The business American Modern Insurance Group has once again sent this claim in another circleThis is what they have done to me alreadyMy complaint point was that nowhere does the policy that I have been paying for state that a proof of ownership is required for the payment of items mentioned in my loss claimI refuse to be out $2K+ because the business is now requiring me to show proof of ownershipI filed another claim recently for a gas powered dirt bike that was stolen from my vehicle and American Modern Insurance Group did not request proof of ownership on that claimI don't understand this business practiceYou would think that as a paying client, who has never been late on one payment since joining their group, that I would have to settle for being unsatisfied

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Per consumer on 9-24-15, "She has written letters, to try to cancel insurance, and she has been told that only her agent can cancel, however, she has not been in contact with the agent for 1/yearsCan you please cancel the insurance."They sent someone else on September 3rdA person called and said that they was supposed to do another estimate on the home, second opinion, to review the damageHe was here by 8a.m., he did not tell me his name, and did not give me a card, he said American Modern sent me because I live a little closerSo, I brought him into the yard, he got on the roof, and he walked and never squatted down, he just walked and lookedHe never kneeled down and did not use flashlight to look at ridge capHe walked onlyI stayed out in plain sight of him the whole time he was thereWhen he came down off the roof, I will return my report in to the insurance company, and they will get back to you, but I don't know how long that will takeAnd then he left, and I don't remember exactly when, but it was a few days later, and the insurance company when I tried to call them the phone just keeps ringing they do not answer the call from my phone numberI think it was a day or two later that they called me backI kept trying to call them for two or three days, it was third or fourth day from when I started calling, the phone rang and guy said he was from American Modern, and he said your claim has been denied, I'm sorry, and he hung upThe appraiser did not give me a copy, he said that he would send it to the insurance companyI don't know the guy who came out here, he did not give me a card or his name.American Modern sent me something that said claim was denied one timeI called one time and I don't know who I spoke to about status of the claim for damage of trailerI said I was calling to check on a claim, I remember someone else answered the phone, trying to check on status, someone else came on the line, I said this is *** ***, and they immediately said claim has been denied and hung up the phone and did not give any explanation.I want American Modern to come out and fix thisI have mold and damaged carpet, and not a single drop of water has come in, no further damage to spot in ceiling, where water started dripping, but that's where the mold startsI am disappointed that after 1/years of having this insurance policy, and having only one another claim many years ago, and the fact that I have paid them as much money as I have for 1/years, that they should at least pay the required portion according to my insurance policy, and that policy was taken to an attorney for review, and that attorney sent the insurance company a letter, that they needed to pay the claim because it was covered damage.
