this complaint to this business and , as the representative from this organization reports, the customer has been contacted and the matter is being resolved.   Therefore, I believe this concludes this matter and if you need any further information from me, please advise.

Review: I purchased the newest Mathews Creed Compound Bow. After shooting it approx. 30 times, the Bow blew up while I was drawing it back. I called Mathews and took it back to my local dealer, Whitetail County in Olean, NY. The next aggreed step was to give me a new bow and the local shop did so and I took it home. Upon the first time pulling this new bow back it blew up in my face again. This is very dangerous. I had a welt on my chest from the string hitting it at such force. It nearly missed my face and eyes.

I then took the second defective bow back to the local shop immediately. They then put a new string on this same bow (#2) and asked me to shoot it for them. To no suprise it came apart just as the previous two time and dangerous missed both the shop manager and myself. I called and emailed Mathews several times. I bothered them so much they actually even called me back. They told me they would not authorize a refund and that I was "lucky" they gave me a second bow to try. The said they were going to do nothing for my loss and termoil and that it was up to the store if they wanted to pay out of their pocket to refund me. I am now out over $800, a lot of time, and have a nice welt on my chest. What a great company. NOT!Desired Settlement: Give me my money back!!!! Are you kidding me????

This is a huge joke. This company is selling compound bows that are completely UNSAFE and then they dont want to refund anyone their money. You have got to be kidding me. I want to find out how to file charges with their safety governing division. How do I find out who that is. They arent getting away with this bow blowing apart and injuring me, 3 times! And they not respond to any of my concerns. They havent responded to you, when is it time to do something about it?

This is in response to Letter of Complaint that we received from your office regarding [redacted]. We have completed our investigation into this matter and report the following findings and conclusion. In checking with our Warranty and Service Department, we don’t have a record of either this complaint from Mr. [redacted] or that he sent his bow to us for warranty repair and service. This is the normal process that our retailers follow when there is a question about the integrity of the bow or work to be performed by us under the warranty for the bow. Not having any record of this, our Warranty and Service Department contacted our Retailer , [redacted], to find out if they were aware of this. Mr. [redacted] acknowledged that this customer did in fact purchase this Creed bow from his store and that they didn’t find anything wrong with Mr. [redacted] bow that warranted a warranty notification and return of the bow to us, and gave Mr. [redacted] his money back. Therefore, we had no knowledge nor any participation in the resolution of this matter as the retailer did not notify us nor involve us, which is fully within his discretion. Moreover, the matter appears to have been resolved as our retailer returned the money he paid for this bow.

Review: I belong to a rewards program that bears this companies name. I have used it for several years and accrued a fairly decent amoung of points. I purchased a bow last year and tryed to use the points and get a check back for all the points I had. I never received anything. My points then went on to expire. I asked the company to show me where its states this but I was not provided their policy. I also asked why there was no courtesy correspondance as to my points possibly expiring also no answer. I emailed and left messages for both companies mathews and mathewsrewards program neither got back to me. They also did not provide an aswer as to why I wasnt given a refund when I submitted the request when my points were not expired???. I took a long time to accrue these points and was on top of the site which gave me a bunch of problems throughout the years. In the end im the fool for wasting my time effort and money. This company does not respond when asked to do so for charity. I shouldl have known it wasnt going to respond to me.I think this company thinks that consumers can afford to purchase a new bow/ product every year.Desired Settlement: I d like the refund for the total amount of points I had which was $500 or more. Im reasonable but I shouldnt have to chase a company around. A little comon sense and customer service goes a long way.
