Absolutely the worst store I have ever dealt with. [redacted] He refuses to honour a warranty on a product based on what he recalls of a conversation from 7yrs ago, but does not remember the customer.......just the conversation. I would rather sleep on the floor than purchase another item from his store.

To whom it may concern on or about Jan 8/2018 my Fiance and I went to International Mattress Brands Store on Norwich Ave in Woodstock Ont. We went there to purchase a bed we were talking to *** and I told her that I had to go into the hospital on Jan. 15/2018 for a cancer operation and I wanted my Fiance to have a good bed because I may not make it through the operation. *** We ended up purchasing a mattress and box spring for $850.00 and we asked if it could be delivered right away, she hesitated and then she said yes we can deliver it tomorrow. Sol we bought the bed and they delivered it the next day and when the delivery guys arrived they were acting strange and didnt want me to look at the mattress and take the plastic off or anything. I found this to be rather odd behavior on their part. When my Fiance and I sat on the bed we both said this mattress is not right. So we lived on the bed and both sunk to the middle. We gave it one night and called Ann at the store the next day and told her that they sent us a used mattress. And she said no I did not and we asked for the one we bought and she said no and she said to bad we are not taking it back and she was very rude to my Fiance on the phone and made her really upset. *** So we ended up having to go to Sleep Country and spend $1200 on another bed and we still have the $850.00 bed that we cant use. We are both on pensions and cant afford such nonsense and dont appreciate this treatment. We would appreciate your full attention into this matter. Thank-you.
For them to take the mattress and box spring back and return my money
I have reviewed our records in response to your complaint and have the
following to report.
I can state with certainty that the customer received the mattress they
have purchased and I can also state with certainty that the delivery was handled
promptly and professional and without any of the strange events the customer mentioned.
It was suggested to the client at time of delivery that a centre support bar for
the existing bedframe should be installed to give proper support and to comply with
the warranty requirements.
For the sake of a complete record it should also be stated
that the delivery crew removed the customers old mattress and foundation
and re- delivered it as per the original agreement to his sister and placed it
in a bedroom at her residence in Woodstock, at no charge! Certainly
not something we do in an attempt to take advantage of a customer, but
rather as a special accommodation to assist someone in need.
The clients original complaint per telephone was that he believed
he did not receive the mattress he selected. This was followed up and it was
determined with certainty that this was not the case and that the client received
the correct product.
Under normal circumstances we do not have a problem to go out to a clients
residence to inspect a product , however I regret to say
that after reviewing the clients statement of complaint and the many factual errors
and omissions it contains, coupled with the clients intimidating and aggressive encounters
with the personnel at the store and on the telephone I can not offer to do
that at this point.
