What was being told to you is what we tell EVERYONE so that
they know WHY we are not a retail mattress and furniture store and HOW
we are able to offer 50%-80% off retail pricesIn our experience, as
*** and I are consumers and customers as well-that the statement “you get
what
you pay for” normally is trueBut our mattresses and furniture is the
exception to that rule and we like to tell our customersWe do this by
explaining how we are able to access these products and offer them at such low
prices and also how and where we get our products from“I asked if they had any full mattress that's
when this man got rude with me and said loudly "Look I already *** told
you on the phone we have queen and twin on display!" At this point I was
feeling disrespected and told the man "This isn't for me and you have
horrible customer service"” Immediately following
greeting you on arrival and finding out your needs, like we tell everyone that
walks into our business we told you that each and every one of these mattresses
are different types of mattresses and all of our mattresses are available in
EVERY size (Twin, Full, Queen, King) just depends on which one you/the customer
likes bestThis was repeated to you several times, and each time you repeated
your statement, “So..where are the full sizes?” And again it was reiterated to
you that all display mattresses come in full, and depending on which one you
specifically liked, we would check and see if we had that one in stock that day
or if it needed to be ordered, or if it would be on our next deliveryObviously what was being
explained to you did not register nor received wellI assure you we strive to
help our customers find and figure out what they need and do our best to
accommodate those needs the best we canWe do this by informing everyone what
we have available and communicate these optionsAfter that it’s at the
discretion of the customer whether what we have to offer suffices. Unfortunately at this point of this isolated
event, the communication between you and us was regretfully severedFrom our
view point your demeanor became increasingly agitated, irritated, and
aggressiveWhat was most alarming and surprising to us was you making comments
to slander our integrity as a business by making several comments like, “make
sure this sketchy business goes out of business.” We understand that we can’t
make everyone happy, and we are not always going to provide everything each
person wants that walks into our establishmentWhat we do know is that
every person will be treated with dignity and respectPeriodRegretfully this situation
was a situation that was not going to be resolved amicably by youOur
conversation with you was not to your liking, and to what should have been, has
always been, and will continue to respectful and professional to
everyone-did not resonate with you and in fact the tone of your comments,
paired with your increasingly agitated body language; gave us the undeniable
conclusion that this was unresolvable to you and before the lines of
professionalism and respect were crossed, We asked you to please leave our
establishment.Instead of leaving, you
proceeded to continue on with your statements and threats.We asked you to respectfully
leaveWhen you finally walked out of our store you walked out to your car,
stood outside of your car on the phone, yelling, being disruptive and pacing at
the entrance of our store frontAt this point, for the
safety of our customers that would be entering our store, we called the police,
explained the situation, and awaited their arrival.After minutes of you remaining
infront of our store and having a couple customers have to bypass you upon
entering our store, *** opened our door and informed you that the police were
on their way, and to please leave.Instead of leaving, you
moved your car up a few parking spaces in front of a neighboring business.“He and the Asian women then stood up and
started walking towards me yelling obscene profanities at me saying "just
get the F outta here! F you! I'll throw you out if you don't get the F outta
here right now!" I felt scared for my life has he grabbing his side
initiating he was going to pull a weapon of some sorts out.”This statement written by you can only be answered and
explained in one sentenceThis is absolutely NOT trueWe would NEVER nor EVER have nor
EVER will use profanity and address people in this wayIn fact I asked you, “Are you okay? Is there something
bothering you?” trying to figure out why your behavior was projected towards us
in this way and how it contributed to this escalating situation.In addition to this business I am a nurseCaring and keeping people alive and safe is what I do full
time and been doing so for several yearsAnd this frame of mind doesn’t stop
at the hospitalI told him I was calling the cops and did so once I got in my
carThey both kept harassing me has I was on the phone with dispatchTwo
officers showed up and took a report of what happened then told me the owners
want to place a do not trust pass towards me which was fine because I will
never go back there everThis statement was said by you after we informed you that we
notified the police departmentThis being our ONLY further communication with
you or towards you until the officers arrived.It didn't even seem like a legit establishment, no signs or
anything indicating they sold mattresses. As stated, we have been working on our visibility and store
front signsNot including furniture sales, since opening in January 2017, we
have sold over mattressesDesired Settlement:“I nor anyone else should have to go through
something so disturbingAll I wanted was good customer service and a new
mattressI want this business looked into and checked onBecause I didn't buy
a mattress I was verbally harassed ruining my day and making me feel scared for
my lifeNo business owner should ever talk to a potential customer like that
It was beyond unprofessional and dysfunctional.”We apologize that this
situation ever happenedOur intentions are to never have anyone feel that way
regardless of who is at fault or contributed to this type of circumstance.Please
know that genuinely we want nothing more than to make sure that all our customers
not only have a good experience, but also love their new mattresses/furniture
We truly strive to make sure that not only does that happen, but that we do it
with value and integrity and we are passionate about always working towards a
reputation that we can be proud ofThis is the first time in years of being
in business that a situation like this has occurred and are shocked and
saddened by thisYes, we sell mattresses and
furniture and that’s how we make a living, but
the relationships we make with the people that walk into our business,
our home, and those we are surrounded by on a daily basis takes priority over
making moneyThinking and caring for others first is truly the reason why we
have been successful in this business and for that we are more than grateful
