform any kind of inspection on "older" vehiclesI find that hard to believe and if it is true I think that is a very unsafe practice and a liability issue on your partIt would not look good if I was on a test drive and we get in a car accident because one of your vehicles was not not inspectedI just expected more out of a dealership like MathewsI feel like I was discriminated against because of my age and I feel I still amIt was like your salesman thought he could rush me in and out and lie to me because I am just a "kid"I think your response was super unprofessional because it answered none of my concernsAgain I realize the car is as isSomething that is broke for example is the heater coreThis is something I would classify more as an as is thing because it is not a safety issueEven though it is an expensive fixI was hoping your dealership would be a place I could trust in the future since I am a year old "kid" I have a great credit scoreAccording to your financial office, best they have seen at my ageIf everything went well I was going to make my next purchase with your companyI was also testing the dealership out for my parents as they are looking for a car to buy from a trustworthy dealerWe really, really enjoyed Mathews in Newark and thought we would have the same kind of service at Mathews in MarionAll that I am asking is for a response that addresses my first complaint and this message and some kind of accountability for selling a truck or any car off your lot that has not been inspected once and is a risk for the person driving it and the people around it

THE SALE PRICE ON THIS UNIT WAS 3890 AND IT WAS SOLD AS IS, THERE WAS NO ERASING OF CODES TO DECIEVE THE CUSTOMER AND THE FIRST STEP WOULD HAVE BEEN TO CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP AND LET THEM KNOW THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM  SO THAT IT COULD HAVE BEEN RESOLVED BUT INSTEAD WE HEARD NOTHING UNTIL AFTER...

THE CUSTOMER REPAIRED THE VEHICLE AND NOW WANTS REIMBURSED.

Revdex.com,The vehicle approaching 18 years old and being sold as is was clearly explained to the customer at time of purchase, there was plenty of opportunity for the purchaser to take the vehicle on a test drive and inspect the vehicle before purchase.Thank-youTom W[redacted]
