Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I totally disagree with Mattress and More account of actions that took placeFirst, I never discussed with this establishment the purchase of any furniture in the pastI have been in the store once prior to my purchase, but only to price bunkbedsNo, discussion of payments ever took placeOn the day of my purchase 1/30/16, I had recently returned from Florida, where my father had given me $6,So the outright purchase of the item was not a problemMy plan was to go to Dallas and get the items, but decided to buy locallyBig MistakeAgain, at the time of purchase, never was I told that it was a leaseI was told the initial payment of $257.76, plus the nine payments of $= (1513.26) would pay off my purchase of + taxThe amount paid $covers my purchase pricePlus, the additional payment of $139.50, more than covers my purchaseAgain, I say, Mattress and More should decease in the fraudulent way they do business and stop deceiving customersBeing a small business should not be an excuse to lie and steal from local residents Regards, [redacted]

into a lease that in the end charged 60%Option 2, Make an initial payment of approximately lOpercent and more biweekly payments of the same amount then you have optionsReturn merchandise to Tempoe, payoff remaining lump sum balance or continue making the biweekly paymentsOption includes early payoff options 30days, days and daysWe stress these payoff options to all customersYou would only have to pay 5%, 8% or 10% respectively if payed off at those timesIf the term goes beyond days it becomes a leaseWe are a small business we value our customers and that is why we always recommend that they pay off early to avoid it becoming a regular leaseHowever not everyone has the ability to pay a large sum at once so that is why we do have these third party optionsWe have signage throughout the store stating the as low as 5% financingSo if the customer takes his initial payment of and adds the next payments of it would still not add up to the original purchase priceAt this point he is at the end of his month term and has the three optionsIn addition to the print out of the contract that he read and signed that we gave him an email copy would have been sent from the financing companyThank You, *** *** Mattress and More E Hwy Copperas Cove, TX [email protected]

I am rejecting this response because:I totally disagree with Mattress and More account of actions that took place. First, I never discussed with this establishment the purchase of any furniture in the past. I have been in the store once prior to my purchase, but only to price bunkbeds. No, discussion of payments ever took place. On the day of my purchase 1/30/16, I had recently returned from Florida, where my father had given me $6,000. So the outright purchase of the item was not a problem. My plan was to go to Dallas and get the items, but decided to buy locally. Big Mistake. Again, at the time of purchase, never was I told that it was a lease. I was told the initial payment of $257.76, plus the nine payments of $139.50 = (1513.26) would pay off my purchase of 1422.12 + tax. The amount paid $1513.26 covers my purchase price. Plus, the additional payment of $139.50, more than covers my purchase. Again, I say, Mattress and More should decease in the fraudulent way they do business and stop deceiving customers. Being a small business should not be an excuse to lie and steal from local residents.
